I'm afraid that I have yet to ask another question.
My form has exceeded the character limit. (Erm. ^^; Unfortunately the introduction has really gotten out of hand, but I would hate to cut out parts of it or summarize parts - and it would most likely disrupt the logic behind it, I fear.)Would it be possible to post it in two parts?

February 19th
10:40pm. "Okay, son, it's time for bed now." The man reached over for the nightstand, grabbing the lamps pull string.
"No daddy! One more game, please!" The little boy whined. His father stopped, leaned back and adjusted himself on the edge of his sons bed.
"Okay, how about I Spy this time?"
The boy nodded eagerly.
"You start!" he commanded and closed his eyes. The father looked around until he spied something then he tapped his son.
"Alright. I spy something red." The boy opened his eyes and looked around his room, scooting up in his bed to get an easier view.
"Is it Oscar?" The father looked over to the boys dresser where a fishbowl sat on top, containing a reddish colored fish.
"Nope." His father said, shaking his head. "Try again." They both were quiet for a second until the boy said, "Did you spy that bloody hand print on the wall?" His father jerked his head back to were he was pointing but saw nothing.
"What blood?" His father was alarmed. The boy shook his head slowly.
"I guess it's gone." He murmured while looking over at his toys.
"It's gotta be my stuffed t-rex!" The boys dad smiled and nodded.
"You're right! Good job. My turn now, but then you gotta go to bed." He nodded and his father closed his eyes. After a short moment, the boy said, "I spy something with an S." His dad opened his eyes and looked over to the boys closet.
"Is it your skateboard?" The boy shook his head no.
"Is it your sticker book?" Again, he said no. After a few more guesses, his father threw his arms up in mock exasperation.
"I give up! What is it?" The boy smiled triumphantly at his father.
"It's the spider!" He laughed and his father looked around the top of the walls curiously.
"What spider?"
"That big one that was in the corner. It was weird looking, the eyes glowed. But he's gone now."
His father stared ahead then stood. "If you see it again, I'll come kill it for you. But it's time for bed now, goodnight." He reached down and kissed his son on the forehead.
"Goodnight daddy. But don't kill the spider..." He murmured and sunk down in his bed, heavy eyed and yawning. The man turned the light off, cracked the door, and left the room.
February 20th
3:04am. A scream echoes through the hallways. The parents awaken and run to the source: their sons room. The door is locked.
3:05am. Scream still continuing, gurgled, muffled. The parents desperately try to shake the door loose with no luck. The father rams his shoulder over and over to knock it down.
3:06am. The screaming stops. The man rears back to tackle the door again, but it creaks open instead.
3:10am. Police arrive.
8:11am. "Victim is 7 year old Lucas Holden. Parents heard him screaming and found the door locked. When it opened after the screaming stopped, they found this. No murder weapon identified."
The scene was brutal. Lucas Holden lay in his bed, blankets pulled completely off and were piled on the floor, soaked with blood. His head was twisted to the side in an awkward, painful way. One arm was off the bed and the other lay beside him, both palms up, both mangled.
His eyes were wide, his mouth open slightly in his silent scream. The walls were splattered with blood, sprayed above the bed, on each opposite wall, and on the ceiling and the fan.
"The poor kid..." A woman murmured. A detective. She had dark brown hair and grayish-blue eyes. She looked to her partner who scribbled on a notepad. All around them people were marking the crime scene and taking evidence. She walked over to the left side of the bed, looking at the boys face.
"What are you thinking, Maddie?" Her African-American partner questioned and walked over, bending his head slightly to look at her expression. She knelt down to the boys bedside and looked at his face, snapping her gloves on.
"I'm thinking," she said, "that his right eye is missing. Charlie, look at this." She motioned for her partner, who got a closer look at Lucas's face.
"My God..." Charlie breathed as Maddie turned boys face gently by his chin. "What could have done that?" Maddie stood rather quickly and turned to the doorway, walking around the blood.
"I have no idea, but we're gonna find out. Let's talk to the parents."
The two of them walked down the stairs and into the Holden family living room. Pictures of Lucas and an older girl sat upon the fireplace. More pictures of Lucas and his parents, Lucas and himself, and Lucas and a dog sat next to them. His face was bright and happy, his smile wide.
