Username:Eleya
Kennel Number: 239
Use:Might be used for writing, since I start to really like my idea for her background story. Actually only wanted to get and draw art of her, and mybe include her in a story about some of my other canine characters... Well, seems like she gets a new and own story with maybe my other characters joining her.
Name: Faith
Gender: female
Species and/or specific breed: Dog / Rough Collie
Date of birth:27.02.2094
Zodiac Sign:Fish
Chinese Zodiac Sign:Tiger
Personality:Faith is a very active dog. She prefers running around and hunting leafs or snow flakes or balls. Thats why she doesnt like rainy days. She feels she cant be outside lots then and cant get her energy used. And she has lots of energy. After being active the whole day, relaxing is always needed. Regain energy for the next day full of activity.
Faith loves to get attention. She loves all knids of animals and all kinds of humans. She is the kind of dog who will not stay still until she wasnt able to greet you. Be sure to get lots of dog kisses (or maybe your face washed?) when getting to close to her. Faith also loves to be hugged, cuddled and stroked. Preferably you should tickle her belly. She will throw herself on the back right in front of your legs, just to make sure, you know what she wants.
Now that she lives without her humans, she lives as part of a pack. She takes a lower position in the pack, since she doesnt like fights. She bows to others to show them she is not agressive. And she doesnt care. Since they are not a pack in a common sence, she doesnt really have disadvanteges. She has her home and when hunting they all get their part. When hunting small animals, they sometimes even dont get all together. When it comes to her house though, Faith would fight to death to keep it protected. It means everything to her, since it is the last hope to ever see her boy again.
History/Background:"I was born during really hard times on earth. The third world war was going on. A bioweapon caused an epidemic that nearly wiped out humanity. I was born in the house of a collie breeder who still thought he would be able to live a normal life again someday. And when I was eight weeks old, I was sold to a small family. My owners had two children. A seventeen year old girl and a fourteen year old son. The boy was called Jamie and I was a present for him to his birthday. Later on, I found out that Jamies birthday wasnt the only reason, why he got a dog. It was also because his parentes would have to tell him soon, that his sister was ill. They all knew the epidemic caused her getting weaker and weaker each day. She was taken to hospital far to late and my instincts told me, the parentes were already infected too.
But well, I did my job. Cheered up the little boy as good as I could. You need to know, I was that kind of dog, who will be nice and friendly to everyone, who loves attention and gives out kisses for no reason. A dog waging his tail nearly all day long. And I always got him smiling, even if it was only a little smile. And that meant the world for me. I loved my new home and my new family as much as I even could. Well, when I was at four month of age, the girl was finally taken to hospital and never returned. A little more than a month later doctors called and told us she died. The next days not even my clumsy tries to make him smile could cheer him up. But still he kept the will to survive. He often told me that he would always be there for me and would never let me alone.
Just to distract himself he showed me his favourite TV Series "Star Trek".
"I know its bad to wish for something as cruel as a world war," he said, "but I belive that when this is all over, someone will invent Warp-technologie and the Vulcans will come to earth for the first contact."
I decided it was time to give my young friend a kiss. Just to show him, I did belive the same. He rewarded me with a smile and gifted me a collar with the Star Trek symbol a few days later. "Now you are even cooler than Captain Archers beagle Porthos!", he said with a big smile on his face. It ment a lot to me, since Porthos was my most beloved character in all the series. Well, he was the only dog after all.
When I was seven months old, the parentes showed the first symptoms of the disease. They were coughing all the time, and started to become weak. Even getting the newspaper in got exhausting for them. Just a few weeks later someone came, to take them to hospital. Jamie knew as well as I did, what this ment. They would die there. Just like his older sister did. He was down again. Of course, he was all alone now, with only a puppy on his side. How would I care for him? I wasnt able to cook, nor was I able to protect him. I was still a puppy after all. The people who took his parentes away knew that too. It only took them two more days, to get him to an institution for children whos parentes were ill. No pets allowed there of course.
It was horrible to see my boy crying for now loosing his last familymember. And well, if I would have been a human, I would have cried too. How would I be able to survive? I never learned to hunt. I never learned how life would be without humans. I wanted to go and search for him, but always came back to the familys house since I thought he maybe would come back some day. On my trips I met other left over dogs, who helped me to find food. First we lived from what humans left. Streets got emptier each day. We started to enter markets and steal food there, but no one was there to chase us away anyways. Later on we learned how to hunt. Rabbits and rodents got common in the city. Even deer passed by sometimes. This city that seemed so empty, since no human beeing was left there, was now taken over by animals.
We dogs formed kind of packs. We all had our very own house (and I would defend mine with life!) but we met for hunting and talking about what to do next. Nearly all of my new friends lost hope. They said humans would never come back. Brennain and Winona (oh dear, I adored her so much for being named after Captain Kirks mother), a pair of siblings who were half wolves, always claimed that it would be better without humans anyways. They told us the tricks of hunting and tried not to sleep inside the houses, but outside the city in the forest.
I counted them as my best friends, so I once invited them in my house. They laughed about my idea of aliens comming to earth after the world war, but they never got rude. And I belive that somehow they also thought it would be fascinating to travel in a space ship. I knew i had their full attention when talking about the adventures of Porthos. They though would never admit they liked Star Trek. Well, it has been more than three years since then. I am roughly four years old now, and I still wait for my beloved boy to come home. Winona does her best to cheer me up when I get sad again, while Brennain is the more direct type. I know he is right when saying Jamie could never return, since he is dead. How would he survive, while the rest of his family died? But well, hope never dies. Since I dont know for sure weather he survived or not, I will always stay home and wait for him to return.
Ah yes! What I still need to tell you: The third world war is over. I feel there were simply to little humans left to continue fighting. I havent seen one for more than three years now. So well, maybe the aliens will come and find a world ruled by animals, when they come visit us."
