Pet's ID Tag: 93
Name You'd Choose for It: Autumn.
Gender: she.
Reason You Want It: because the design is really subtle and the season shown is my favorite. The scenery shows my favorite part of fall.
History/Background/Other:
I stepped on the imaginary floor of our realm, covered in old maps and latitude and longitude lines of the earth. Many star maps settled in the sky, showing constellations that the human men have created. My sister and brothers padded in at the same pace as me, yet I still got there before them, thanks to my longer-than average legs.
"Brother, sisters." Summer greeted us all with a nod, which we respectfully returned. Summer being the brighter, sympathetic, and empathetic one out of us four. He loved helping people and had very high charisma levels, unlike Winter, our brother, being cold and dark, gloomy with blues and grays.
Other: she is the figurative autumn in canine form.
her longer legs resemble skinny tree branches and her short, colorful body resembles autumn leaves.
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.

Pet's ID Tag: #78

Name You'd Choose for It: Murmur

Gender: Male

Reason You Want It:

I know it's cheesy and overdone, but I can honestly say that I feel in love with his design. I'm attracted to fire designs in the first place, but what really pulled me in was his bright green ear-tips and his studded collar. I adore studded collars and I just love his colors. Especially the striking green. It's got to be one of the most adorable designs I've ever seen. <3 I have very big plans for him. He will be featured in a series of chapters of a new story that I am planning out. He will be a perfect fit for a Soul Seeker who wields the scimitar. I'm hoping to get him because it will be ironic in the story that he looks like a demon himself. I'm really hoping to get him, because he's going to be my mischief and he's going to stir up a lot of trouble in my stories, yet still be a good guy. <3 I tried to convince myself not to go for him, but he pulled me in too much. <3 Sorry I didn't have much time on my form, but I plan to do a lot with him. D: He will definitely get art. <3

History/Background/Other:

Personality:
Murmur is a mischievous young pup. His clever plans and outgoing personality often get him in trouble. He's not afraid to speak exactly what he's thinking. He's rather opinionated and brash. He's one to rush into fights without thinking, though, secretly, he's extremely clever from planning out practical jokes in his younger years. He loves to play pranks and make his friends laugh. It's natural to him for survival, so he isn't usually a naturally nice character. Although, if you manage to befriend him, he's rather loyal, though he doesn't like to show it. Murmur also has some trust issues, being very stubborn at times.

My History.

You know, I've always been an outcast. My father was half demon, my mother pure wolf. The strange colors and horns came from my father and the wolf appearance came from my mother. I'm not sure exactly what I am... I'd always lived on a volcano. Secluded from the outside world, looking down with my unforgiving, neon green eyes. They shimmered with hatred, and my heart burned angrily. Why me? Why did I have to be an outcast? My family treated me well, but I didn't wan to live life in solitary confinement. I ran away. Not because I didn't like my parents, but because I wanted to see the world. I traveled, never making a single friends. Stealing to survive, playing cruel practical jokes... I'd been a troublemaker until he found me, and I discovered my true purpose in life...

How I became a Soul Seeker.

I padded along the dusty, dry dirt road of the outskirts of the Egyptian city I had just blessed with my mischievous presence. My jaw worked happily at the stolen, dried beef my stomach so longed for. Yes, stole. That just made it taste all the better. Egypt was definitely one of the easiest places I had ever raided on my journeys. Its inhabitants were slow and under-quenched. Luckily, I was clever and held a flask of water from a strong, old leather strap thrown over my burnt-red shoulder. My spiny collar shimmered in the desert sun as I left the small town behind. All I could see ahead of me was undulating hills of sand, glittering mockingly in the light of the full-on afternoon. My pads didn't hurt from the burning sand because of the time I had spent on the volcano. My old life. Thrown away like an old bone that's had all of the juicy marrow sucked out of it. Swallowing the thoroughly-chewed beefy mush, my stomach felt satisfied, ready for another long journey across these monotone deserts. Slowly, I walked on, conserving my strength. I reflected on the times of my past. Glued to that tropical island... to that bubbling, hot volcano. An image of my wolf-like demon father flickered into my mind,
"Murmur, do you know why we named you Murmur?" His unforgiving eyes burned into my naive, clueless ones.
"Why, Papa?" I would ask innocently.
"He was the name of a heartless, souless demon," my father would growl, "who lead an army of thousands of soldiers, tearing down anything in his way!" he would finish with a snarl, "You have no heart, no soul, feel no mercy, Murmur..."