A woman sitting on the couch followed Maddie's gaze. She was holding a wallet-sized picture tightly. Her eyes were red, her face stained with tears. She looked quickly away from the pictures and back to the detective. Maddie shook her head to clear her thoughts.
"Uh...Mr. and Mrs. Holden, I'm Detective Madeline Montero. This is Detective Charles Davenport. We're here to ask you a few questions about your son." She said as they both sat down on the couch across from them. A coffee table separated them, a cup of tea on a coaster, still steaming.
"Who would do this to a child? Such a horrible thing to a 7 year old boy?" The mother whispered.
"We're very sorry for your loss, we're going to do everything that we can to find out and put them away." Charlie said, leaning forward. The mother cried into her husbands shoulder while he wrapped his arm around her, patting her lightly.
"What time did Lucas go to bed?" Maddie asked.
"About 10:54pm. He was supposed to be in bed at 10:30, but he wanted to stay up..wanted to play another game." Mr. Holden's voice was hoarse as he recalled his sons last night.
"Would anyone have wanted to hurt him?"
"No!" Mrs. Holden's head shot up. She dabbed her eyes with a tissue. "Nobody would have wanted to hurt Lucas. He was a good kid, he played soccer, he got good grades, he had lots of friends..." She paused and looked down.
"He was so good at science. He wanted to be a scientist. He loved animals too, he thought about being a vet."
"May we...continue this later? We have to go call our daughter." Mr. Holden asked the detectives as his wife collapsed again into his arms, sobbing.
"We'll be back." Charles nodded and they both stood, leaving the room.
10:38am. Madeline Montero's heels clicked against the sidewalk as she almost passed her first stop.In her hand was a coffee from the local coffee shop, keeping her hand warm in the February cold. Only a few hours after the gruesome discovery of the Holden boy and they were doing the autopsy now. She has always hated the morgue, but it was necessary for her to be there. Charles was already inside, standing beside the medical examiner. She was a short, slightly chubby woman with shoulder length black hair. They both looked when she arrived.
"Great, you're here. You'll never believe this, come look what Becca found." Charlie jerked his head and she walked over. Lucas was covered up but once she got closer, Rebecca Hart pulled the white sheet back. Maddie gasped softly.
"His eye was gone, but so was his tongue. It's weird though...the eye wasn't pried out with any tool. It was scooped out very delicately and cleanly. The tongue wasn't so lucky, but i found what looked like pincher marks on each side at the base of where hi tongue was. And I found this inside his throat."
Rebecca held up a bag with a very light item inside. Maddie peered closely.
"What is it?"
"A spider web. Weird, right? It was placed perfectly in his throat, like a spider had spun it recently."
Maddie stared at the perfect spider web in the plastic evidence bag.
"Do you know what it was that killed him yet?"
"No, not the weapon. It's too unclear. It just looks like he had been eaten. I mean, his arms and legs are so mangled, so...gone." Rebecca shook her head.
"It all happened in three minutes too. That's so odd. Why would a person do that?" Charlie shook his head.
"Disgusting." Maddie murmured. She turned back towards the door and tossed her lukewarm coffee into the trash.
"I'll call if I find anything else out, you guys." Rebecca said as Madeline placed her hand on the door knob. She looked back at the medical examiner, Rebecca, one of her oldest friends. Maddie nodded.
"Thanks Becca."
10:40pm. "I'll see you tomorrow, Maddie. Oh, and Happy Birthday."
Maddie smiled. She had almost forgotten her birthday was tomorrow. Gosh, how old was she going to be? 26, that's right. She felt so old already.
"Thank you, Charlie. See you tomorrow." She slammed her cell phone shut and sunk a little lower into the her bathtub. The warm water and bubbles always made her feel much better after a long day. Still though, she couldn't seem to shake loose the image of the poor Holden boy's body. She couldn't imagine what caused this boy to be the victim at all. Shutting her eyes, she placed her earphones in her ears and sighed, content. She hadn't even noticed her window in her room open, the curtains flying in the breeze. She didn't notice. that is, until the cold breeze. She opened her eyes and sat up
"Hello?" She called. Her room was dark and all she could see was the faint moonlight shining through. A figure moved a bit and it wasn't until she had spoke that it looked at her, glowing red eyes. She blinked, nervous, but didn't know if she should scream. The thing came closer to the door of the bathroom were it was dimly lit and she could see what it was. A tracker dog, a strange one though. Eight legs, two tails, and pinchers. It sat down and cocked its head at her.
