Oh, and I have some fan art for whoever wins #1.
I like the sound of fan art. X3
Admiral must be cursed; two out of the origional six people trying for him have withdrawn. ^^
I have multiple reasons, one being that I know some of the people going for him really love him more than I. And also the first reason.
Also, Kam, when is the Siv for the rp begin?

by Ranua » Fri May 21, 2010 11:36 am
Goennec Pen #: 8
Name: Ranua (Ascension)
How would you use him/her:
-I have a character thread. Im still working on it, but I can ensure you she'll have a proper place in it. ^^
-I'm a very active member, and I plan to RP on the Goennec site, as well as maybe do some art on it!
-I plan to possible breed her with another Goennec, and perhaps start a herd of my own. But of course'. Ill have to RP out the romance, after all, you can't force someone to fall in love. ;D
Theme Song:
Three Days Grace- Gone Forever
Abnormality:
All paws.
Height:
2'2
Age:
She is 3 Years old.
Weight:
36 lbs.
Likes:
-Her favorite food is fish, which she is particularly good at catching because of her
large front paws.
-Calm, reserved males, who aren't constantly attempting to charm her.
-She loves tiger lilies.
-Quiet, peaceful places.
-Lightning and thunder storms.
-Rain, the sound of water. Waterfalls.
-Hot sun with a cool breeze.
Dislikes:
-Highly flirtatious males.
-Crow food and carrion.
-Small spaces.
Structure:
Ranua has a slightly less compact build than most of her kin.
Her body is streamlined and light, built for speed. Because of her sturdy
hind and fore paws she is able to go for long distances, though her pads still crack on occasion.
She has long and silky mane and tail fur, which is luscious and vibrant.
She is well proportioned, and athletic, having a firm yet not bulky bone structure.
Her neck is usually arched (though hung low) which helps her have better mobility.
Her body is powerfully muscles but not fleshy and her chest is deep and powerful, ensuring plenty
of room for her lungs, enabling her to run long distances.
Kin:
Ranua has lost all of her kin (or so she says), and she refuses to speak about how they disappeared to others.
In fact, she is slightly fearful at the mention of them.
Personality:
This feisty female is headstrong and reckless. Shut tight in her ways
once she sets her mind on something it's all most impossible to convince her to do other wise.
She loves to lead and govern others, which often gets her into quarrels with her authority. Being the strong and bold fae she is she won't hesitate to state her opinion, no matter who she's contradicting. Never the less she isn't entirely rebellious. Like all Goennecs she feels the need to serve her herd and serve it well, and so she shares a sense of respect with her superiors.
She usually follows orders well, and hates to see things done the wrong way. Especially if specific and concise orders were given on how to carry out a particular assignment.
You may think that some happy go lucky character may try to get the best of Ranua by purposely doing a sloppy job.
But Ranua is stern and often hostile, and when confronted is a formidable opponent.
Thus, the younger class of her aggregation tend to avoid the erratic fecund, and even make an effort to do a better job when she is around.
Despite her hot headed disposition Ranua can be a very placid individual.
When one of her friends is feeling lonely or distressed, Ranua is the first to administer her alleviation for her companion.
She hates gossip, and refuses to take part in such putrid converse unless she actually hates someone, but she is willing to empathize with someone if they're having trouble with another herd member.
She is strangely more collected around females, while she is more robust and seemingly anxious around males.
She hates people who show off too much, or are quick to impress, assuming immediately by their strutty nature that they are snobbish furballs who would be fun to pound into the ground.
If one would dare insult one of her allies they'd find themselves with a nasty scar to say the least.
However, underneath Ranua's rugged personality lies a sensitive soul who is slowly dying, bringing herself down with the pains and gory wounds of her past which have tore at her heart, unraveling her new crude nature.
Also, Ranua strangely doesn't really seem to bond too well with males.
She tends to elude them as much as she can, and when she's in their presence she avoids talking.
If a highly flirtatious male were to try to seek a romantic partner in this young filly, they may just get a torn ear.
One of Ranua's pet peeves are highly flirtatious males, which somehow
seems to make her more alluring to them.
History:
Ranua was found scavenging along the borders of herd territory as a juvenile.
No one would have guessed the sickly kid would have grown to be the powerful and feared
Goennec Ranua is today.
At first, no one dared approach the hostile yearling, but one brave female, named Alari left food by the edge of the woods every day. She would wait in the bushes for Ranua to come get the food, moving each day a few inches closer to the food as she waited. Finally, the day came where Alari stood directly beside the meal. Ranua approached the food cautiously, her ears flattened. As she ate, she kept her eyes locked on Alari's, as if she expected the female to advance at any moment. But Alari stood rather boredly beside the adolescent, her eyes calm and serene.
After that, Ranua's progress changed drastically. Within days she was making pacific eye contact with the female. And she showed no signs of hostility towards Alari, in fact, by this point she looked at the elderly Goennec as a mentor,
though she never spoke to her.
Eventually Alari asked Ranua if she wanted to join Mountain herd. Ranua rejected the idea at first, and even showed some vague signs of hostility, but after a few days she gave into the idea and was brought into the herd by Alari.
Poor Ranua was rejected by the other females, and often had to battle them to keep her status up. Over time she earned their respects but unfortunately, not all of them were willing to forget her origins, not to mention the fact she had four paws. A rare and unusual trait among her noble breed.
The males on the other hand were welcoming to the intriguing new herd member. They admired her bold complexion and bewitching markings, and were eager to impress the female with elaborate displays of strength and intelligence.
Some even hunted for her, bringing her tokens of their appreciation by moonlight, hoping to woo her. But unfortunately for the poor fellows, if there's one thing Ranua hates, it's carrion and desperate suitors, and so, each male was harshly rejected.
Only a few weeks before her second birthday Alari was found by the edge of camp dead. She
had fought bravely to defend the nursery from a caracal, but had been overpowered by the massive feline
and had been fatally wounded in the brawl.
Ranua mourned deeply for her lost comrade, and was elected to be the one to lead the burial ceremony.
After Alari's burial she never mentioned her lost counselor.
Who had been the closest to kin she had ever experienced in the herd.
As she developed she found herself drifting farther and farther away from herd life. Many of her friends often caught her sitting by the edge of camp, her eyes staring dreamily to the south. What she would want to do in the south is a mystery that is yet to be discovered, perhaps it has something to do with her twisted past...
With time came experience, and as a result, Ranua grew to be a deadly warrior in combat.
Feared and respected for her unusually long claws and quick reflexes, it wasn't long before Ranua was attempting to canter closer to the front of the brood.
She had a blazing ambition to become the herd leader, or at least some one of importance. And quite frankly she never quite lost that ambition as she grew.
Though of course' she'd never try to take the position by force. Alari had raised her to not only be a
daunting adversary, but an honorable and loyal warrior.

