Use: I'd like to use him as a major villain in a story actually. (Weird I know) but there is a big MLP story I have still in the works and it actually needs a villain who can blend in with everyday ponies in terms of coloration and the like. There are people out there who discriminate even the most normal looking Alicorns, (I had a very angering experience with some very closed minded people.) To simply label every single Alicorn OC as horrible due to the ones that aren't done well, is something that really upsets me. People need to know that even though these characters aren't real, the people behind them are and it hurts to have their characters dismissed just because they are Alicorns. Lusacan is going to be more proof to the world that not every single Alicorn OC ever created ever is horrible or bad. He's going to be the very best he can possibly be and I want to be the one who unlocks his true potential.

I'm a big Alicorn fan and I know that the bad rep OC Alicorns get is sometimes absolutely grass munchblubs. I like showing the world that Alicorns aren't all bad and you can only truly judge one by personality and back story. Now I realize that this is a complete and utter most nut tastic task I could undertake considering he's an alicorn with odd markings and the like but I'm willing to give this a shot. I'd like to be the person who orders art and says to the artist yes this is my character and I love him. I want to be able to draw him with no limits such as if I get a tiny detail wrong, say the exact color of his eyes or the tiny stripes on his ears, that it wouldn't matter because he's mine. I'd like to write about him and have it not matter if he changes as the story goes along. It's hard to say just how he caught my eye, I spotted him one day and just fell in love with the bright orange color of his hair and the adorable stripes on his ears.

Name: Lusacan

Origins of the name and explanations on terminology used: Lusacan comes from the Dragon Age series. In that universe he was one of Tevinter Imperiums widely worshiped old gods. The dragon of Night specifically. In the events of Dragon age Origins, Lusacan still slumbers deep beneath the earth, not yet having been found and corrupted by the monstrous creatures that are Darkspawn. Unlike most of his fellow old gods.

Darkspawn are terrible creatures that follow the eerie song of the Archdemon which looks very much like a dragon. It is widely debated on whether or not an Archdemon is actually a dragon. The first Darkspawn are said have to have been human mages, who stood in the city of the Maker (The Dragon age equivalent to God) and corrupted it. In return they themselves became corrupted and when they touched one of the slumbering old gods, he awakened as the very first arch demon. Causing the first blight. A blight is when the lesser Darkspawn find and corrupt an old god then march from deep under the earth. Covering the land in great swathes of vicious uncaring darkness that taints the very ground upon which they walk on. It is a terrible time.

Underneath their cool, calm and collected exterior, Taureans differ greatly from all the other signs of the zodiac. Taureans manage to discreetly stay apart from the crowd, even though they have a well-earned reputation for being socialisers. They will let others get close, but only so close as they want them. Some claim that trying to get your point across to a Taurean, should they not want to hear you, is rather similar to talking to the trees – they simply won't budge. And, there is no such thing as an open-book Taurean. Their feelings, fears and desires often run far deeper than anyone around them would guess. Like the butterfly that chooses to remain hidden in its cocoon until it is ready and prepared to emerge, so the true Taurean spirit remains hidden behind a veneer of day-to-day activities.

The truth is, when Taureans manage to operate very adequately on their own form of automatic pilot, they can switch off from the world around them very efficiently. And when they do switch off, they are actually gathering in their inner reserves to deal with the outside pressures.

Lusacan is charming and charismatic. A real ladies stallions by all means. He's also not your traditional handsome bad guy, he doesn't abuse his followers in any way. He respects all of them even down to the messengers or errand colts/fillies. This Alicorn doesn't take kindly to bullies or goody two shoes and will do all he can within his physical limits to crush them into nothing. He uses espionage to get rid of the opposition, bullies and pesky goody two shoes. Lusacan can be disdainful at times with a hint of sarcasm thrown in for kicks. He hides his feelings most of the time, opting to hide such things away rather than reveal them. Lusacan is extremely stubborn and when he has made good solid plans it's like trying to move a boulder with nothing but bare hands and brute strength. He just wont budge.

Lusacan blends in with the crowd even with his odd coloration due to him acting like any other pony in their day to day life, wandering round talking others and just generally enjoying life. He's very forgiving to those that do him wrong or make mistakes in steps of his plans or even deliver a simple letter to the wrong pony. He'll pat them on the shoulder and tell them it's okay, these things happen to everyone. A very social stallion, Lusacan is often at the biggest events in equestria, the summer sun celebration, the Winter Moon Celebration and many other highly important events. Even being the big socialite that he is, Lusacan still manages to stay apart from the crowd. Just because he doesn't like someone doesn't mean he cannot respect who they are and what they do.

He keeps ponies only as close as he can stand them, really there's nopony his own age whose physically touched him in years. He only allows youngsters within touching distance as they often want to thank him for taking them from abusive homes or just giving them something to live for. Lusacan enjoys the more peaceful things in life, such as soft music and the gentle burble of streams. Nobody ever said a villain had to be despised by everyone he meets is a saying he keeps close to his heart.

Lusacan never gives up on a friend, just because he's a villain doesn't mean he doesn't have friends. He simply prefers to have just a few very close friends rather than a big huge crowd milling around him.

History/Background: The stallion poured over the reports scouts had sent in. An ear splitting grin broke the mask of concentration on his face and the Alicorn whooped excitedly. While a bit unexpected, the invasion from the planes of Astra would push the plans a little farther back but the time to strike had come whether he liked it or not. With a soft noise his horn ignited

Flaws?: Some say that Lusacan has no flaws at all. I suppose to most it would seem that those who assume such a thing are right. He has flaws of course but the one that causes the most chaos is his hatred for Princess Airan, the current ruler of the kingdom of Rethien. Lusacan hates her with every living fiber of his very being, it is a flaw that has stained his very soul.

Basic History:
Jay has been interested with death and everything related to it since a very young age.

Their mother was a baker, and their father worked as a grave digger at the cemetery not that far down the road. As a young Birdling, Jay has gone down to the cemetery where their father worked on even-numbered days, and to the bakery on off days. Life at the bakery had gotten quickly boring, with the routine being the same every day: bake the bread, make more dough, and work on orders. But at the cemetery, each day held a new surprise. Some days it was digging graves all day with their claws, other days it was helping the priest with burial and comforting the mourning visitors.

When it came time for Jay to choose their career path, they chose to work at the cemetery without hesitation. Years passed, and Jay had climbed the ladder all the way to the top: they had acquired ownership of the cemetery that they have worked at since a young Birdling.

Now, they are working at the cemetery full-time. Sometimes, they go down to the local bakery on vacations and help out there, whether it was cashierwork or baking delicious sweets themselves.