"Hey there." Maddie said softly, leaning a hand over. "Come here." But the tracker just sat there, the red glow made her skin prickle. She started to stand to get out when the tracker jumped up abruptly, growled and backed away. She stopped for a moment then lifted a leg out of the tub. The tracker growled louder then leaped away from the doorway and jumped out of the window. It slammed closed after it was gone and everything went quite again.
Odd...She thought. Trackers normally had owners.
February 21st
8:29am "Good morning, Madeline." Charlie smiled at his partner, holding out a coffee to her, still steaming. On the cup was written, in black sharpie HAPPY BIRTHDAY in Charlie's neat print handwriting.
"Three sugars?" Maddie smiled and winked at him. He was her best friend and knew exactly how she liked her coffee. Charlie smiled and nodded, chuckling softly.
"Anything on the Holden boys death?" Maddie asked, sipping her coffee.
"Becca did call, but she sounded like she wanted both of us to hear it." Maddie nodded, a twinge of something picked at her skin. Was it morbid that she was excited? She didn't voice this excitement to Charlie in that fear.
"Great, let's go. Actually," She paused, looking at her warm coffee. ", let's wait until we finish these." Charlie laughed and held his cup out for her.
"Deal." He said and they knocked their cups together.
9:00am "Took you long enough." Becca said in mock anger, but smiled at the pair. "Oh, happy birthday Maddie."
Madeline smiled and nodded.
"Thanks, so what did you find out?" Becca's eyes brightened a little bit as she remembered her discovery.
"I don't think it was a person that killed him." Charlie and Maddie exchanged a glance.
"What could it have been then?"
"An animal. And not just any animal, but I'm not sure what yet." Maddie narrowed her eyes at Rebecca.
"An animal?"
"There is no way it could be a human. There are claw marks, fang marks...and the weirder thing, their are only two claw marks."
"Hmm?" Maddie was confused.
"Whatever the animal, it only had two claws instead of four, like a dog would, or something."
"So an animal killed him. Must have been a very smart little thing..." Maddie elbowed Charlie lightly who doubled over, faking that it hurt but he smiled at her evilly.

Demotivated_bear wrote:All About YouName:Demotivated_bearTracker dog wanted:Seventy-six, 76Why this one?:How do I explain what's going through my head right now as I look at his picture? The first thing that caught my attention with him would be those adorable ears. I love the way they curve backwards into that little swirl, almost like the vines around a pumpkin patch. I love the goofy, playful expression on his face and the way his tail curls over his back. The contrast of his colors also draws my eyes to him and makes me long to have him.
His looks aren't the only reason I want him, however. His personality makes him even cuter in my mind. He's hyper and playful, and the fact that he enjoys scaring people amuses me to no end. I can already feel him as a character, as a partner of sorts. I can already sense his personality, more expanded than the little tidbit we're supplied with. What makes him tick, so to speak. I can't wait to put his story down where others can see it.
The main reason I want him is a combination of all of the things I listed beforehand. You see, he reminds me of my dog, Jake. His goofy, almost derpy expression, the way his tail is held, and most of all his personality. When I scrolled down to see the new trackers, it was like a picture of Jake was sitting on the page, calling out to me. It makes me long to have this guy, and it makes me absolutely adore him already. What will you do with him?:A little bit of everything. Roleplay, write stories, and especially draw him. He's too adorable to ignore, or be left to rot on my character thread.Creature Feature!Identity and Physical CharacteristicsGiven Name:Tracker 76.Chosen Name:JarrahdaleWhy?:Jarrahdale is a type of hard-to-find pumpkin that is a slate green color on the outside. I felt like it fit.Fur:Jarrahdale's fur is a deep leafy green in color on most of his body. It is thick and soft, providing him with excellent protection against the elements when he is outdoors. His face is bright orange, like a pumpkin, and the fur emits a soft glow that makes it hard for him to easily hide himself. His tail ends in a frond, like a leaf and carries the same texture as one.Measurements:Jarrahdale stands at 28 inches at the shoulder, a little over two feet tall. He is around three feet from the tip of his muzzle to the tip of his leaf-like tail.Weight:The weight of this energetic tracker is unknown, as he will not stay put long enough for his vet to weigh him.Emotional DetailsTrademark Traits:Active

QuickPersonality:
One word cannot be used to sum up this tracker, however hyper comes rather close. This endearing male is almost always in motion in some way or another, usually finding ways to annoy those around him. When he's not in motion, Jarrahdale can be found sleeping somewhere to build up more energy. The best way to handle this hyperactivity is to give him an acceptable outlet for all of this energy. This can be a long run twice a day, or a treadmill.