Part One of Unforgiving Past~
((Ranua is 3 Months at this point ))
I bounded happily beside my mother and father, my tail flicking as my sister paced behind me.
Who was trotting along side my brother. "Ranua wait up!" Raphael called eagerly, panting hard as he began to canter.
"No way slow poke!" I giggled, my eyes fluttering as a butterfly wafted above my head. I halted, pawing at it playfully.
I was about to grab it when Raphael barreled into me with an audible yelp of surprise.
I tumbled backward, my eyes wide with astonishment.
Coughing, I blinked my eyes warily open, growling when I felt my brothers weight along my back.
“Hey get off of me!” I bristled, tossing his limp body off of me as I got to my paws.
I shook my pelt and snorted, lashing my tail as I glared at him. He faced the opposite side, and so I couldn’t see his face as I approached him.
“Well what do you have to say?” I quipped, turning his body over so I could look at him, I pinned him down, snarling. My eyes flung ample when I saw the pup who had toppled me over wasn’t awake, he wasn’t even my brother! I blushed hard as he began to stir awake, his eyes wide with surprise when he spotted me standing over him. I was about say sorry and step away but then he smiled and said,
“Wow. Your so pretty…you must be a princess. Of course’ this could only be a dream, but I hope I don’t wake up.” The pup thought aloud.
Growling my face turned red. I got off of him and kicked him in the haunches, growling quietly.
He chuckled, grunting as he got up. “Who are you?” he asked lifting a brow as he shook his pelt.
I heard some mumbling in the bushes beside me, as well as some rustling, but I ignored it, my eyes narrowed at the strange male. “I could ask you the same thing.”
I said sourly.
“You could.” He shrugged calmly. “But you didn’t did you?” he smiled.
Iopened her mouth to shoot a crude retort but I was interrupted when the voices in the bushes beside me suddenly boomed.
“Ranua, can you flirt later and help me out of this bush now?” said my brother impatiently, wincing as he tried to free himself from the grip of the pesky thorns.
I blushed furiously, the male chuckling at my brother’s commentary. Clenching my teeth I flattened my ears and lumbered over to my brother, slashing the leaves and branches away with my powerful claws to free him.
Having tripped over a vine he fell forward, face flat onto the dust once he was free. “Thanks Ranu-” he said fumbling to his feet.
“Your welcome.” I snorted, ignoring my brother as I padded past the male. I purposely avoided eye contact, completely ignoring him and his cocky smile.
Suddenly my parents came into the clearing, their ears pricked as my twin sister Ranellu followed behind them, just as eager as them to scope out the ruckus.
My parents glanced around wildly, my fathers ears flattened. “I heard someone talking to you!” he growled. “Where is he?” he asked snarling.
I twitched my ears and lifted a brow, glancing around. My ears pricked when I saw the strange male was gone. My tail flicking impatiently I turned back to father.
“Ya but he left.” I said.
My mother sighed in relief, while my father snorted as if in disapproval.
I stared at the earth beneath me, contemplating about the strange encounter.
My brother watched me intently (not that I noticed at the time) as if slightly suspicious, while my sister bubbled beside me with curiosity as she scented the bushes and reeds for any clues.
“Come on guys.’ My father said gruffly. “We’d better start moving again. We need to reach the herd lands by tomorrow. We can’t survive on our own, and I heard
Black Mountain Herd is looking for families. Their numbers have been low lately, and they
want to increase their birth rates.” said my father gruffly.
My mother nodded enthusiastically, "Let's go then!" she said picking me up by the scruff.
"Maaa! Im like half your size! I can walk by myself!" I growled flailing my paws.
My mother didn't respond, she simply kept walking, ignoring me as my paws churned in the air.

I yawned and stretched, flexing my claws as my muscles rippled under my sleek pelt.
We were only a few miles from the herd territory, or so my father said. And I wanted to get their early.
