Darn it Gai... why do you have to make such pretty babies and tempt me all over again? ;v;
-Paws at number 2-
I think I know what they are based on, but I could be horribly wrong as well.
Is the theme dogs? If so, are they a mastiff, a shiba inu and a Siberian husky/Alaskan malamute?
Awww, Kam beat me to it. V.V

Username : -3B-
Pen Number : 2
Why I want it : Far more reasons than I can express. xD Really, I've been following the Avaydians since... I think it was the second thread. I caught the trail end of the last round, and waited for a long time, hoping to see some new ones - I probably still have the old thread bookmarked, still.
Number Two caught my eye right away, when I looked at the pens. Just one look at that beautiful ginger coat and those stunning eye-attracting horns... and I was hooked. Now, at this point, I usually get ideas about how I can use a character... and boy, did I ever get a flood of them with this one, several that I liked centering on opposite genders. I started formulating just how well they'd work with each other... how well they'd fit into the storyline that I have going, and how I might be able to find a way to understand the various facets of the character - I found almost endless possibilities.
So I guess, in short, I want Number Two because I want to explore these ideas with her - as that is the gender she's quickly assuming in my head. As I've done with many of my characters, I want to discover, explore and come to terms with both parts of myself and parts of the world around me. Creative Definition of Character :Name: Holds no personal claim to a name; Those capable of naming things call her either Aner - a fragmented version of the Eskimo word "Angel" for her angel-like wings, or Tonrar, which means "Spirit" in the same language. She prefers the latter, during the odd moments when she actually cares what she's called.
The place where she currently lives is inspired by Seattle, WA., without the actual city and all of the people to control the whales that enter the bay. Some fragments of language have lingered since the humans died out, and the "language" remaining is a scrambled mess of all of the spoken languages today, carried on through parrots, and adopted by any creatures able to communicate through some sort of common language.
---
Refugee. That's all I am. Forget the huge body. The wide wings. Whatever majesty the smaller creatures attribute to me. I might as well be nothing more than a tiny chirpling, trying to find her way in the world. Trying to find herself.
Trying to find home.
I started off on my father's old lands, with my littermate, older brother, and aging mother. My father died trying to protect us... from what, I was too young to remember. But then food became scarce. Birds and mountain-dwelling creatures died or left, and the trees withered and became bare... even when the grasses and plants in the open valley below us grew to full blossom. We paired off, my two brothers heading one way, and my mother and I heading the other.
We explored for ages, and she eventually lost her fight with illness and weakness before I found this place... where the mountains touch the water, and the water touches the sky. It looks like the perfect haven... but there are creatures out here that would love a piece of me. Giant eagles patrol the skies, and orcas have come up from the bay, and hunt the fish that seek refuge here.
I know how they must feel, to think they're so safe, and yet....
They scare me. I've watched things that I could barely see take down monsters twice my size. But they also comfort me... nothing is safe here... not even them. I... I sometimes wonder if they, too, are refugees, just looking for a home. Just as I had.Other :

Congratulations Kam darling, you got the theme!
And you correctly guessed each dog breed. c:
PM me with whichever Avaydian of yours you would like re-colored in the new lines.
I'm also in the process of working on some chirpling lines, if you'd rather use those. 8D
Thank you all so much, I'm glad you like them<3
Thank you so much Tiikeria. 8D