Jarrahdale is an alert, affectionate and curious companion. He is very cheerful and is devoted to his partner, almost to a fault. He is very spirited and obedient, but absolutely fearless, something that his partner must work to control everyday. Despite this, he adores human companionship, as long as he is very familiar with the person. With strangers Jarrahdale is reserved and quiet, and many times, shy. It takes him a long time to trust, however once he does trust someone he would give his life to save theirs as they become part of his pack. He is incredibly protective of members of this ‘pack’, so rough play around him is definitely not encouraged.
With his partner, Marsh, Jarrahdale is the perfect dog. He is perfectly obedient and loving and friendly, mainly because he absolutely adores the man. In Jarrahdale’s eyes, Marsh can do no wrong. He is perfect in every way, and his word is law. He hates disappointing him, and will often make himself look pitiful when he is being reprimanded for doing something wrong. However, when he is praised, Jarrahdale is one of the happiest dogs most have ever seen. He is the most protective of Marsh, often coming to the point of snapping at those who get too close. However, he will relax with one command from ‘his person.’
Jarrahdale is incredibly intelligent, a fact that tends to get him into trouble on occasion. If he is given an inch, he will do his best to take a mile, becoming very willful and demanding. Because of this, Jarrahdale functions best when he has clear rules to follow, and limitations on what he is and is not permitted to do. His intelligence also leads to issues when he is bored, as he will find ways to amuse himself. This is usually by scaring people to the point that they do not want to return, which means he is usually given some type of toy to amuse himself with.
Because of his intelligence, Jarrahdale knows he isn’t like other dogs. He knows his markings are different, and that most dogs do not glow. Because of this, he is a bit vain, and he takes pride in keeping himself clean. When he is around other canines, Jarrahdale carries his head higher than normal and seems to prance around them, showing off his bright colors and glowing orange face. He loves hearing the praises from the owners of other dogs at the dog park, and has gotten quite good at ignoring the negative comments.
Also because of his intelligence, Jarrahdale is easier bored by things that would be sufficient to amuse another dog. Normal toys will bore him in a matter of minutes, including Kong toys. Because of this, he should be given puzzle type toys, or other toys to work his mind in one way or another.
Despite his vanity, Jarrahdale is still a sweet dog, although he should not be left alone with non-canine animals. His prey drive is extremely high, and he will not hesitate to kill a small animal if he can catch it. This sometimes includes smaller dogs, so it is best to keep him leashed around them. Because of his high prey drive, Jarrahdale will get distracted by small creatures running around. Actually, he is easily distracted to begin with. It takes a lot of time to teach him to do a simple command because the slightest thing will distract him, such as a running leaf.
Jarrahdale's absolute favorite thing to do is visit a pumpkin patch, any pumpkin patch. He loves the large, round gourds and will do just about anything to be able to see them, play with them and eat them. He loves the scent and taste of pumpkins, which means he does have a tendency of tearing them open to get at the flesh inside, no matter where they are or if Marsh paid for them or not. He also gets a bit snappy over pumpkins, often lunging at even Marsh if he gets too close. His second most favorite thing to do is hide among the larger pumpkins, staying absolutely still. He knows his face resembles a pumpkin, and he will remain motionless until the last second when someone reaches for him. At that moment, he will move or bark, usually sending the person flying back in a state of panic, which absolutely amuses him.
