Tracker Dog Application Series 2

Tracker Dog you want: Tracker Dog #4
Name you'll give it: Sando Areno (Japanese for Sand Desert)
Reason why you want it: I like having a good mixute of creatures to draw and RP at my own will, and having a Tracker Dog as one of my characters would add some uniqueness to what I can do. Tracker dogs are like no other animal I have been able to find on here, having a lot of characteristicts of a normal dog, while still being completely different. I think that having a Tracker dog of any kind would be a very unique experience.

Will it be used in any kind of story?: I might use it in one of my books that I write, but I have yet to decide on if I would start writing it, and I wanted to try getting a Tracker dog before starting a story with them in it, and would have to get your permission before even getting the idea down because of them being your creation.
Describe its personality: Being used for tracking in the sand, colorations are only the basics. Having a thicker coat then others, he would have to keep himself in the shade to keep himself cool, and would have to be careful while tracking; being quiet to save energy, staying in the shadows to stay cool, and staying out of everyone's way. Although quiet, Sando Areno has a quick temper, but will usually try keeping it under wraps, having a hot head would do more harm then it would good.

Write an introduction for your Tracker: Cream ears flattened against Sando Areno's body, kept down by the small crate holding him in. All he had remembered before now was hiding in a barn, in a stall left empty by the farmer. He had kept down the population of rats better then his cat had been doing, and was letting him stay around; but something had gone wrong. A girl had come in and had easily spotted the sandy canine lying on an alfalfa pile, and had ran out as fast as she had entered. Still not knowing his way around, Sando tried escaping, but was unable to get through the barn opening, which was now guarded by men with guns and nets.

He had been shot by something, and had fallen asleep, when he awoke, he found himself in this... box. A low humming had been around him in his dreams, and now that he was awake, he knew that it wasn't just from the dream. Placing his front paws on the wall, he tried finding a way out, and soon realized that his efforts where useless. A sudden lurch stopped the humming, and Sando could now tell that he had been moving, but no longer was. Whatever that humming was, it meant that he was moving.

Hearing something walking towards the crate, he turned around to face the sound, walking around in plenty of circles. When he realized that they where coming from all around him, he decided to just lie down in the center. A cracking sound caught his attention, and warmth soon followed it. Head lifted, he took in the warm air, something that was lacking while in the wooden box. Freedom was cut short, as a rope was put around the male's neck, pulling him out of the hay bed on the back of the truck. Standing up, he found that the roof was gone, and that warmth was all around him now. Pressure on the back of his neck caused him to step forward, now finding slippery metal under his paws. Claws tapping on the back of the truck, he was led to the end and lifted off, being dropped down onto hot sand. Flexing his claws, he took a few testing steps. Happy with it, he lowered his head to the ground under him, pushing his nose through the small rocks, warmth enveloping his body as he did so.

"He got some good complexion and it in him to search." It was an older man who was speaking, one of the ones who had caught him and brought Sando to this new place. As Sando tried to continue searching, a tug from his neck caused him to fall back, his blue tongue hanging out as he walked back to the truck, lying down under it.

"You sure he'll be good here? He's already too hot to stay out."

With a look down to the Tracker, the man holding the rope gave a laugh. "He hot 'cuz he new. He get used to hot soon." With just a slight turn of the head Sando Areno was able to follow the conversation, able to pick out certain words he could remember from the farm.

Footsteps could be heard as the man with good English came over to the dog, taking off his glove to put his hand on the tracker's head. "We'll take him, hand over the rope." The man looked up at the other, sternly, with his hand out for the rope. With a grunt, the man handed it over, turning to get back into the air conditioned truck. Picking up the tan dog, the man walked away from the middle of the camp, and entered his tent, setting Sando Areno down inside of it. Carefully and gently, he slipped the tight rope off Sando's neck, running his hand down the length of his body. "You'll be a good boy, Sando Areno. A very good boy." He glanced behind him, watching the man leave in the truck. "He can't hurt you anymore."

Tracker Dog you want:
Tracker Dog #4 - 'Wild' Normal
Name you'll give it:
Fallout
Reason why you want it:
Never in my two years of being on ChickenSmoothie have I ever found a breed of adoptables as interesting as these trackers dogs. <3 I want it because I've been watching and waiting to get my hands on the perfect one; my very first adoptable. Specifically for this Tracker Dog, I want it because of the terrain it fits in, and its colouring. I have quite a few ideas of how to place it some writing of mine because of the desert element.

