Story (drawing/poem/ect.) involving this Fenrid:
It makes it difficult to say you love someone if you feel they aren't all there. It tests how strong your love is. It shows you when someone needs you, and when it's time to let go.
I layed beside Ryn. He was burning under his blanket. I worried for him like I usually did. I loved Ryn more than anything, but after being attacked by what he called 'The Sky Turtles', he had been driven mad. He spoke of things like fish with hands, talking ice cream cones, and purple elephants with yellow spots. Nothing that made sense. But I loved Ryn to much to give up on him. After months in the mental institute, they declared him incurable. He didn't even remember me, but I forced the people there to let me take him back to the house. I refused to let him stay there with a bunch of other weirdos. I taught him my name, and he could soon form simple sentances without aid, but he still told me about insane, impossible things. The worst of it was, unlike other lunatics, who stuttered when they talked, curled up in fetal possition, or did things like that, he talked normally. It was like he was having a normal, everyday conversation with me about these things.
I spent almost a year trying to cure Ryn. "Ryn," I would say, "you really must stop talking about this nonsense. None of it really happened." But then he would give me a wide-eyed look.
"Oh, no, Amilie! It did. You see, I was walking on a cloud when suddenly, The Sky Turtles swooped down and started attacking me! I feel off the cloud, but luckily, and chocolate girrafe came and rescued me. We ran from The Sky Turtles, but they were quick..." It was a different story every time. I felt so awful for poor Ryn. His parents wouldn't come and see him, not tht he remembered who they were. His friends pretended they didn't know who he was, but he didn't know who they were, either. His teachers always ignored him, but he didn't really care about that. He hardly cared about anything. It was like taking care of a baby.
One day, I decided to take Ryn to the park. He loved going for walks, especially to parks. He liked children and children loved Ryn.
Ryn was playing with some kids on a swing set when a man came and sat beside me. He was all black and had a large set of wings. He smiled at me.
"Hello." he said in a nice voice. I smiled back.
"Hi." and then I went back to watching the swing set. He seemed to watch it, too. Suddenly, Ryn ran over, holding hands with a small girl. She had black fur like the man beside me.
"Daddy, this is my new friend, Ryn." said the little girl. The man blinked at Ryn in bewilderment.
"Amilie, this is my new friend, Dixie." Ryn said to me. I smiled sheepishly at the man. Dixie and Ryn ran off to the swing set again.
"What is with that man, Ryn?" he asked me. I bit my lip.
"Ryn was attacked by something. He has forgotten most of his past, and he often talks about crazy things. He's more like a child than an adult, really." I explained. The man smiled.
"You're lucky, then. I'm Jay, I work at the mental institute. Now that you mention it, I think I remember Ryn. Sky Turtles, right?" he asked me. I smiled and nodded. "Listen," he said, "you look like you know how to take good care of Ryn. But I have a question for you: do you really want to?"
The question caught me up short. Ryn was my best friend... or he used to be. He was there for me... or he used to be. He needed me more than anyone else... or he used to. There was nothing extraordinary I could do for Ryn. And now that I thought about it, I realised. I would never be able to have a real life with Ryn. I could never find a mate or have pups. I could never find friends or a job, or live the life I wanted. Because I'd be busy taking care of Ryn.
"I know a nice family." said Jay. "They are a young couple, both of which do the same thing as me. They would love to take care of Ryn, I'm sure. Unless of course, you do want to take care of him." I sighed.
"I... I think I should do what's best for Ryn..." I stuttered. "He needs a better home."
A few days later, Ryn moved out. I had met with the couple, and I agreed. They were perfect for Ryn.
Ryn was just about to leave when he grabbed my arm. "Amilie," he said, "Good-bye. I love you." he said. He had picked that up from me saying it to him all the time. I love you. He didn't even know what it ment.
"Good-bye, Ryn. I love you, too." and he got in the car and left.
I smiled, and knew that I had finally let go. I didn't love him anymore. But why tell him when he didn't need to know?
It's better than my last one, but it still stinks. xD