Care:Dental:Jarrahdale's teeth should be brushed once daily with a soft bristled brush and dog toothpaste. Great care should be taken during this process as he does not enjoy having hands in his mouth.Coat:Jarrahdale's coat is very easy to care for, as he takes care of it himself. He requires a weekly brushing with a shedding comb to remove lose hair and dirt, followed by a brisk brushing with a soft bristled brush to bring out the shine in his coat. He should not be bathed too often, as his skin has a tendency to dry out from the shampoo. When he is bathed, an oatmeal based formula should be used.Vet Care:Jarrahdale should be checked by a vet every two weeks during times of daily training, just to be sure his body is still holding up to the stress. During times of rest, his schedule will be like a normal canines, or at the discretion of the veterinarian.A Day in The Life:Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
-Robert Frost
The excitement in the air was tangible as families filed in and out of the large pumpkin patch. Good-natured ribbing and laughter filled the chilly air, making the general atmosphere a happy one. Hidden among the many pumpkins lay an odd looking dog-like creature. His face looked like a goofy Jack-o-Lantern with a leafy frond at the top and it had a slight glow to it, a glow that was constantly fluctuating in intensity. The excitement coursing through him was heady, and anticipation filled him. He'd finally get to scare some more people this year! His leafy tail wagged furiously for a few seconds before becoming perfectly motionless once more. Suddenly his ears perked up and he stared intently down the path. Were those....footsteps? In one smooth motion, the tracker let his head hit the ground and he dimmed his glow to the point it was non-existant. His dark green body blended into the ground, leaving him there looking like a pre-carved pumpkin. This was all part of the plan.
It was hard to stay still, but somehow the hyper dog managed it as a tall man dressed in black reached for his head. The second before contact was made, Jarrahdale, the tracker, came to life in a flurry of motion, the glow of his face increasing to its max. The man let out a screech and stumbled backwards, his booted foot crashing into a pumpkin and breaking it open as he turned and ran. Jarrahdale's tail wagged furiously as he settled in and began to eat the crushed pumpkin. It wasn't that he was a mean spirit. This method was simply easier than most to get at the flesh of his favorite treat: pumpkin!
His heart pounded a million miles an hour, but the fear didn't stop him as he crept back to the spot he'd just run from. Curiosity was always stronger than fear for the adventurer, and he very much wanted to know what the thing that had chased him away had been. Once he got close enough to see the orange glow emitting from the tracker, he dropped down and army crawled through the pumpkins and vines until he was close enough to see the creature that had given him a near heart attack. He had to fight laughter as he saw it, covered in pumpkin flesh with juice dripping from its chin. Its leafy tail wagged wildly as it ate, and the watching man couldn't help but think that this had been the goal all along. Within moments, the pumpkin was gone and the odd colored canine was standing half hidden in the pumpkins again, seemingly waiting for something. Suddenly it perked its ears and turned to look in the direction where the observer was laying, so he decided to stand up. Putting his hands on his hips, he playfully glared at the dog. "It's not nice to scare people."
Surprise flooded the oddly colored tracker dog as he studied the human staring at him. Why wasn't he running and screaming like they always did? He let one ear twitch as his mind raced. "It's not nice to scare people." Not nice? It wasn't nice, but it was fun and it got him pumpkins. In response, he lifted a shoulder and let it drop in a canine shrug. Oh well if he scared people. This person was lucky he hadn't been chased. After studying the man for a few more seconds, the tracker turned away and trotted deeper into the patch. Standing still wasn't on his agenda, no sir. It never was, as there was way too much energy coursing through the canine's body. Too....much....energy. His muscles felt like they were filled with crawling bugs, making him restless and many would say hyper. With a soft snort, he kept walking in large, almost lazy circles around the south end of the pumpkin patch. Suddenly more voices filled the air and the tracker froze, one paw held motionless in the air. His ears tilted forward and excitement flooded through him. Maybe he could scare them into running, so he could chase them! His tail began to wag for a few seconds before he hid himself once more.WIP
Congratulations, Bear~!
Two forms that my heart was torn between, but this one had more...in it, the personality and story was a lot longer in this one and looked as if it took more time. Don't be discouraged from not getting him (I'm sure you know that I'm talking to you) and learn from the winning form to see if you could use it for when you next apply. c:
