Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:This is a truly awesome design and it deserves lots of love. I, for one, am totally smitten with it. Even though I normally have
this... [i]thing[/i ]against sitting/reclining reference pictures (I can't stand them) I still really want this guy. The first thing I'd do
would be to get a ref of him in a standing/leaping/jumping position, preferably drawn someone else, otherwise I'll do it myself.
I love his top-hat and gambling accoutrements, the x's on his back, the tail on fire, the striped green stomach. Just,
everything, really. Except the colors on that sock. I'll have to tweak those. I've always admired these types of crazy
detailed designs, but have never been able to design one myself that I liked.
As for his future, well, obviously I'll be ordering art, sketching my own stuff by hand (I do not have a scanner, alas!), and
coloring in some free refs available here on chicken smoothie, and ordering art from other people. I will definitely do an
anthro version myself, both in art and roleplays/story cameos. I'd love to see what he looks like under that mask, too. Yes, I do enjoy writing, and I'd want to show off his design in roleplays (Subtley, you know, just by having him there; no one likes a braggart, ha ha). He could also definitely appear in some of my stories, probably not as a main character, but you never know.
Personality:Casipade is a freak. That's what people call him. And whenever he overhears them, he smiles, slowly and smugly. Sure,
he's a freak, and he's darn proud of it! It took him a while to get this look right. Gold plating his claws alone took fifty thousand dollars. Casipade works for a casino, spinning the roullette wheel while in wolf form, and as blackjack dealer while in anthro form. He was hired for his wierd appearance and bold personality, so being a freak is part of his job. He doesn't just run the tables, he's part of the eye candy in Vegaz's largest casino. Casipade takes his steady job very seriously.
So he's clearly thorough, conscientious, and confident when on the job. But Casipade also loves to gamble, and in his free
time, he has a fun-loving sense of mischief. Casipade, though born as empathetic as everyone else, has developed a strong
sense of detachment from the rest of the world, allowing him to find amusement in other's troubles. On the other hand, Cas
still doesn't like seeing innocent people beat up, and will try to help, if it isn't too much trouble. He also can't stand whiners
and those who think the world exists to serve them. He likes to give them instructive lessons in reality, and gets very
annoyed if prevented from doing so.
If Casipade gets to know you, he may start to take a more altruistic view of your affairs. This means he will give you the best
advice he can, and he has culled it from a wide experience. Casipode believes you should "try everything once," and has
lived by that phrase. Hence the permanent smoking tail. So while he has tried many things once, he has done few things
twice. Casipade knows what he likes.
Casipade also loves being the center of attention- especially positive attention. He loves winning big, or being the star
attraction. But an episode in his youth taught him the fickleness of fame. So now he carefully cultivates attention with his
peculiar appearance, and mistrusts most admiration, even as he yearns for it.

History/Background:When he was young, Casipade won the Junior World League Poker Championship. Assured by the media that "they would
watch his future career with great interest," Casipade did his best, and was a member of the winning team in the Professional
World League Poker Championship. For the run of the championship, he enjoyed the pleasant sensation of being famous,
for the media loved his personality and his looks. Unfortunately, he was also the worst player on the winning team. When
this was revealed at the end of the Championship, his fame and his honor among the media disappeared abruptly, never to
return.
Casipade had discovered a strong dislike for poker back in the Junior World Leagues. Now that it appeared he would be,
at best, a one or two time winner of the Championship, and then only on the team, Casipade eagerly accepted the offer of
Vegaz's largest casino to work there. He would be part regular employee, part attraction. His life would be about his
showmanship, and before too long, it wasn't showmanship any more. Casipade really believed he was who he said he was.
On his free time, Casipade offers genuine tours of the "Vegaz Underworld." He'll take you through the labyrinth of sewers (still active and with quite a distinctive scent), down abandoned subway lines, with all of their secrets, and even the ancient catacombs (which are also still active, thanks to the mafia). He'll even take you to view the mafia's biggest hideouts. All this is possible because Cas loved to explore the city as a child, and because Casipade is such a small fry that big mafia sharks don't find him threatening, or even worth a bite. If he happens to bring a couple of other small fry along to bask in their glory for a few moments, they don't mind. But step off the path Cas has beaten, and you'll see your life flash before your eyes.

Other:Humans, unlike machines, are not static. The characters I own grow and change with me, if I feel they need to. I have been toying with the idea of turning Casipade female, because I simply don't have enough female characters. The personality and history would remain the same.