I'm really quite fond of the 'wild' normal Tracker Dog lines so I'm very excited something like this is in the batch~
Also, I suppose the reason I'd like it most is because it's motivation to finish and draw up more of my own character, so they may interact with this dog. In my endless amount of writing, of course. <3
Will it be used in any kind of story?
This is a definite yes. I already have plenty of ideas running around in my head, and a few characters of my own that would fit perfectly with this Tracker Dog. I'm thinking borders wars and skirmishes, unnatural weapther patterns due to unique weaponry, endless dunes and underground caverns. I want to write already.
Describe its personality:
Fallout has quite the serious disposition, and has a very protective attitude. While working, this Tracker Dog will rarely leave the side of his human partner, or master, and obeys a very strict set of commands. Of course, going after those lost in the desert will be the only cause for him to leave and while doing so Fallout has a tunnel-like mindset. There is almost nothing that will make this Tracker stray from a set path, unless he is dealing with multiple rescues in one go. His sense of justice is skewed, as he relies heavily on commands and works by a list of importance, saving those who seem to be in a more dire situation. More times than once Fallout has chosen to rescue someone against their word, because in that moment, they seemed to need it more. It has resulted in the death of another, but Fallout can't feel responsible when he saved the one he felt was more important.

Outside of work, Fallout finds it hard to relax. He lives in the desert and the common storms catch his attention so easily and, to him, there is always someone to be helped. Though, he has a soft spot for exploration and when off duty loves nothing more than racing across the wind swept deserts.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
"A dog? A dog with no eyes?"
The other end of the line was silent, only a soft sigh was heard.
"And it's supposed to help me with my job? You do know that having above average eye sight is in the job requirements, right?"
Again there was nothing, for a while. Finally a small chuckle sounded from the other end of the telephone call.
"It can see, Nixon. Just trust me and come outside."
With an exaggerated moan, Nixon hung up the phone with his thumb, still holding the old black reciever in his hand. More than once this company of his has sent him equipment to help him do his job. Every time it only got in the way, but never once had they sent him a live animal. Much less one that had no eyes. Placing a hand over his face, the boy put the phone and and snaked his way through his maze of a living area. Piles and piles of boxes cut off every convinient pathway to his large window, but eventually he made it. He managed with a few stubbed toes, but he managed none the less. With slim fingers he peeled apart his blinds, peering outside to the man who stood in his doorway. With a wave and a smile that man acknowledged him; he'd expected one such snoop.

There wasn't much that could make the man go away, either he went outside now or dealt with him picking his way though the locks on his door when the sun was out. With a troubled frown, Nixon unglued himself from the window and slipped to the front door, preparing himself with a loud exhale for whatever beast jumped out of that van. Wasting no more time, the boy pulled open the door, walking in a lazy mannor towards his unwanted visitor. "Okay, where is it so I can hurry and send it away?" The man only laughed and uttered a small 'here'. On command the creature Nixon was waiting for leaped from the open back of the van, and stood tall beside the vehicle. The first, and only thought that entered Nixon's mind at that moment was that was not a dog.

"What the hell is that?" Nixon asked, wonder in his voice as he stared back at the bold looking thing. As he spoke, a long reptile looking tongue slid from the animals jaws, bright blue, matching another one of its...wonderful features.

"This is Fallout. Our newest member." Than man across from his moved his hand to hover over Fallout's body, showing him off. Nixon, now looking quite fascinated with the creature stepped closer, crouching down to its...er...nose level. It wasn't a far lean, Fallout was quite the tall dog. If that's what it really was. "Pretty, ain't he?" The man continued. And he's yours, too. Just watch he doesn't do a better job than ya." Nixon would have frowned, had he not been so distracted with the looks of the animal. He sure looked like he could cover a lot of distance with those legs and huge feet.

"So. You're Fallout, hm?" The Tracker lifted its tongue, tasting the air around the boy in front if him. With a cough Nixon stood straight again, folding his arms across hi chest. "He's neat, I guess."

"Neat? This thing's bred to do your job. It can stand the heat better than you, it can run faster than you. Heck, it can probably see better than you." The man laughed at himself, and at the boy's sudden put-out expression. "No worries though, it won't move without a command." Nixon nodded, looking thoughtful although he'd already made the decission to keep the dog. Before he could answer, though, Fallout flicked an ear and lifted a leg, peeing down the man's left leg. "I'll take him." Nixon answered quickly with a poorly hid smile. This was going to be a beautiful partnership.

A bit too late on my part, but I've made my decision. The dog will be going to you.

I second to that.
im basically never on, so if you wanna with trade me or if you message me, be prepared to wait a while for a response. this account is first and foremost a personal archive for sentimentality's sake as it was a big part of my childhood.

You should listen to the nice people here, SnowLeopard, they're correct. If I allow everyone to try out for multiple Trackers in one batch, it'd be unfair to those who don't want to do that, and in the end, there would be many bad/rushed forms instead of good forms.
The Trackers won't end tomorrow, just have some patience. Spice up your forms, think about the history of your dream Tracker(s) and eventually another one will come that you like. (:
