Heh X3 I always line with my mouse so my tablet is standing on my shelf lonily (can't spell X3)...

It just depends how what you prefer really. I can't draw worth anything with a mouse or trackpad like some people. If it weren't for my tablet I couldn't draw anything digital at all. <_<
Besides...Tablets take getting used to. You can't just buy a tablet and expect that it will be a miracle worker and all your art will look AMAZING if you have one. But apparently that's what most people like to think oddly. It's completely different than working with a pencil and paper. Or a mouse...so yeah...it does take lots a practice to get use to the techniques and how to use the pen properly...

Anyways that's my rant. X3 I'm so excited to see what everyone comes up with for the mascot. I was going to try but I just don't have the time for it.
