"I'm Madeleine." I said, i petted his head and added "Well, more like freinds that are animals, we have to keep the small ones in cages but they like it and would die if we just let them run around my house. But the big animals like you don't have to stay in a cage, you would get to explore the whole house." I smilled at him once more.

Meldiriel tilted her head slightly and studied Sparrow's face. "Nice to meet you Sparrow," she said in a kind voice. "I do belive I remember seeing you here before.. You're determined to get a companion?" She asked curiously, scooting closer to the human. "You interest me..." She said, being oddly honest. When another human walked up and introduced herself as 'Emily' the hound smiled, but looked back at Sparrow. "Do you travel much? Many humans that come here do so I thought I might as well ask..." Looking back at Emily Meldiriel smiled slightly, "You're looking to adopt...?"

"I do, actually" Vision grinned. "Not always very far, but I actually travel most weekends, and they're always animal-frendly places...beaches, hiking in the mountains, and sometimes just another town, for a change of scenery." I grinned at her. "And, in response to wanting a companion, yes, I am looking for one. I often get lonely, so I want someone to spend time with." As I talked, I gently stroked Meldiriel's soft fur.

"Melda," Locien called looking over at the female.

Melda snorted a puff of smoke and pranced around the large room
with her head held high. Although her open disdain for humans she
did enjoy showing to them. "I wonder who will try and impress me
today..." She asked herself with a chuckle knowing that at least one
would try. Slowing to a halt the hound sat down near the door and
waited.

Chance of leaving- 30%

i looked at Melda and could tell she was a strong dog, and strong-willed too, but i also saw great beauty in her."hello" i said with confidence "my name is ilovewolfs1, but you can just call me wolfs. anyways, your name is Melda, right? it's nice to meet you" i said ever word as friendly as i could, but keped my confidence. "i know dogs like food, i'm not sure really what you like, but here, if you want" i reached into my pocket and pulled out a peace of meat and handed it to her. "i heard your a tough girl. i bet you keep all these boy dogs in place right?" i looked around at the other dogs. "can you breath fire? i saw some smoke come from your nose, thats cool" Melda didn't look amused by what i said, but i was just trying to get talking. "so do you like humans like me? i would understand if you didn't, us humans can be so weird" i chuckled a bit, but keped a cool head. i could tell it would be hard to get Melda to like me, but i was trying my best. i nodded slowly to her, and waited for her reply.

Just curious but can more then one person write a response to the dogs and if so then how do you choose who gets the dog?

Do you mean can more than one person try to impress a hound? Yes.
Well, I pick the person who has the best story [in my opinion] to get the hound.

"Nendir, come on out of there," said Locien with a stern
look at one of the younger males.

Nendir poked his head out from under a chair and frowned,
it wasn't so much that he was afraid of humans, he liked them,
it was just that there were so many around him. Scooting out
from his hiding spot the yearling walked more towards the center
of the room, catching a human in his peripheral view he watched,
mesmerized. The human ways fascinated him, even the way they
walked and talked.

I walked up to Nendir's room."Hello,"I called.I hoped to see him.I took out the old shoe and set it in his room.I wait for him to take it. He looked so cate.

And here is my story:

Their ugly... was the thought in my head but I never did get past that first thought for as I finished looking around the room, my eyes fell on one in particular.
The hound was defiantly capable of being a predator. A predator that even my inner wolf deemed worthy of notice.
And the color of this one hound was alluring to the eyes. A soft brown color like it came straight from the earth. And the tattoos... so extrinsic.
Without really realizing it, I had stopped in front of her and for a bit I had been standing there marveling at the looks of the hound. Finally I peeled my eyes away long enough to seek out her name, for only such a strong creature could be a female.

“Melda...” I said softly, like I was tasting the sound of the very name. I had recognized the elvish name that meant Mother of All Gods. She didn't seem quiet like a mother to me but all protectors and predators were mothers too, eventually that is. And Mother of all Gods... well she did seem like a Goddess to me, that was for sure.

I wasn't sure if the creature was looking through me to see the true me or was merely giving me a lazy look as if she didn't even care to see me. But at the sound of her name, I believe she did look at me, if only for a tiny second.

“O mighty warrior Melda, if I could only capture your attention long enough...” I said, letting her finish after me, hoping she would find me as worthy as I did her. If she did, then I was ready to make her my friend and take her home with me.

i don't think they are in cages. they are part of a pack i think. and also Locien is a hound himself.

well, i put up my thing. it's not really a story, it's just more talking to the dog. caz, i think thats what i would do, talk to it, not tell it a story. anyways, hope you like it, and please reply soon.
