Dislikes: getting to warm or cold, loud noises, those who think to highly of themselves,
Secret wishes: Finding a mate & making a family, finding others who like things she likes, a better napping place.
Attitude: Midoriko is very cold around those who she doesn’t know. She dislikes being around a large (4+) of people. Though she isn’t shy, she just plainly dislikes others. She has no problem telling one how it is, nor does she back off form a fright. Evanescence is most happy when she’s curled up with a book and a bamboo shoot in front of her. She will go after those she finds annoying as well as those who just don’t know how to shut up.
True, she does have a darker meaner side, which most see, she is actually nice. Over the years of abuse she had received from others in the bamboo grove, Midoriko had been the butt of every joke, thus making her over sensitive to what others say and making her act tough so no one would dare make her the butt of jokes again. To those who can actually see past the cold, seemingly heartless ways, they are able to see a scared little cub who just wants friends.
She adores cubs/kits in general babies, and has a secret wish to be a mother herself. She also wishes to be like her mother, someone who is loved by all and someone everyone would be willing to talk to, not make fun of and protect.
Bio:Two years ago, in a small bamboo grove, lay a litter of red panda cubs nestled close to a small river the led in to a waterfall. The mother of this kits were a pure snowy white, many of the villagers that lived near buy thought the white panda had come from the gods themselves.
Midoriko was born along side two other males, though she was the lightest and smallest of the group, she was also the eldest.
Not to long after her birth did the villagers believe the gods had blessed their small village once more, for Midoriko had smokey grey with white markings around her small frame. The villagers believe that tsuki-yomi had come down from the heavens and brought forth a lucky charm.
While still young, but no longer depending on her mother, a few of the villagers stole her from her den. Carried her as if she was a new born to a small hut, that resembled and old whether worn shrine, surrounded by a lake that the small river had emptied in to.
For weeks, the villagers brought her many gifts, some of which she had mo clue as to what they were. She had revived gold collars, foods from the forest that were said to belong to the gods, she had gotten as much as anything else, preys.
10 months passed by when a rusted colored fox with 3 tails trotted over to the shrine from the long dock that reached from land to the shrine. Sniffing around the doorway, the fox tried to figure out what goods were in this broken down building. The noise of the fox braking in, woke the young Midoriko, in return startled the fox.
“good sire, may I ask as the business of your intrusion?” she asked, her tail curled across the front of her body, covering her feet. She stared in to the fox's eyes, awaiting a reply.
The fox smiled, a fake grin that covered a more darker version, he looked back up to the small panda. “child, are you not to young to be away from your mother?” he cocked his head to the left side, while taking a more relaxed sitting posture, warping his tails around his front paws.
“Forgive me but I have not seen my mother in many a months. I was taken while sleeping” she sighed deeply, the sorrow of that night's events weighed heavy on her mind. She glanced out one of the broken windows. The moon was almost gone.
The fox glanced behind the panda, a grin ripped through his muzzle, reaching his ears. He saw not only gold, put food, food that he would never have been able to gain in the wild. He trotted over to the panda, with his sly grin. A malevolent plan had been formed in his mind. “my dear child” he through one paw over her shoulder. She looked at him, “I'll make you an offer, you give me your things” his head nodded in the gold's direction” and I will take you to see your mother.”
after a few more months, Midoriko realized that no matter how much she asked, the fox just didn't seem motivated enough to take her. The fox had grown fat from the food villagers brought for midoriko. Yet he still had the noose of her mother hanging around her throat. It wouldn't be until months later before she finally gained enough strength to through out the fox and run from her jail.
She had finally returned back to her home, excitement took hold of every muscle in her small body, as she jumped over the hills. On the last hill however, told a different tale. She stood there in her tracks, at the site of not her home, but that of another breed. Her bamboo grove had turned in to a small village, her mother, brothers, her live was gone, she had become an empty mass of fur. Walking through the village, taking in all memories of what the land once looked like.
She stopped at another small shrine, she sighed deeply, her breath was shaky and emotionless, almost empty. Though before she could get on the first step, a small, tailless dog bit down on her tail. She yelped and whipped around, the small dog was a bit taller then she, though not by much, he had ears that would make a kit envy him, his legs were short and stumpy, the stub of his tail moved in a wagging motion. She had never laid eyes on such a beast.
“who are you” he barked, his snarl seemed more amusing then it was evil, or fearsome. Her ears went close to her head as she snapped back, “i should ask you, what happened to my home?” both had bristled down the spine, both's ears were back. Before the dog could snap a remark back, a young girl in odd clothing yelled his name. The dog known as Masen, seemed to be more amused with the youth rather then her. The young girl looked at Midoriko, a smile seemed to light up her entire face, as she moved fast to pick up the young panda.
“well, I say, you have to be the cutest-” she paused and looked down at the dog, the a smile hit her face once more, “second cutest thing I have ever seen.” the girl cradled midoriko close, like a baby, against her shoulder, ever so lightly petting her back.
The girl ran back to her hut, her parents wore different close, a lot similar to the girls, on the right, there was two more humans who wore more clothes which seemed to fit the time better in japan. The women smiled with a bit of sorrow in the mix. “my, child, what do you have?” the girl smiled, “i have a kitty, I found her in front of the shrine” she beamed with pure happiness, then she turned to her parents. “mama, may I please have her, there is nothing like her in England”
the women whom spoke first looked at the girl's mother “what the child has, is known as a red panda. Though I believe she is the only daughter to the white panda that use to roam this part of the land a year back.” the women continued to explain about her.
In the end, the mother allowed her daughter to keep midoriko, though she never left japan. Midoriko, may not have found her true home, but she still holds her mother's love deep inside.
Picture I drew of her :

Its Suppose to look like a wood art painting .__.
