Personality: Loud, happy and outgoing. She is very kind towards his friends and loves making new ones all the time! Sometimes she could be lazy and or quiet.
History: When she was around 6, she did not have her cutiemark. She always wanted one, she tried everything. She tried art, planting, designing clothes, even trying to train animals. Nothing happened. Cherry was teased for not having a cutiemark. At the end of the day, she flies home. She used to help on her friends cherry barn with their family. Her friend, and their Grandmother told her how to make cherry drinks and sweets for the town.
As she turned 7, decided not to make sweets and drinks, Cherry loved the smell of cherries, so she decided to make sents that smelled like cherries. Cherry saw a shine on her flank and seen two cherries there. She was freaking out and told everyone. But then she got older and helped in the barn. Then she stopped and started opening shops and blogs.

Chase Wippersnut-Gomen; Australian Shepherd (Dog)

Intro:
Yo! I am hyperthymesia., a constantly exhausted agender student who has managed to emerge from the depths of schoolwork in order to apply for this beautiful thing. My username was inspired after my friend changed his to kalopsia, and fueled by his creativity I switched from a boring username that barely anyone knows now to one meaning something that is quite the opposite of my brain capacity. Oh, the irony, if that's what you call it.

Why this character? What uses will they have?
Well, I actually liked this character back when I applied for Indocnus, but out of personal preference I went for the one I believed I had more of a story foundation for. Kennel 18 caught my eye because of the colours - blue is my second favourite - and I just liked the simplicity of the squares, much like patches of fur, rather than a design that would be difficult to copy with precision. Now, I'm not saying that I'm lazy - cod knows how many complex designs I've drawn and done art for - but it would be cool to have this character because squares are pretty darn neat, in my opinion.
Furthermore, I believe that I can really spin a story for this character. His name suits him perfectly, and I just couldn't stop staring at those pretty eyes and ears. I've never owned a dog, but I imagine that if Chase was real, he'd had the most velvet ears ever. This character will go into my primary or secondary characters tab - which are exclusively uploaded to weebly and given art and love and attention. A lot of the characters I adopt from such centres end up going into my mains, actually, and I think that's because they come with the feeling that they will be under-appreciated. Well. Certainly not this one. He's gorgeous.
I think I love my characters too much because my groups for them are slowly growing bigger and bigger...

You may be questioning my choice of a surname for Chase - I don't blame you, it's a little odd, isn't it? It literally came off the top of my head, and reminds me of something that the marvellous Roald Dahl would have used in one of his fabulous stories; another word that reminds me of Chase's surname is whippersnapper, meaning 'a young and inexperienced [person] considered to be presumptuous or overconfident', which, truthfully, is how I perceive Chase to be. Young, full of life, and in all honesty, quite presumptuous - not understanding the need for personal space, and having a lack of shame or timidness.
I'm not quite sure what urged me to dash his name to Gomen - oh my cod it just occurred to me that the spelling is similar to the 'sorry' in Japanese, woops, unintentional - but I liked the sound of 'Wippersnut-Gomen', so it stuck. Although you can suggest that the latter part of his surname is applicable due to his clumsiness and habit of apologising in adorable ways.

Personality:
Chase is quite the over-enthusiast! Constantly bouncing about and generally being hyperactive, he is always getting into some sort of mess, especially when he oversteps boundaries that did not occur to him, such as physical contact, as he is prone to shoving his snout into one's face to sniff them out. Along with such a bubbly attitude comes the grave fact that: he is clumsy. And ridiculously so! Prone to walking into walls and tripping over thin air due to his head being in the clouds (or maybe that's his nearsightedness speaking...), Chase can be found wobbling about with numerous bruises, and yet still retain a happy-go-lucky nature that never seems to stop being present. Along with this, Chase is the most forgetful puppy you will ever come across. It's preposterous. You may tell him not to poke his muzzle into the paint ten times, over and over, and a couple of hours - boom! - his muzzle is covered in sticky paint that's starting to dry. His mischievousness is something, but his memory is all over the place in terms of things he only needs to remember for awhile - such as commands. "Don't eat the biscuit" always flies over his head.
Vocally, Chase is quite quiet. He doesn't bark much, and the only sounds he usually tends to make are whines and very soft-sounding huffs of approval or disapproval, depending on what it is he is huffing at. It's not that he is introverted - quite the opposite - it's just that he doesn't feel it necessary to vocalise his thoughts and beliefs if he can just communicate using body language and over-exuberant physical gestures. A similar aspect of Chase's use of such gestures is that he is prone to pulling one's ear if he is frightened, nudging into someone in order to form a ball that needs protecting. This is usually caused by his silly fear of spiders, which he despises with a burning passion after one jumped on him when he was a tiny pup.

History:
The short line is, Chase was abandoned as a newborn. Yep, you heard that right - abandoned. Neglected. Left to wilt. His mother was very ill, a stray, incapable of looking after the only puppy she had birthed which was not stillborn. So on the day of Chase's birth, not only did he lose a mother, but also five siblings. After realising that Chase was the only one alive, he was carried to a box and dumped there, his mother hobbling away to get some shelter from the drenching rain. Had he not been found by a kind passer-by, 'Biker' James, he surely would have perished.
Truthfully, Chase likes to think that his mother was a caring, lovely canine in her younger years. He sometimes daydreams of their adventures together should he ever discover such a lovely creature as she, wandering the world and exploring its nooks and crannies.

Favourite things, and why?
Contrary to popular belief due to this pup's hyperactive nature and inability to sit still, Chase loves a good read: classics in particular catch his attention. Many have a favourite item, a favourite thing - something they may be attached to, similar to Jane Eyre's quote of "[human beings] must love something...", and Chase has just that. In fact, Chase's ultimate favourite book is Jane Eyre itself. Having grown up with a punk [questionably] German Shepherd/Canaan dog who had a love for literature, he was allowed to express himself and bury himself in copious amounts of stories and tales of all sorts, gradually transitioning from fairy tales such as One Thousand and One Nights, Alice In Wonderland, and Andersen's Fairy Tales to classics like

Gosh, thought I'd already posted this-

I'm putting the DCAC on a sorta-hiatus. Pretty much, the next few months are incredibly busy for me and I just want to spend what free time I have right now relaxing before everything starts happening.

This place is not closed! You are all free to post adoption forms, etc. like usual. The code drop will just most likely be delayed and the broken character images won't be fixed till further notice (would've done it by now but my internet is so slow that CS crashes when I go to the front page)

So sorry for the inconvenience, guys. I'll be back to working on this stuff as soon as my schedule isn't as busy
