Goennec Pen #: 3.
Name: Secret (Originally Secretariat).
How would you use him/her: ... I think I've covered it in past forms ^^ Art, writing, the works.
Define your Goennec: Secret's icy white hooves plodded softly on the sweet-smelling grass, his breath misting in the crisp autumn morning. Overpowering sadness pulsed from his deep brown coat, and his deep blue eyes never stopped twitching as they sought out potential danger. Or were they looking for something else? This thought darted through his mind, but he ignored it, already knowing that he was looking for far more then measly predators. He was looking for his life.

Memories were mulling around his mind like a series of rain-clouds waiting to break. Finally they broke; memories fell through his mind in torrents, like the terrible rainstorms that flooded his old home. Secret reared, trying to block the memories away, but instead the rain-clouds above him opened and let out even more icy torrents, stinging his skin with their sharp cold. He bounded away and hid in a stone cave suspended several feet above the ground, and there he rested. Soon he fell asleep, and he dreamed of his former life...

---

A light brown goennec shuffled around the tiny cave, her ears pricked attentively. "It's going to rain, wonderful..." She muttered sarcastically. Another female was lying beside her, and she growled, "Why can't the pesky rain just go away? It's supposed to be warm, summery weather. Not raining like it has been." The light brown female, Clover, murmured to her friend, "Our kids shouldn't have to be born in floodlands. And we're too far into pregnancy to go much farther then the opening of this cave." Her eyes flicked dully, their immense blue color shining in the dark cave.

Several days later, Clover and the other female, Oak, huddled together in the cave, trying to keep their young warm. Oak had had twins, while Clover had had just one, a male, who shared her stunning blue eyes and brown coat, although his was a lot darker. "Mother..." He whimpered faintly. "It's cold, so cold..." Oak said quietly, "Secret, it's not cold! Only a little bit. Why are you shivering so much?" Just as the words escaped her lips, icy water began to flood the tiny cave, and the kids began to choke on the water filling their lungs.

Although neither mother could swim, they certainly could stay above water better then their young, and so Clover grabbed one of Oak's kids with her teeth and bounded to the outside of the cave. The herd lived on an enormous hill with many juts and holes in it, creating suitable caves. Although it was slightly out of character for them to always live above ground, the area they lived in had a lot of rain, and therefor being higher gave a lower chance of flooding. One of the males grabbed the kid Clover had, and Oak's second kid. Then Clover cried, "SECRET!" With every ounce of energy in her lean shape, she bounded back into the cave which was now almost completely filled with water. Oak was a step behind her.

Clover grabbed her son in her teeth and dragged him out of the cave, but she couldn't breathe and by the time the trio had reached higher ground, away from the flooding, Clover was barely conscious. Secret was led away, and Clover whispered dully, "Oak... take care of my son. I love you, and I love him..." Her breath caught, and then her beautiful blue eyes took in the scene around her once more before closing. Oak cried out, burying her muzzle in her friend's neck. One of the older goennecs assured Oak that Clover would be okay once she'd rested. After being reassured, Oak returned to her twins and Secret, trying to put on a face that would show them it was okay. She failed miserably, and Secret looked at her sympathetically.

He knew his mother had been close to drowning; he knew the words she'd uttered to her best friend. While he had been nearly drowning in the tiny cave, he'd had a vision of what was to come. He'd seen everything before it happened. He of course regretted that his mother had nearly died to save him; but it couldn't have happened any other way. He wasn't an ordinary goennec, and so he viewed things differently. He felt regret over the tragedy, but no true grief.

However, that night as he listed to Oak wail in her sleep, obviously dreaming that Clover had truly died, he began to feel something completely unknown to him. Anxiety. While Oak's twins cuddled up close to him, not understanding what had happened, he listed to Oak. Soon Oak woke from her troubled sleep and her eyes blinked open. Within moments she'd come over and huddled with Secret and her kids, and soon she fell asleep again, this time being too tired to dream.

Soon, the herd realized the valleys were flooding much too often. They couldn't be on ground long enough to even survive, without the fear of a sudden rainstorm occurring and drowning whoever was down below. So, the herd left one early morning, going as fast as they possibly could manage. By late evening, they were nearly out of the danger area. Oak's two little girls stayed with Secret at all times, obviously adoring him, and Oak just looked on in amusement. Clover stayed close to her son, and Secret spent every spare moment he had with her, as she was still slightly weak.

A week later, they were officially away from 'the floodlands', which is what they'd titled their former home. Secret spent a many happy months with his friends and family, completely and utterly content. Clover and Oak continued to be best friends, while Secret spent many hours playing with the twins. But, one morning he sensed that other goennecs were about. Who or why he was unsure of; all he knew, was that he wanted to find out who they were.

So, that evening he snuck off towards these strangers, and while on his way, an attractive male goennec stopped him. He had odd coloring, much like a certain breed of deer, and he said curtly, "Who are you?" Secret muttered, "I could be asking you the same thing." The other goennec looked annoyed, but from behind him came a beautiful yellow doe, with deep red eyes. Putting on an excellent show of manners, she said lightly, "My name is Dandelion. This is White Tail. We're a herd; not a large one, but we are one. Would you like me to fetch Ruby?" Without waiting for a response she was trotting off, and moments later an exquisite doe with a deep red mane and eyes came over. Her glimmering golden coat shone in the now almost non-existent light, and she spoke with determination.

"My name is Ruby. I knew there was another herd nearby; I'm glad to see one of it's members stopped by to say hello." Her eyes examined him carefully, obviously inspecting him. Secret said quickly, "I've come on my own account. No one else in my herd knows I'm here." She smiled at him for the first time since she'd made her appearance. "Are you looking for a change? We could always use a herdmate like yourself." Without even thinking Secret babbled out some sort of a yes, and a few weeks later, he was happily settled in. His former herd had moved on, with their hopes that he'd find happiness.

Which, a month later, he couldn't be farther from having. He was now a loner, with no family or friends and no one to rely on. Shortly after Ruby became pregnant, with what he knew was his kid because of his visions, he'd gotten into an enormous fight with White Tail and gotten kicked out of the herd. He felt completely empty, and he wished he had never tried to be a hero and investigate the strange herd. Now he couldn't even find his friends.

---

Secret awoke with a start to find he was back in the tiny cave three feet off the ground, and the rain had stopped. He, at that moment, decided it was worthless trying to find Oak, his mother and Oak's twin daughters. He'd find them eventually, but not now. He decided his time was better spent re-finding Ruby, and becoming acquainted with his kid. Setting off with his newfound goal, Secret knew his search would probably be quite un-useful; chances were, Ruby would turn him away. But he had to try.

Secret's Visions

Since he was young, Secret regularly had odd visions that showed him tragedies or good things that were to happen in the near future. His first was when he felt terribly cold and uncomfortable, and moments later his home completely flooded. While he was nearly drowning, he already knew his mother would nearly drown to rescue him.
For a few months the visions stopped, until one morning he knew one of Oak's girls would hurt herself, and later she bruised her paw on a sharp stone that had been hidden by grass. One of his last visions was when he knew Ruby was pregnant with his kid; after he became a loner, too many terrible things happened to him for visions to warn him about. Although his mother never mentioned it, she also got visions; however, hers were never as powerful as her son's.

He hopes when he re-finds Ruby and his kid, his visions will return.

I'm pretty sure you can quickly edit something that small, Kyunobi, since they send the links and not the actual forms. I think. Not positive though.