My skin crawled at the memory. Why did my father say such things? Numb from my memory, I hadn't noticed that my hind foot had been caught in a hole in the sand. Growling irritably, I attempted to jerk it out, but something held fast. Something. My heart leaped as I struggled against the hand which held me by the ankle. Finally, I managed to take a bound forward. My mouth opened in a soundless wail as I saw what was behind me. A shadowy figure that looked like a giant ant with arms and legs. Its pincers snapped and strange, dark blue saliva bubbled from its jaws. I was frozen in terror, my joints locked and frozen in panic. Though, I heard a whistling and an arrow pierced through the monster's arm that held me, releasing me. It screeched and reeled back, the same dark blue liquid squelching from the wound. I turned. Atop a dune stood an African Wild Dog, a strange brown band tied around his upper arm, holding the string of a bow in his jaws. A quiver was hung on his back, filled with arrows. For some reason, my heart felt a tug as I saw the band. Why...?
"Move it!" the dog shouted, "Summon your weapon!" What was he talking about? I didn't have a weapon! The dog looked exasperated as I just looked at him dumbly. "Feel it, think of fire..." he mumbled something to himself under his breath after he had said it.
"Why should I trust you?" I shouted, my rebellious nature kicking in. The dog threw his muzzle towards the monster which was now recovering, eying me again with its evil eyes. That was reason enough for me. Closing my eyes, I imagined a flame, dancing, growing hotter, hotter... More and more wild. Suddenly, whoosh, in a flash of flame a scimitar appeared in my mouth. The spikes on my collar glowed a radioactive green and I felt a rush of power surge through me like a tidal wave in a viscous, tropical storm. Without another thought, I leaped at the monster. Instinct perhaps? Whatever it was it egged me on. I tore through the monster with my powerful weapon. It felt hot... Alive in my jaws. Soon, the sand was coated in a hissing blue goo. The scimitar disappeared, and I stood there, feeling empowered. The African Wild Dog casually strode up beside me, his weapon also gone.
"Who are you?" I choked out, stunned, my mind reeling from what had just happened.
"I am Quiver, a Soul Seeker. What you just saw now was a demosite, they are minions of Set, the evil god. He seeks to destroy the entire world. We're both Soul Seekers." Quiver said, his passionate eyes piercing through mind, touching my heart. "We're supposed to save the world. That collar you wear... It is your weapon, I'm unsure of how you obtained it, but it was destiny once it was in your possession. Just like my arm band." His eyes flicked to the brown band, then back to me. I thought back to when my kind mother had handed me the collar, I knew I had felt a strange, but pleasant ringing through my body as I had put it on.
"Why should I go with you?"
"Because I've been send out by the Goddess to collect all of the Soul Seekers." Quiver's ear flicked irritably. "If you don't come with me, those things will hunt you down and kill you." Quiver's voice didn't change, it seemed he had already recited this before. "You will have no protection and no training. No knowledge of that scimitar you wield. Though, I can teach you." I hesitated. Should I really trust this wolf? I had never had a friend before. What was a friend? Take a chance. A voice in my head whispered.
"I was told that I have no soul." My argument surprised me. The dog rolled his eyes.
"That's ridiculous and not much of an argument." Quiver growled, his muzzle wrinkling. With that, he turned and began to pad away. He stopped once a few feet away and looked back to me over his shoulder. "Look, you can come with me, live, be a hero, save the world, yadda yadda. Or you can continue by yourself and die." he said, then continued to walk into the heat of the desert. I could see some mirages, how could he find his way? What happened next astonished me. I began to follow. My mind told me no, but that thing, my heart, perhaps my soul, pushed me forward. That was the day I began to change. My whole personality, my entire soul. Because of this one dog... Because of the Soul Seekers. Because of.... hope...

This story features Quiver

For the record he is 1/4 demon and 3/4 wolf. :3

Pets ID tag: #90
Name you'd choose for it: Coshi autumn Hkosho(Coshi for short)
Gender: Female
Reason you want it: She is so lovely! And I'm sorta moving from the house I have lived in forever and she reminded me of my house for some reason, I'd love to get her! Also, I promise I will get as much as I can and try and get her into my char thread( I use my iPod cause my comps down, so I'm limited to most thing.)
History/background/other:
My mother was named Kori, but we still just called her mother. I had 3 siblings, My zombie brother named Zomb, My light blue brother with orange leaf markings, his name was Gorken, my devilish looking brother Diablo, then My bobtail brown sister wih red leaf markings, her name was autumn. My mother had always been a stray. She wandered the street, digging up scraps of food from the garbage heap, and sometimes hunting on the woods. My mother was heavily pregnant and was starting to produce her milk. She was wandering neighborhoods on Halloween night when she came across a shed with a open door, he shed looked abondoned. My mother crawled into the shed. Many ravens flew around the top of the shed but mother ignored them. Kids had just starting trick or treating when my mother had crawled into a large wooden box. She gave birth to 9 puppies, only me and my 4 siblings survived. 2 came out dead and 1 flailed around the straw in the box with a missing leg and a mutated looking body, some of his eye was bulging out. Mother grabbed him and threw him out of the box, he whimpered for a long time before falling silent. My siblings and I snuggled close to Mother and suckled. We yelped everytime a little ears heard the shrieks and crys of pleasure has kids ran around claimig their claim of candy. At this point in life my siblings and I depended on our mother more than ever. Mother barely ever left the nest, the only time she did leave was to eat or releave herself. Finally at a point in life our eyes opened. My siblings were constantly curled up to each other even though we could wobble to our feet and look at the strange world. I often layed my head on the edge of the box and look out the shed window. The world looked dark and luminous to me. The trees had no leaves at all now and the ground was raked with dead orange leaves. One day me and my siblings got to get out of the shed. We tumbled around happily.

