I don't know how old these footprints are;I tell Lyra to try and find a fresh scent along the pawprints,

Lyra imeadiatly looks up at you, telling you these are about 3-5 minutes old. She wags her tail, excited that you chose her to bring along with you.

I follow the pawprints in the snow looking for the wolves.

You come to a clearing, were you see all of the wolves. Well, not all of them. No pups are in sight.

















They all look up at you angrily. This wolf: comes out of a den higher than the rest, the alpha male. You hear squealing of pups coming fromm his den. This wolf follows the alpha male out, she is the alpha female. All of the wolves get up from their places, snarling, barking, and growling. Lyra lets out a small whimper and backs up.

The alpha male and female leap down from their den. The male looks at his pack and flicks his tail, and they all begin to follow him towards you. His dark red eyes lock onto yours, challenging you, showing you who is in charge. He bares his teeth, waiting for you to look away. The alpha female blends in with the snow, her peircing blue eyes frustrated and frightened. She seems the most vicious of the pack along side this: female. They are probably the two mothers. You did hear squealing coming from the brown faes den. Lyra barks ferociously at them, warning them not to hurt you. She bares her teeth and raises the hair on her back. You've never seen her this angry.
