Kennel Number: 57
Name: Luna
Gender: Female
Species Lesser long-nosed bat
What do you plan to use this adoption for: As a character to play with in my head, my travailing bear needs a companion and she is just to cute to pass up.
Personality:
Luna is timid and shy, she doesn't open up to any of her friends for any reason. It is quite hard to find out how she feels and she likes to keep it this way. She really listens to people, thinking about everything they say and keeping their likes and dislikes on her own little mind file. Luna acts independently, she never lets people in yet nobody would suspect there is something wrong because she voices her opinion very loud about little things. If she is hungry the whole world will know before they realize something you said hurt her feelings.
Though Luna files away everything you say and spends a lot of time inside her own mind then paying attention she actually is quite "dense" compared to most people. She has a slight speech impediment and has a hard time speaking. She will try to be sarcastic sometimes but it comes off wrong as she trips over her own tongue. She doesn't put words together easily in her mind and will often ask what you say a few times before she can put it together. She doesn't understand basic instructions but is quite intricate when it comes to her own work.
Luna is independent but she is lost without some instruction. When doing a favour or task for somebody she will often ask thousands of times if she did it right. She hates dealing with pushy people when she is trying to understand them. Coming off as stupid they get loud and she gets upset. She will shut down in the face of somebody yelling and just agree with them. Her eyes look empty as she stares into nothing and simply puts herself on auto-pilot. She is terrified of being struck and for that reason she flinches whenever somebody raises a hand.
Luna tries her hardest to keep emotions contained but simple words can have her busting into tears, she will try everything in her power to stop but her own body betrays her. She consistently thinks what other people think of her when she is around a crowd, trying to learn how to act and find out what annoys that person. She is afraid to offend somebody but says the wrong thing to commonly.
Her actions are not often thought out well enough because of her somewhat slow mind, she doesn't understand the consequences to her actions sometimes and finds out quickly how she need a re-do button. One thing Luna has a problem with is that things in common and regular feelings do not equal love. She thinks she is in love with anybody that really gives her attention when in reality they are just treating her like a regular person. She is very easy to fluster and just calling her pretty is enough to get her to blush. She doesn't believe any compliments for long but she develops a crush instead.
As she gets to know a person the crush is still there but seems to get pushed away by things they do. She sometimes forgets ever why she liked them but sometimes a certain person in her life will cause her to feel different even if they hurt her.
Something that conflicts in her is the fact that she is a very creative person. She comes up with solutions in a different way then most people would and can solve some puzzles others can't without trying. If she can't figure something out she will find a way to make herself understand. When she lets herself she can easily help people with their problems seeing the clear way out but she feels that is to outspoken and could potentionally offend the person.
Background:
It was her first day on her own, the cold air of the night seemed all the more colder as her family almost pushed her out of her warm tree knot. They were happy that their daughter had matured enough to leave home but she was terrified as ever. She looked back to see her mother eagerly waiting for her to leave, it was a bats greatest honour to leave home and start their own family, but not for her.
She stared out into the night, watching for movement of predator and prey. The wind howled through the forest and filled her wings as she opened her wings. Leaping off the tree she flapped her wings a few times, the night air providing the lift she needed. With her mother out of sight her heart ached and eyes flowed like a river, she let out a loud cry, filled with agony and fear. The forest shifted with her screeches, alerting some other species that no bat wanted the attention of.
A owls hoot shocked her out of her cries. Loud and to close for comfort, she knew she has just spoke her death wish. Pulling her wings in closely she free-fell towards the ground, knowing the owl was close behind. Spreading her wings she almost bounced off the ground in a pillow of air, flying so low she could hear the leaves being stirred by her flight. She looked back to see two piercing yellow eyes, wide and still as the moon, staring her down. Turning back to her flight she hadn't realized she was so close to the ground that a large bear was asleep in her path.
Trying to pull her wings up in the g-force she couldn't control her flight. Her body connected with the side of the bear, intense pain in her right wing as she fell to the ground beside his stomach. With a moan and not a second to loose the bear turned over, covering the bat and blocking it from the owl. It seemed to suck in its stomach as it rolled over her, its weight seemed to dissipated as it shifted. Pressure was still on her wing but she was not going to be rolled over tonight. The owl dug its claws into the bears fur and pulled, swiftly flying away after each attack to try to get its prey back. After several attempts it left, hooting in anger.
The bear rolled back onto its side and looked at the bat, its eyes wide awake and staring at the weakened frame that was under him. She had closed her eyes from the pain in her wing leading the bear to prod her with his warm wet nose. Expecting a chomp she opened her eyes to see her killer in the face, instead a gentle smile and warm eyes greeted her. "Quite the noise maker arn't cha?" he asked as he propped his head up on his paw.
