Glad to see you're back, hopefully that slump's gone for good :c
Will we be finishing the Christmas event? I understand if not ^^
Litter 6 Codedrop
YAAAAAY it's finally here! You've all certainly waited long enough, so let's see who got this litter- the theme was prehistoric, and we've certainly got some weird but wonderful Florfaunas here!
And yes, I was meaning to release this yesterday- you'll have to thank my brother for hogging the computer all day.
Egg 1
"Dieno", owned by ❤️Sylveon Hearts!
Wait... it's got bush Florfauna ears, but it has tree antlers?! This confusing critter is a King Sago Palm Florfauna- except they aren't actually palms, but a cycad. Cycads were around even before the dinosaurs, and have existed for over 200 million years! Today, they are used to make sago or sagu; a staple food eaten in New Guinea, but it is prepared very carefully as cycads also contain lethal toxins.

Egg 2
"Poppy", owned by cherry blossom.!
You got a Monkey Puzzle Tree Florfauna! These strange spiky trees have been around since the Jurassic, and are currently listed as Endangered due to it's dwindling population. Legend has it they were named when a Victorian gentleman was showing off a specimen to his friends, and one remarked "It would puzzle a monkey to climb that".

"Dino", owned by catterpilers4you!
Wow, this one has some strange ears... that's because it's a Great Horsetail Florfauna; which is part of the only living genus in the entire family Equisetaceae, which reproduce with spores rather than seeds. For over 100 million years this family of plants dominated prehistoric forests, but today only the horsetails remain. Additionally, they have multiple uses that have been used many times throughout history- the ancient Romans used to cook and eat shoots in a similar way to asparagus, and even made tea with it!

Egg 4
"Acacia", owned by Violet Berries!
This is a Ginkgo Tree Florfauna, and it's the only living species in the division Ginkgophyta. Also known as the maidenhair tree, it's been found in fossils dating back 270 million years! They are native to China, and every Autumn they drop thousands of beautiful golden leaves- one extremely old tree at a Buddhist temple even attracts it's own tourists because of this.

"Wait a minute, I don't recognise these markings!" I hear you cry. That's right, these guys have all new markings that will soon be available for all litters to have! You'll have to wait to see their rarities though
In order, the new markings are Panda, Mosaic, Aztec and Sunbeam.
Stay tuned for the next litter's release + archive updates that I'll be doing that once I come back from my driving lesson
