Reason You Want It: I'm a huge fan of horror movies, may it be paranormal, gore, psycho-killers, and yes, zombies. I've never really considered having an undead character, but Spotty's design is great. I love the simplicity of it. when I first saw the character I thought of a Pet Semetary movie I watched when I was like, 7. It scared me to death, but I'm sure I could handle it now. Having Amarande as a character gives me the opportunity to create my own horror stories [;
History/Background/Other: The day my son brought home that flea-bitten mongrel, I knew he would be nothing but trouble.
"Please daddy? I'll take care of him, he'll be a good dog!" My son had begged.
"Jeremy, I've told you, I dont want a dog. Our family is better of without one." I explained flatly. He looked up at me with sad, pleading eyes, holding the pup close to his chest. It wagged its tail, tongue drooping out as it looked up at me. I sighed. "Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee?!" He begged again. I sighed. "Fine. But he's your responsibility.." I said, giving in. A goofy smile spread across Jeremy's face. "Thanks daddy! I promise I wont let you down!" He said, hugging the dog harder. The two new friends ran upstairs and I heard Jeremy's bedroom door slam.
Maybe I shouldn't have given in. But I wanted Jeremy to be happy. His mother, my wife, had died 4 years ago. Since then it was just the two of us. Jeremy went to school at the nearby middle school, he was in sixth grade. I had gotten a job at a cable company, and on saturday nights I worked at a popular restaurant downtown. I guess Jeremy deserved a companion.
"Jeremy, I don't want that dog here alone when I'm at work. Tie him up outside. Theres some twine in the closet." I yelled upstairs to Jeremy, who was getting ready for school. "Okay, fine." Jeremy yelled back down, the dog barking with him. "By the way his name is Amarande. Its a Greek word. We're learning about ancient Greece in school right now." Jeremy announced happily, as he ran down the stairs with the dog at his heels. I patted his head, then headed off to work.
The three of us lived pretty happily, a man, his son, and their dog. To most people, not your picture perfect family. But hey, we were content. 6 years passed, and Amarande grew to be pretty decent pet.
I was sitting in my office, the same one I'd been in for 9 years. My blackberry went off in my pocket. I grabbed it and flipped it open. A new text message popped up, it was from Jeremy "Dad com home quick randy got hit by car". I quickly texted back saying i would be home as soon as possible, and did just that. I raced home, (but still kept an awarness of the speed limit) and soon pulled into the driveway. Jeremy was sitting at the side of the road, Randy's head resting on his lap. I could tell Jeremy had been crying. "Theirs nothing we can do.. I'm sorry Jeremy." I said, trying not to sound to harsh. I approached him and placed my hand on his shoulder, then used the other to gently stroke Randy's slightly bloodied fur. He twitched, but then was still. "...I'll take care of him. Just go inside; do your homework, whatever." I told Jeremy, lifting the still body from his lap.
I came inside after burying Amarande in our small backyard. Just to speed things up, me and Jeremy remained in the house for 2 more years, before Jeremy went off to college and I moved to a quieter town.

(The next part no longer involves Randy's past family, and is in his point of view.)
I hear voices. Voices I don't recognize.. Where was my family? Jeremy? I realized I couldn't see or move, but breathing didnt seem to be an issue. I somehow figured out I must be underground.. But why? I managed to dig myself out wit ease. The crisp October air ruffled my damp fur. Looking around, I realized that I was home. The unfarmiliar voices appeared to be coming from my house. I cautiously approached my home, and scratched on the back door like I always had when I wanted in. I yipped quietly, for I knew Jeremy's father didnt like it when I barked too loud. I heard the strange voices come to the door, carefully opening it. I look up at them, scared when I dont recognize their faces. I try to act innocent, for I was very confused. I whined, hoping they would still let me come inside my home. Jeremy was probably inside too. The woman who answered the door screamed, and collapsed into the other human's arms. The man slammed the door shut. I whimpered, wondering why they hadn't let me in.
It took much self persuasion before I managed to leave the property, the place I had called home for most of my life. I wandered the streets like I had before Jeremy had found me. Back when I was a small puppy. But surely, I must still be cute, right? I found a puddle, the light from the full moon illuminating it. I looked into it, and almost peed myself at what I saw. I didn't look like a dog anymore.. My one good eye was white and filmy looking, while the other was missing, scars swelling shut the socket. My lower jaw was lacking fur, and flesh for that matter. My fur
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.
Of course.