The brown bear had a blue stomach among other markings as well as a well worn fedora on his head. The bat was captured by his smile, finding herself staring at him. She felt so safe with him it was captivating for her. Another time the bear asked the question, his temper not swaying as he waited. The bat suddenly felt her white cheeks go red as she knew this bear had heard her cry. She looked away, biting her lip and trying to gain control of her wing. She stood up but her right wing dragged on the ground. Flapping her left only brought pain to her right, she was stuck there in front of this bear, unable to fly.
Without a word said the bear dug into his leaf bed with his nose and motioned her into the little hole. With his own body he wrapped his stomach around her, blocking her from all the nights wind. "Take it easy, we don't need your wing to get worse now do we?" he said as she tried to refuse his kindness. Unable to sleep, being nocturnal, she laid in the warmth of his fur, the sense of protection she never felt before gave her enough adrenaline to not even get bored. As dawn approached she began to weary, her eyes drifting shut as the birds started to chirp.
The gentle swaying, left, right, left, right, she felt like she was moving in her sleep. The warm brown and blue fur still covered her stomach and warmed her core. Luna's right wing was spread out but was comfortable as her other wing was tucked close to her. She opened her eyes to see the orange and red decaying forest moving in front of her. Beside her laid two agave flowers full of delicious agave. Starving she didn't even stop to think as she grabbed one with her working arm and starting drinking the heavenly juices.
"Oh we up now?" a voice rang out scaring her out of her agave bliss. She looked up to see the bear looking back at her with the same gentle smile. Realizing she was on his back she tried to think of something to say but her tongue was tied. The bear laughed warmly as she blushed again. "I won't keep you from your meal, but I figured sense your wings broken and all you might want to ride for a while. I wouldn't mind somebody to talk to." The bear looked were he was going with a far away glance in his eye. "If that's al right with you of course." He suddenly said looking back at her. Luna smiled and nodded her head making a rather cute noise in agreement, at least he thought so. The bat dove back into her food and the bear picked up his slow pace a little to a normal walk.
Other:
Luna feeds on plants not insects, and though nocturnal for the story she has a different sleep schedule.

What do you plan to use this adoption for:Use him as a character if you will allow it,Make him a thread, make art of him, show him off, LOVE him..He is so beautiful,I've fallen in love with him <3
Personality:Ash is a very playful soul, seeing as he comes from a carnival.Instead of carrots he only likes candy canes, since little children always pretended he was real and tried to feed him treats. He likes to go outside at night and look at the moon , because it reminds him of the faire lights. He doesn't like big crowds, as he was surrounded by crowns at the carnival. He is ok with people getting on his back, as people rode on him all the time as part of the attraction he worked in.
Background: Ash was a horse in a merry-go-round.He was different from all the horses, the other horses were white, pink, blue, purple, and all sorts of wondrous colors. But he was the black sheep, the odd one out.Although children still rode on him, they liked him less than the other rainbow colored horses. Ash grew tired of everyone disliking him. "I know!I'll ask the wizard called Merlin who lives in the magic woods section of the faire. He will help me be brighter!" he thought to himself, as he was only a grey horse. But alas, he could not move!He was made from plastic, and his legs were stuck in that cursed running position. The only thing he could do was think!"No!I want to be loved...not to be some side-show freak..." he thought despairingly. But Merlin, being the magical wizard he was, could hear his thoughts."Ah!So you want to be loved,eh?How about a dash of red there..." and Poof!Ash's saddle grew red! "...and some orange here!" and Shazaam!Ash's body and tail had mottled orange blots all over it! "That should do it!" thought Merlin happily. But alas, the workers at the park thought that Ash had rusted!"This part of the ride must be put for sale! But only a caring person will be worthy of this beautiful thing." the manager declared. They hauled Ash away to the Adoption Area, hoping to find him a good home there. "At least I will have someone who loves me...." Ash thought sadly, as he was put into a kennel that suited his size.
Other:Thank you for giving me the opportunity to adopt this beautiful creation, and good luck to all!

What Do You Plan To Use This Adoption For:
I plan to use her in... well everything. Probably a lot of roleplays, I’ve been on CS for a while but I am just now starting to get into the whole character/Oekaki thing so at the moment I have...one, maybe two, characters and I would love to start expanding my little family and what’s a family without a Wereyena? Haha sorry had to add that, I’ve just never heard of a Wereyena before and think that the idea of it is simply amazing. So besides using her as a roleplay character I would also most likely make/find her a mate because a life without love is not a life at all (or at least that’s what my mom says when she comes over and sees me on the computer when I could be out “getting those boys” as she puts it...)
[Note-To-Myself: Find a Banzai and Ed, also get more milk so I can finish my cookies XD]
Okay, now we are getting into the serious stuff so I will stop messing around and switch to third person.

Personality:
Emotional Disposition --
Generally speaking Shenzi is calm and silently contemptuous with the world. She does not understand why she is the one who is being ignored within the family and doesn’t like how her whole pack has out casted her. Even so it takes a lot to get under her skin or at least a lot to get her to snap.
Pessimistic --
It isn’t much of a surprise that Shenzi has become so cynical over the years, seeing how her family treats her and by now she has decided to give up and just expect the worst. “If you don’t get your hopes up, you’ll never be disappointed.”
Spontaneous --
If Shenzi is anything hyperactive would be it. She cannot sit still for longer than five minutes and is constantly getting herself into trouble. Even though most of her grand schemes involve pranking someone else they have definitely helped her improve her mental speed, meaning that if you were in the middle of battle and something went wrong she would be the one you would want on your side.
Stubborn & Defiant --
Shenzi is not the type who likes following the crowd which sometimes means she is placed in the loner category but secretly she loves talking to other people. Even if someone finds solid evidence that she is wrong she will automatically become defensive and arrogant whenever her beliefs or views are questioned which is sometimes translated into arrogance.
Determined --
No matter what the situation, Shenzi will never give up on a goal or dream and when/if she ever does it would completely send her into a confused and emotional state in which she would cross-examine everything that she has held as the truth. Currently if you asked Shenzi what her main goal in life was she would say that it was to have fun and act out against her parents but in reality she wishes earnestly to gain approval and recognition from those around her and strives towards that goal by gaining attention in any way she can.
Distrustful --
Shenzi, although very daring and reckless at times, isn’t one of those pitiful, moping types who run off and tell the world all the things wrong in her life. She much prefers suffering in silence and hates it when people get too snoopy. She keeps the world an arm’s length away and that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. If it weren’t for Ahanu she would be a complete loner.
Promiscuous --
Because of the fact that Shenzi is so distrustful she has become very licentious and never holds relationships for very long. She would say that it is just because the right one for her hasn’t come along or that she can’t stand any of the males around here but in all honesty it is because she is so afraid to let anyone get that close to her.
Insomniac --
Ever since she was young Shenzi has always had difficulty falling asleep and would wake up several times a night for unexplainable reasons. This was never a real issue for her though because she had always loved the solitude that came with the rising of the moon.

Background:
Many years ago war raged through the wasteland of the Gaia Grassland. Hyenas fought with tooth and nail for mates, prey, water, and most of all territory. Infection and fear raced across the land and the rivers ran crimson with the blood of the fallen. In time the God’s grew weary of the quarrels of their people and sent to them four advocates: Aera, fashioned from the winds of the East, Nero crafted from the waters of the West, Verna moulded from the shadows of the South, and Kaiz wrought from the fires of the North.
These four devoted their lives to restoring harmony to the lands but the stubbornness of the mortals destroyed their plans and made them question their beliefs. When even their advocates started threatening each other, the God’s gave up their hope for peaceful coexistence among the hyenas and divided the lands; sending all those calm and steady to the East with Aera, any hyena quick and quiet to the east with Nero, everyone clever and secure to the south with Verna, and all those brave and strong to the north with Kaiz. As borders were finalized harmony settled over the land and the God’s, satisfied, returned to their slumber; entrusting the future of the pack’s to Aera, Nero, Verna, Kaiz and their descendants.
Blaize was one of these descendants, inheriting the name Born of the Flames from his father (just as the offspring of the Verna alphas would be Born of the Shadows and the children of Aera were given the name Born of the Water). Blaize and his sister Aizea grew up well learning to fight, hunt and hold their pack together even when hardships settled in. Just before his father’s death, and ultimately just before Aizea would have been given the title of alpha, she mysteriously disappeared...leaving nothing in her wake except for a raven’s feather (the mark of the Verna). Assuming that their rivals from the South had kidnapped or even worse killed the heir to the Kaiz Pack Blaize, now alpha, headed a battle party into the heart of Verna territory and killed as many hyenas as he could manage before they were driven back home.
Blaize was the only one living who knew the whole truth. Aizea, his perfect and beautiful sister, had fallen in love with Muir, the kind and exotic Verna alpha. They kept their relationship a secret until the day that Aizea found out she was pregnant. Hoping that this newfound love would create an alliance between the Verna and Kaiz she confided in her elderly father and brother asking for advice. Her father, who strongly agreed with this attempt at a peaceful alliance between the two packs, passed the title of alpha onto his daughter. Blaize overcome with jealousy and fury went to his childhood friend, Garnet, for reassurance.
That night a plan was born, a plan to purge the packs of traitorous hyenas such as Aizea and give Blaize an opportunity to regain Kaiz as his own. The said plan was simple: kidnap Aizea and have her killed, frame Verna for her death, and attack Verna as revenge while they were still too disorientated to fight back.
There was only one predicament....One predicament, a misjudgment, and two mistakes. The predicament was that Aizea gave birth the night their whole evil scheme was supposed to be set into motion.
Thrown off by the sudden change, Garnet and Blaize scrambled to make up for it, deciding to kill the newborn pups as well. Overpowering Aizea, who was still weak and fatigued, was easy for the two and once they had knocked Aizea unconscious there was no stopping them. They easily split the tasks at hand; Blaize dragging the limp body of Aizea out of the camp and towards the Verna border (leaving a blood trail for added effect) and Garnet dashing off to throw the pups into the dark depths of the nearby river.
After they had completed their tasks, they raced back to “discover” the terrible news and to declare an attack on the Verna Pack. They burst into the Verna camp a day later, completely catching their rivals off guard but not disturbing them enough to give them an advantage. Muir soon caught on and reorganized his pack, managing to chase the Kaiz party out. After that day Muir devoted his life to avenging his mate (and puppies) murders.
A while back I told you that two mistakes had been made that night. The first was that Blaize, no matter how hard he tried, was unable to complete his task and left the bleeding remains of his sister still breathing near the border between Kaiz, Verna, and Aera and the second was that of Shenzi.
Shenzi was found, whimpering, on the bank of the river; one of the two pups that survived that night. The other was found by a patrol of Verna hyenas further downriver and named Banzai. Aizea managed to crawl away and was found almost two weeks later by the Aera. Because she had no recollection of her name or family she was taken in and given the name Kele.
Blaize and Garnet “out of pure love” took in the poor, orphaned Shenzi and treated her “as if she were their own”...or at least that is what they said. In truth they hated Shenzi because they knew that if she were to somehow figure out exactly who she was, she could easily become alpha of not just Kaiz but also Verna.
To keep the young hyena as far away from power as they could they abused her, both physically and mentally, and made her into nothing less than a slave for themselves and their only child, Averett.
[Just a small note so the story below makes sense: Shenzi does not know about her mother or father, the older members of the Kaiz Pack do know but keep it a secret because Blaize convinced them it was for Shenzi’s safety. Banzai does not know about his parents either and neither does anyone else; everyone just assumed that he was some random orphan from outside the territory because he was found so far away from Kaiz territory.]

A Look Into The Life Of Shenzi:
The sharp wind cut across the wasteland causing the brittle grass to quiver and rattle as it barreled past. Shenzi crouched lower to the ground as she waited; every muscle poised to either fight or flee if something went wrong. Abruptly the silence was pierced through with the crackle of a branch sending the young gazelle and his mother bounding back to the safety of their herd. Letting out a snarl she wiped around without a moment’s hesitation; launching her body into the air and landing in front of the hyena that had interrupted her hunt.
“Hey! What are you doing here?” Shenzi relaxed, letting the hair on the back of her neck fall as she recognized Ahanu. “I was hunting before some numbskull chased away the prey,” she snapped at him, giving her friend a playful nudge as she padded past. Walking off, she followed the two gazelles and sat on the outskirts of their herd trying to determine if any were worth the risk. Ahanu followed closely behind and then sat at her side, “What are you doing so close to the border? Weren’t you banned from going past the Mopane tree?” Shenzi glanced over her shoulder studying the shadowy outline of the tree that stood on the skyline. “When have you seen me take orders from Blaize?” she shot back returning her gaze to the herd. “Well then, if you plan to disobey you might as well do it the correct way.” As he spoke the playful young male jumped to his feet, shoving Shenzi over in the process, and dashed off across the open ground…running straight towards the gazelles. Grinning she took off after her friend, yipping and yowling as she went, causing the herd to stampede away in fear. They didn’t stop running until the two were both out of breath and even then they trotted on for a while to give there heartbeats a chance to slow. “You were right,” Shenzi gasped out, “Life would stink if I didn’t have you to cheer me up.” “You know it,” he answered with a smirk.
A flash of black, a yelp, and a snarl later and Ahanu was pinned to the ground. Jumping forward Shenzi tried to help her friend up but was intervened by another hyena. With a raspy growl humming in her throat she snapped her jaws once towards the hyena that stood in front of her. “What do you want…” pausing for a second she watched as the wind pulled gently at a cluster of feathers clipped to the hyenas ear, “Verna! She spat out the last word as an insult, glaring up at the male while she kept a careful eye on her friend. “I could ask you the same thing…Kaiz,” the male’s voice rumbled up from his chest as he glowered down at her. “What are you-“ Shenzi was cut off by Ahanu wheezing out an interruption, “It…was…a mistake. We…didn’t….mean to cross the…border.” His apology was cut off by the female hyena who sat on top of him pressing her claws into his neck. “We didn’t ask you, runt!” Sick of the game that these two were trying to play she leaped forward, slipping around the first hyena with ease, and head butting the second one in the shoulder. Ahanu had just enough time to scramble to his feet before the two Verna’s had recovered. Snarling the female of the duo lunged forward almost managing to fasten her teeth into Shenzi’s foreleg but right before her jaw smashed close giggles erupted from the grass around the small group. Hoarse laughter bubbled up as hyenas flooded the small dusty clearing sending her fur prickling with unease.
One by one the hyenas came; some Verna and some Kaiz, all just as irate as the last and all looking for blood. Finally two males stepped forward, the first was Blaize who held a steady look of disgust on his face and the other was the one that everyone called Muir, Born of the Shadows, and alpha of the Verna Pack. A tense silence settled over the crowd as everyone waited for their alphas to make the first move. “Why are Kaiz on our land?” The raspy snarl came from Muir; each word making an old scar on his cheek ripple. “You attacked us first,” without meaning to Shenzi had spoken up, interrupting Blaize and ignoring the cold stares she got for acting so rude, “We were no threat to you!” Muir retorted easily, his voice calm and commanding, “Whether you are a threat or not is of no importance. What is imperative is that the Kaiz owe Verna four lives and until they repay that debt we will not compromise. In this age there is no use for apologies and no wish for reconciliation; we will regain those lives,” the large hyena threw a menacing look towards the rival pack and then turned his meaningful gaze back to his own pack, “but not in this way. These pups have not wronged us and I will not allow innocent lives to be repaid with the blood of more innocents. It is the guilty that must pay and the guilty who shall.” Spitting out the last sentence Muir let his glare linger for a moment longer on Blaize before backing away; disappearing into the shadows of night.
Slowly the rest of the Verna followed their leader, some retreating in silence and others muttering insults. Lifting her head higher and straightening her shoulders, Shenzi watched them leave; not hesitating to meet their looks. Smugly Shenzi started to turn, starting to follow the departing members of her own pack when something caught her eye….or rather someone. It was a male, about her age, and maybe a couple centimeters taller than she. He was watching her with clever grey eyes but what first caught her attention was his appearance. Her eyes danced over his pelt which was mostly made up of a dark burgundy color with a few dark grey markings on his flanks that created a simple yet elegant design and then her eyes fell to his feet….his front left paw! It was yellow! Reexamining his body she searched for any other flash of bright color but there was nothing and before she could wonder about anything else Ahanu appeared at her side. “We better go,” he whispered softly to her, “I don’t think it would be wise to stick around.” Smiling and nodding at her friend, Shenzi glanced back up but by the time she did the young hyena had already disappeared; becoming just another shadowy memory that flickered in and out of view under the moon of her mind...

Just A Quick Explanation of the Story:
Okay so because a lot of you can't read my mind (at least I hope you can't :what: )and get where I'm coming from I will let you all into the great, but kind of dissorganized, expanse of my thought processing device inside my brain. When I first thought of Shenzi's background I struggled to come up with something that would pull her past and her relationships together along with showing off her personality so in the end I ended up writing a short little story where Shenzi snuck away from her evil uncle and was just trying to get some free time. Ahanu is kind of my default guy, I don't really need him but he is an amazing character and I think his personality works well with Shenzi's so I might make him an official character of mine. One last thing, and I'm sorry if you did get this/I do not mean to insult you by doing this, but at the end the mysterious wolf is Shenzi's brother and the reason she was so surprised to see him with a yellow paw is because each pack has their own sepcial characteristics that help tell them apart (so like there are dominant markings that get passed through the whole pack).
- Kaiz have bright orange, yellow, and/or red markings normally found in sharp and symmetrical arangements.
- Verna have soft, dark markings.
- Nero hyenas have soft blue (ranging from sky blue to a dark purple-blue) markings usually patterned in swirls or waves.
- And finally most Aera have light purple, white, or silver markings.

Thank you very much to 3B for putting Shenzi/Illia up for adoption she is just gorgeous. I would also like to thank the creator of Adoption Area, it is a wonderful place and I know that it must be hard some days to keep it all going. It would be amazing if I did win Shenzi/Illia. Is ‘win’ the appropriate word? I guess it doesn’t matter because it would sure feel like winning if by some miracle I did get her. I would also like to make a quick apology about the length of this form, I added quite a few extra things to it and I'm not really sure how you will take it. When I started writing the wheels just kept turning so it was hard for me to stop! Thank you again and I hope that everyone has a great day and good luck.

Describe yourself. 'How I would describe myself? Well... Um... I guess a bit like this...
Most of the time I'm alone. Not because I want to be, but because of something else... I'll tell you later. I don't want to be alone, but on the other side I sort of like it a bit. The silentness, the lone sound of my hooves... And no others. It lies pretty difficult.
I like to make friends, though I never stay with them too long. After a while I'm getting to desire being alone again. This makes it difficult for me to keep my friends, because they never understand that I want to be alone. I've got many friends, but most of them don't like me anymore, because I left them. They just don't understand.
Understanding... Yes, that brings us to the next point. Some say I'm wise. Just because I think before I do things. I think logically, and that way I always come to a certain point, what others call 'being wise'. Some horses ask me to explain things, some ask me to help them with things, but overall they just think I'm 'wise'. I myself am not totally sure if I am 'wise', but I'll just let them thinking it if they get happy from it.
Happiness brings us to the next point. I always appear to be a bit... Down. I don't show my happiness. That's one of my worse points. I don't know why I don't, but I just don't.
You shouldn't think I'm totally perfect. Because I'm not. I've got my worse points. Like not showing my happiness. I'm getting angry very easy. I don't know why. I can't handle it if others insult/betray/exclude me. Someway I want to be alone, but I can't deal with others wanting to be alone, or others who don't include me in things. I'll just get angry. When I am angry, I don't really know anymore what I'm doing. I just... Get raging, and I'm going blind. I don't know if I can get rid of this stupid personal problem, but if I can some way, I'll definately try it.'
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
What do you like? 'What I like... Well, that's not too hard. As you already know, I love being alone. Nature is also one of my favourite things, because of the beauty and the harmony. Animals. I don't care what kind of, I just love the life Earth has given us. I love water, swimming, making fun with others.'
What do you dislike? 'Um... I surely hate selfish animals. Don't care what kind of animals, I just hate them. Because they can only think about themselves. I am afraid of fire. Because it destroys everything that's in it's way. Oh yeah, and I have a phobia for darkness. Well, for being alone in the darkness. I know, it's not logical, but it's just that way.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Tell us something about your history. 'My history... Well, it's pretty personal, but I guess you guys can know.
I was born in the middle of the summer, fifteen seasons ago. It was warm, and actually a bit too warm to be in the sun. Though, the herd I lived in, which was lead by my father, was at that moment on a place in the middle of a desert. There was no shadow. There was no water. We were travelling, because the land we used to live on, was taken over by twolegs. Twolegs with pipes which hurted, my mother told me. So we were travelling. It was hard to travel through heath and sandmountains, but my father kept us walking with stories about what we would find when we got through. A forest, as far as the eye could see. Mountains at the horizon. Grass everywhere. Pools of water everywhere you looked. It was like heaven for me.
For a season long we travelled through the desert. One by one the others of our herd drained and died. Except me, my mother, a foster foal, my dad and two others. My mother was on the edge of draining, and I could see she would not be able to go on for much longer. Then I saw it. At the horizon. A forest, thousands of gallopsteps wide, millions of gallopsteps long, four horses high. I could already see the water. With all the strength we'd got left we ran, ran towards the heaven on Earth. But when we came there, exhausted and sweating like never before, it was gone. A fata morgana. One by one we lost consciousness.
I awaked in a village. A young twoleg had found us in the desert, all unconscious, and had called the twolegs from the village. They'd pulled us with their Arabians to the village, and putted them in a stable. We got water, food and shadow. Though, I could not eat. They'd separated me and the other foal from our parents. My mother had died. My father was weak. The other two full grown horses had died also. It didn't last days before the twoleg, who was female, who found us came to us to tell that my father also had died. I didn't wanted to eat. I'd no one left in this world, only my friend, the foster foal. She was called Wind. We became best friends. After a year or so, when I had grown up, the village I'd lived in was robbered by other twolegs. Those creatures only could make war. We were taken away, putted on something what the twolegs called a ship and we were send over the sea. I love water, but this really made me angry. The ship kept waving around over the water, there was no peace. Finally, after two weeks on the boat, we arrived at our new land. The twolegs called it America. A bit of a weird name. But I didn't care. I was taken away, separated from Wind and brought to a riding school. A riding school where they tried to ride me. Of course they weren't able to do it. I only wanted to get out of there, with their perfect white walls and their 'posed' horses. Quickly I was branded as 'wild and untamable' and I travelled per train towards the south. The wild south. I'd already heared of it from my horsefriends I made at the riding school. Some of them had been there, and all said that it was the perfect place for me to escape. They putted me in another stable, but this time with cowboys. They tried to ride me also, but again, it wouldn't work. One night I managed to escape. I wandered around in the wild, found the Adoption Center. I was weak. Since I'd travelled through a desert when I was young, I'd been very sensitive for no water. They found me, kept me in the center, and here I am.'
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
How high do you stand? 'I stand 18,2 hh.'
How much do you weigh? 'You wouldn't ask a girl! Well, 725 kilograms.'
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Do you have a pack/herd? 'None yet.'
A rank in your herd? 'None yet.'
Where do you live at the moment? 'In the adoption center ;) But soon enough I'll find a herd to live in happily.'
Any others you share your home with? 'All the other adoption animals. And soon my new friends.'
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧

I really love this characters design, she just pops out to me. I might even make her my fursona, which in my mind would just mean the character that people see you as 'cuz you are always using it. x] Ah, yeah. ... I plan on making a little writing series for each character, but seeing as I'm still on character bios I don't know how soon I would get to that. She would have her own page on the character site (that I am still working on), which would include full bio and art I make/get for her. Roleplays are of course on the list.
Personality:
Fay is bright and hyper young gal. She enjoys a good book now and then but really likes outdoor actives. She is happy to help others, though does it her own way. She enjoys quiet evening alone with some hot chocolate or chocolate milk. Annoying people is her favorite thing to do when she is bored, though she almost always regrets it later.
She is, however, not very trusting. Being hunted down your whole life does that to you.
Background:
Born into a litter of six, she was different. Her mother, unknowing, had being force to mate with an alien species, the father of this young pup. Her mother and father were worried and scared of her, they didn't understand why and how this happened. Her blood father let her to the mercy of whatever. Wip.

What do you plan to use this adoption for:
She'll be a charrie with a home on my thread here. She will also be a mate for Mavros.
Personality:
Shy
Just like the colors of her coat, she is usually shy and quiet. She isn't very outgoing, and prefers just to sit somewhere and read a book or enjoy the natural world. When confronted with a problem, she usually just walks away, or looks to her mate Mavros to help her.
Kind
No matter who or what you are, she'll be more than happy to help you. She's very soft hearted and gentle. The only time she won't help someone if if they've wronged her before. She's the type to always look for the best in a person, no matter what they've done in the past. In her world, everything is peaceful, calm, and perfect; there's no fighting, no danger, and no unfair treatment. Mavros is the exact opposite, he knows what it's like to be wronged by everyone you've ever trusted, and is constantly surprised by how forgiving and trusting his mate can be.
Adventurous
This personality trait only appears when her and Mavros are out in the wilderness. She loves to explore new hiking trails, her most favorite being the one that runs along the river near their owner's cabin. It goes on for upwards of twenty miles, a fully days hike for the both of them, and it increases in height until it becomes a six-story cliff that overlooks the river and most of the forest, and the city just barely visible in the distance. Her favorite place is at the base of the river in the summertime, because it's there that the dragonflies breed and the monarchs pass through in the early fall.
Complicated
Though she may seem simple, there is a pain in her eyes no one knows about. She hides it in the deepest chambers of her heart, memories of a time before she lost everything. No one knows, not even Mavros. It's the secrets she hides that take the form of the nightmares that haunt her sleep. She may seem simple and carefree on the outside, but on the inside her heart is a tangled mass of multicolored thread that will never come untangled.
Stubborn
When she makes up her mind, not even a herd of elephants will change it. Though she is usually very open-minded, she is extremely stubborn when she wants something and she won't change for anyone. But she is careful about the situations; if it could get someone hurt, whether physically or mentally, she will relent. But she will still get what she wants in the end. She isn't mean about it, either; she's just very cunning and knows how to appeal to people. Maybe that's what has kept her alive with Mav.
Background:
"You don't know who I am!" The grey male snapped viciously. He didn't mean to, but his old self was beginning to show through: the killer, the murderer, the wolf he wished he could hide.
"I may not know who you were," Rayne said softly as the sky opened up, the rain falling in a steady, noisy pattern around them. "But I know who you are now. At at least I thought I did," she replied, backing away a couple of steps as her eyes teared up. It was just as before. "Come back to me when you remeber," she said quickly, turning around and running off, the tears streaming from her red eyes.
Mavros sighed and looked down. How had it come to this? He didn't know, but he hated it. he hated hurting her, because in his heart he knew she had been hurt before. But it was for her own safety, or so he thought. What if the killer reared up again? He didn't want his red-tinged gaze to lock on to her as his next target. The big male lowered his head, and for the first time in his life, he cried.
~*~*~
"Come on Mavros, keep up!"
"Ah, I'm coming I'm coming."
The black and pastel wolf bounded happily down the trail, her new mate and companion following behind her at a calmer trot. Getting out of that pound was nice, she thought. She really liked the human that had adopted her, and over the past month she had fallen in love with the quiet male named Mavros. She didn't remember much of the home before the pound, but she remembered it had been big and spacious, and the big glass doors that led out to the balcony had had a view over the other tall metal skyscrapers that splintered the skyline into smaller pieces. That life had been filled with luxury; she would remember the old couple that used to take care of her talking about all the things wrong with the world, and Rayne has just blew it off and called it a lie. Then she didn't remember anything until the pound; the cold, hard cage with a flimsy mat for a bed, the dry tasteless food she was given once a day, the metallic-tasting water that was fed in from a pipe. She shuddered inwardly; the wait had been long, but love found her again. "Come on slowpoke!" She called back, stopping to wait for Mavros.
"I would say conserve your energy, but you have too much of it," he replied as he trotted up beside her, the two of them settling into a relaxed walk as their tails intertwined.
"Let's spend the night out here tonight! The skyline is beautiful at the little den we found," she said.
"Are you sure that's such a good idea, Rayne?" Mavros asked.
"Why not? Amethyst knows we'll come back."
Mavros sighed, considering it. He had put it off for so long, he felt bad about putting it off even longer. "Fine," he said. "We can camp out here for the night." Rayne gave a leap of joy and took off again, stretching her long legs as she ran for the joy of it. Mavros rolled his one good eye and sighed again; her energy was contagious. The male ran after her, stretching his own legs and relishing in the short run.
They finally came upon the den right before sunset; the blue of the sky was now fading into a deep red, the clouds a bright pink and the sun a great orange disk as it disappeared behind the distant shadows of the city skyscrapers.
"They look like toothpicks," Rayne commented, the sun making red highlights on her black coat. Mavros looked over at her and smiled, then looked back out. Suddenly Mavros looked to the east and didn't like what he saw.
"We have a bad storm coming in," he said, seeing the thunderhead slowly approach, the lightning within it flashing violently. "We should head home." Bad things happened when there was a storm.
"Oh come on Mav, don't be a wimp!" She winked. "We'll be fine."
Mavros sighed; she didn't know what storms did to him, what they made him. "I really think we need to go back," he said a little more urgently. "We can do this tomorrow night."
"Mavros, we'll be fine," Rayne said, the female all but vanishing as the sun disappeared over the horizon and the moon peeked out from between the thick tree trunks. A charged, metallic scent clung to the air and the increasing rumble of thunder made it hard for Mavros to think.
He growled in frustration. "Let's get inside then," he said, trying to keep his calm. This was not good.
"Mavros, are you ok? If the storm is worrying you that bad we'll head back," she said, noticing how much Mavros' disposition had changed.
"It's too late," he sighed, moving as far back as he could in the shallow alcove. The sheet of rain drew nearer by the minute, and the thunder shook the ground underneath them. Mavros curled up and laid down, facing away from Rayne. Rayne stood confused for a moment then went and laid beside him, trying to give him comfort. "Get away from me," he growled.
Rayne looked at him in shock; that wasn't like him. "Mav-"
"I said GET AWAY!" Mavros snapped, his teeth missing her nose by a hair.
Rayne jumped up and backed away. "Mavros what is wrong with you?!" She said, still in shock from his outburst.
Mavros turned his head away. "I'm sorry Rayne but I can't let you get close right now."
"Well what was before then? Are you suddenly questioning our mating?" She whispered, her heart hurting with the thought of it.
"No Rayne, our mating is the best part of my life."
"But you aren't acting like it," she whimpered, her head lowering.
"Rayne, right now it's me. I'll be fine once the storm passes," he tried to reassure her, but the damage had been done.
"This is just like last time," she whispered, tears beginning to form in her eyes.
"Rayne you don't know who I am, what I've done, what's in my blood to do. I don't want you to get hurt!" He snapped as he sat upright, the aggressiveness in his voice showing through again. He quickly tried to rein it in but it was too late.
"I may not know who you were," Rayne said softly as the sky opened up, the rain falling in a steady, noisy pattern around them. "But I know who you are now. At at least I thought I did," she replied, backing away a couple of steps as her eyes teared up. It was just as before. "Come back to me when you remeber," she said quickly, turning around and running off into the dark forest, the tears streaming from her red eyes.
He could feel the roaring inside of his chest with each roll of thunder, the urge to chase her down and kill her. 'No,' he shook his head. 'That's your mate, not a target.' he told himself, looking behind him to the place where she had vanished. He sat for another moment before reality hit him. "I don't have to live in fear," he mumbled to himself. "I can control who I am. The demon won't win." He stood with new resolve and turned, bolting into the forest. "Rayne!" He called, continually scenting the air as he chased after her. It seemed like forever before he broke out of the trees and into a clearing. There was a lake in the middle of it that faded into a stream, and off of a small cliff fell a waterfall. Water lilies lined the lakes' edges, and fireflies danced on the wildflowers. He looked around. There, sitting by the lake crying was Rayne. Mavros could feel his heart breaking in two.
The big male walked over and sat beside her, resting his head on her neck as she unconsciously leaned against him. She still trusted him. "Rayne, let me explain why I acted that way. I apologize but it was for a reason." He sighed. "Back when I was an insurgent military dog, my squad was always trained most violently during storms. They did this to ingrain a sense of ruthless killing with skill during missions, because all of our missions were typically run in the middle of a thunderstorm. All of this was before my scar and my injury, when the army leiutenant brought me back to the states and Amethyst took me in. Thunderstorms still bring out that violence, and I'm just scared of hurting you. I can't always control it," he said. Rayne looked up at him and nodded, now understanding but the hurt was still there. "I didn't mean to snap, but I was just trying to get the message across before I attacked or lost my cool." The rain was still pouring around them, but the thunder and lightning had faded off into the distance.
"I just don't want what we have to turn out like Rex," she whimpered, leaning farther into his shoulder.
Mavros remembered what she had told him about her last so-called "mate", the big shot husky who up and left her for no reason, leaving her with two puppies that her old owner had given away. "It won't," Mavros said. "I promise."
