Username: Hey there, me again,
Eleya. Only watched this place for the last round, but Im back for this one :3
Kennel Number: Its the cute little number
3 this time.
Species and/or Breed: Luca is a cat, a
Norwegian Forest cat to be more precise.
Use:Well, he will be part of
Vekis world. To explain my love for that dog a little, I need to tell you whom he is loosely based on, the croatian soccer player Vedran Corluka. So with this world championships, I started to also love some more croatian players. Luka Modric for example. Luca now will remind me of him. Sounds kind of crazy? Yes, it probably is. But those kinds of connection keep these characters in my heart. Half of my lion pride has a skijumper or actor as their "soulmate".
Now well, as I tried to draw Veki lots this world championships, I will also draw Luca nex european ones. Yes its two years til then, but he will be part of his story until then :3
Name: His name is
Luca, but he sometimes considers himself "Sharptooth".
Gender: Luca is
male.
Age:He is
five years old.
Personality:Luca likes to pretend he is royal. He feels his breed makes him something special and he loves to be treated that way. His human always did, so he expects other to do so too. He can be quite cold if you dont. But no worries, as soon as he gets to know you better, he warms up. If he decides to like you, he is a loyal friend, and will do everything for you.
Luca can be really stubborn at times. When he wants something he will get it, no matter what. He though tries to always want the best for everyone and tries himself as a leader. He isn't always best at it, but he tries his best. You better dont get into a discussion with him, just because… well, Lia didn't start calling him Sharptooth for no reason…
When he gets into difficult situations for the first time, he is a real coward. But as soon as he sees its not that dangerous, or he managed it once, he gains a lot of courage. Things only stay frightning if he cant to anything against it. Just like fire. A small flame, like those on the candles is okay. A bonfire is horrible already.
Lia:
"My Luca is a very sensitive cat. He is easily scared and needs lots of attention. Well, I sometimes think he is manipulating me... But he doesn't want anything bad. He just enjoys his back strokes and his milk. Who wouldn't do everything for their beloved cat."
Veki:
"He sometimes thinks he is king of the world. Seriously without me, he wouldnt have survived one day outside his safe home. Still, he is a very loyal friend, and I'm sure he would do everything for me. Just as I would do everything for him.
Luca needs some cheering words if he gets into a challanging situation. He needs to know, I stand right on his side, to show some courage. Guess I'm kind of a bodyguard?"
Ivan:
"I saw this cat doing amazing things after a small lie. He'd just need to belive in himself a little more. As soon as you tell him he did it all on his own, he feels like a king again. Guess its easy to push him a little. He'd probably make a good leader, but only if he belives in himself."
History:My life was always just me and Lia. I was her everything, the light of her days, the one and only man she’d ever need. I felt like a prince, and honestly, I enjoyed it. Isn’t that the point of a cats life? To be spoiled, or rather idolised by your staff. I didn’t even care about the small size of the apartment we lived in. It was my apartment after all.
Sure, life cant always be perfect. After four years of pure happiness, there had to be something bad coming its way. It came with Milan. After all those times she promised, Id be the only man shed ever need, she brought THIS GUY home. He pretended to be so perfect. Telling Lia Id need more space, or better be able to go outside. No thank you! I was happy just the way it was. Me being moody was caused by loneliness and being captured, not at all by this intruder in my personal paradise.
Id dint even take them half a year to move to a small house in the country. I was ought to explore the garden, maybe even the neighbourhood. I wouldn’t have put one paw out there, but you quickly loose a discussion when they just put you outside “for your own best”. “He will love it, believe me. He just needs to get used to it.”, nice sentences to calm Lia.
Suddenly the door was closed. Locked. No chance to get back into safety. My patience found its end. If Lia did no longer care for me, Id go. For ever… or just for as long as it would take her to recognise she would miss me.
The forest was quite huge and scary, but I made my decision. Humans would just betray me, so it had to be the “wild”. I tried to remember everything I knew. Food ran on four paws and had round ears, or it was flying. Since flying had never been one of my strengths, I would need to hunt for mice.
Enemies were huge and ugly. They were called dogs. Cats are way more intelligent though, and we can climb trees. Well, can it be that much harder than climbing the cat tree at home?
I can only say, yes it can. A real tree is much larger and as soon as you reach a branch, there is no soft pillow waiting for you. Its only the same hard bark than on the rest of the tree. The enemy is not always ugly and stupid as well. This one, just sat down and waited.
“Guess what, I’ve got all the time in the world, kitty.”, he said with a grin. Well, I did so too. Not talking about the fact, I had no clue how to get off that tree again…
After some time, he seemed to get bored, “Hey kitty, get off there. Its no fun at all, if you don’t run away.”
“Why should I do that?”
“Well, you are meant to. You run away, and I hunt you. It’s a game. Why don’t you cats get that?”
“Someone told me you will eat us if you catch us.”
“What? Ugh… but you have way too much fur. That’s disgusting! I would never eat you. And now get off that tree.”
He got me… I felt ready to tell him about my little problem. “I… I can’t… I don’t know how…”
“Just jump. You are a cat, you will always land on your paws.”
That’s been it… this dog knew more about my talents than I did. What on earth did I do that far away from home? Well, at least I wanted to do him a favour. I made one step to look to the ground. The dog was missing a simple fact. My lack of knowledge about my talents, lead to a lack of courage… I’d never jump down there. I’d break all my bones if I did, weather I landed on my paws or not.
“Oh no! That’s way to high!”, I mumbled right before I huddled back on the trunk, to not be able to fall down.
“Tell me, where are you from? I have never meet a cat as strange as you are.”, he shook his head in amusement. Seemed I was a clown out there… but well, this wasn’t my world at all. Still, a dog laughing at me was more than my dignity as a cat could take. I would show him how special I was.
“I am a pure breed Norwegian Forest Cat and come from one of those small houses near the forest. Lia loves me and for sure misses me a lot already, since I left home that long ago.”
“Ah, so you are a spoiled pet. How often have put your paws into the wild already?”
Sure, he had to come to this… but no! I wouldn’t let him get me down, “Well, this might be the first time I left home, but who are you to judge me?”
“When people see me, they call me a damn stray, but my name is Veki actually. I spent my whole life either in the forest or in the city on the streets. I think I know life here quite well.”
His whole damn life??? How could someone stand that? It was hell out here. I wished for my comfortable cat bed already. I would come back home, scared and shocked from this awful adventure. Lia would give me some milk, to cheer me up again. I wouldn’t drink it until she would have begged me to excuse her misbehave. Not to forget, she would have to promise Id NEVER have to go outside again. Maybe she would even send this terrible Milan away again, because he scared me so much. I would just need to stand this situation a little longer.
“Hello? This is ground control to major kitty? Are you still with us?”
I didn’t even recognise to be that far away with my thoughts. Caught in this beautiful daydream, that would hopefully become true soon. Courtesy made me also introduce myself, now that I knew his name, “Ah yes, sorry. Just thought about something. You may call me Luca.” Lia gave me that name. With an L, just like hers, because I was her everything…
“Okay Luca, so you can’t spend the rest of the day on this tree.”
“Why thank you. Guess what, I know that… Its just so high… I can’t just jump off…”
“Ill catch you. Jump on my back, its not that far, and you land softer.”
Oh gosh, I was ought to touch this thing? He had fleas for sure! And he never took a bath, and…. Yeah, and he was the only chance I had…
He stood in position already. I just closed my eyes, to gather all the courage I could find. It was not that much different than jumping from the cat’s tree into Lia’s arms. From his back it was only a small jump to the ground. Still it was way more nerve-wracking than I hoped. As I reached the ground I huddled to a ball of fear. Lia would have stroked my back now and whispered some calming words. Veki just nudged me with his nose, “You are still alive, right?”
“Yeah… but it was really close… if I ever want to climb a tree, tell me to leave it!”
“I will try, but don’t you want to go home now?”
I shook myself to get my hair back in order. No time to wash myself right now. I tried to look tall, what was a bit of a challenge with my size and put up my tail. “No, I decided to make her wait a little. I will sleep here in the forest this night.” I hoped to still look proud in a way, even though my knees were still shaking.
I didn’t… Must have been fun, since Veki started to laugh, “You would never survive.”
“Yes, I will! You’ll see!” Head held high I walked further into the forest. Just so it looked like I knew what I was doing. I could hear him shaking himself. “Whatever.”, he said, right before he started to jump around me like a crazy little pup. Somehow, I thought I was ought to run away now. Well, he helped me off that tree, so I had to play his stupid game now… I started to run.
I must admit, it’s a lot of fun. I tried to trick him, but he was always right behind me. Just until I suddenly stopped. Veki nearly crashed into me, while I was starring at something curled up right in front of me. It took the dog sometime to also get the reason for my sudden stop.
“We should wake it up.”, he decided. Ignoring me, wanting to tell him it would be a stupid idea. It was possible that this thing wanted to eat us… But well, why listen to a cat? He nudged it with his nose, like he did with me a while ago.
This thing, it somehow reminded me of a dinosaur I saw on TV once, lifted his head slowly and glimpsed tiredly. I was a ball of fear again…
This will be continued in Ivans history. Please read on there :3Extra(s):Favourite Toy: Hand sewed blue and red ball. Its filled with rice, to make some funny noise.
Favourite Meal:Luca enjoys salmon the most. Guess what, Lia had problems to find something else he would eat, after giving him some fresh salmon for the first time.
Favorite Weather:Warm and sunny, but not too hot. A soft wind blowing, but not too much, since it would only destroy his hair. No rain for sure.
A little more story:Please read Ivans history first. So, everything was over now. The portal closed right after Ivan stepped through. The adventure was over, I could go home. Well, the only problem was, my house was taken over by two other cats. Luke and Leia. With L like Lia. Farm cats. Unbrushed and full of fleas, farm cats. How could she? Did she forget about me that fast? No, there was only one to blame. Milan!
The two cats wanted to fight me, right as I came close to the garden. I simply told them, I’d leave as soon as I had the sphere. Made them do my work. They freed it and I returned to Veki and Ivan. Without even seeing Lia.
“What happened Luca?”, Veki seemed to be worried. Sure, I didn’t say a thing since Ivan left. I just stared at the spot he disappeared. Now I couldn’t stop talking. I told him everything in detail. Including the fact, that I could never return home again. He huffed grumpily before he said, “Comm on Luca, we will show them who we are!” He started walking towards the house. I couldn’t do anything else but to follow him.
Luke and Leia waited at the fence. Veki started to growl and bark at them. I had never seen him that angry. Both cats ran inside the house, but still he didn’t stop barking. Just until Lia stepped outside. I jumped at the fence, so she could see me. Lia was afraid of dogs. She would have called for Milan only, to chase Veki away. No, she needed to see me. My friend stopped barking immediately and stepped back a little.
“Luca, you are alife!”, she shouted, ran over and hugged me. I saw that Veki wanted to leave. He thought his mission was completed. I ran away from Lia, over to him. “Where do you want to go?”
“Well, you are home again. I will go my ways now.”
“You can’t just leave me. Those two cats are still in my house. Please Veki, stay!”
“She will not want to have me around.”
That was in fact a problem. Lia was nearly panicking around dogs, and Veki wasn’t considered small. Still, Lia had left her safe garden and walked over to me. “She will like you. I promise. Trust me.” I ran over to her, meowed a little, snatched some back stroking and went back to the dog then.
“He is a friend of you right?”, she got it. I meowed again. Lia came closer very slowly. “Just be friendly.”, I whispered to Veki, “and don’t move too much.”
Looked like he was amazing at flattering. Just like he never did anything else. A little tail waging here, a little hangdog look there and Lias heart melted. First, she started to pet him, then he licked her hands. Why do dogs always do that? Anyways, I reached my goal. Veki entered our house. She wanted to thank my saviour properly.
Head held high, I walked to the kitchen. Luke and Leia weren’t that happy. They attacked me right in front of Lia. And Veki. My friend was right above me and growled. It was nice to see how they ran off in fear, just to still get a lecture from Lia.
My personal highlight though was Milan arriving. He saw me, and his mood sank. Mine got even better. We hated each other from our deepest hearts. Luke and Leia tried to hide behind him, Veki and I stood at Lias side. It felt like a thunderstorm arriving. One sentence was enough to make Lia explode. “Everything was so peaceful after this cat was finally gone, and now that he is back, everything is about him again.”
I will not repeat Lias nice words here. Wouldn’t be child friendly at all. I will only tell you a few more things:
Two days later, Milan moved away with his two farm cats. Lia took Veki to the vet, and since no one missed him he got a chip and was registered as Lias dog. We always took walks in the group of three, often visiting the place we met Ivan. We haven’t seen him anymore, but we still hope to do so someday.
Lia often takes us to the vet. I’m unsure though, weather its Vekis fault for being the clumsiest creature I have ever seen, Lias fault for always talking about the vet. Well, we will see where that leads us to.