Pet's ID Tag: 78
Name You'd Choose for It: Therin
Gender: Male
Reason You Want It: I really enjoy dark colors in contrast with bright ones, and any amount of horns. <3 Plus I'd love to see how this design would look on a more feral wolf base, with soulless eyes. @.@

History/Background/Other:

Desecrated:
-To violate the sanctity of
-To treat disrespectfully, irreverently, or outrageously

I laughed, grinning up at the moon.

“Nothing but you, me and the darkness tonight.”

A cool breeze shifted my fur, and I leaped up, my paws thudding against the dry ground as I ran across the field. My back must have looked like a streak of light against the inky blackness. The rest of my fur faded into the deep shades of night.
Desecrated Ones. That was what they called us. They understood that what they did to us was cruel, and yet refused to allow us to live with them, our souls too impure for their affection. The seer of the pack would inspect each pup when it was born, deciding the fate of the wide-eyed uncertain infant. If it was deemed that they had too much darkness in them, they were left outside the boundaries of the group’s land to fend for themselves. It didn’t matter if we were a mirror image of their beauty. One glance was enough to send us to a life of oblivion.

The lucky ones were taken in by a rogue; trained to hunt wild game, hide in caves when it was cold, lay in the cooling stream when it was hot. I was one of those fortunate pups. My mentor, Acexus, was a deserted wolf like me. His face was the only part of him that shone white against the pitch blackness of his fur. Long ridged horns grew in front of his ears. He was old, older than so many things. He used to tell me stories of what this place was like long before I was born. I didn’t know at the time that he was hundreds of moons old. I didn’t know how much I could have learned from him. I regret not listening more.

I didn’t understand at first, all the things he told me. It didn’t occur to me that there were animals that lived longer than a couple dozen moons. When I was only thirty-six moons old, I had already seen so many small creatures’ lives spark to life, and burn out just as quickly that it didn’t make sense to me that we could live so much longer. Wolves, he said, were the only sentient beings on this land. Nothing else had that essence, the soul that gives us emotion and memory. The rabbits didn’t understand love, or hate. Birds didn’t feel loneliness on a cold winter night, when the world was still and nothing else seemed to exist. The fish in the river didn’t feel the joy of waking up to the cooling rain after a long drought. No, we were the only creatures that felt, that knew, and that would remember things when the world changed and shifted so many moons from now.

Not only did we have the magic of feeling, we had the gift of tangible powers as well. Come my sixtieth moon, I already felt a presence in me, burning stronger every day. Leaping after a hare, my teeth bared and hackles raised, the burning feeling overcame my body. Black and pale green flames roiled over my fur, everything seemed to be tinged in a glowing hue. In surprise, I missed the creature completely and rolled on my side across the dry, wispy grass. As soon as I hit the ground, they disappeared. My vision returned to normal, and I lay there, panting. Acexus trotted over to me, grinning coldly. “I see that you’ve grown into your abilities.” His ice blue eyes stared into mine.

“Abilities? What was that? What happened to me?” Still shaken by being covered in something that I had only seen before from a distance, after the crack of thunder over a dry field, I raised to my paws, shuddering.
“Every wolf has certain powers, or abilities, that separate them from the rest. Yours seem to come in the form of fire. Mine are in the form of wind. They appear as an aura around the body when your emotions become heightened, especially if you haven’t yet learned to control them. After you can control when they appear, you can test what they can do.” He turned around quickly. “Finish your hunt for tonight and I’ll teach you more about them when the sun comes up.”

Personality:
Therin is very intelligent, quick to learn, and cynical. Like anyone else though, there’s a bit more to him than that. When he was younger, instead of longing for a connection or a pack, he valued his freedom. He was constantly looking for new things to learn, more things to explore. Now that he’s older, he wanders the lands trying to find something to fill some void in his soul that was emptied long ago. He places a high value on life and judges based on how you live it.

Pet's ID Tag: #129

Name You'd Choose for It: Kuifje

Gender: Male

Reason You Want It: I have a soft spot for the abnormal, and to top it off, I absolutely adore the spiderweb design.

History/Background/Other -

Breed: Australian Shepherd mix

Personality: Kuifje is an oddly sociable creature, though his coat deters those who only look skin deep. He has a few companions, but occasionally it is hard to discern whether they truly appreciate him for him, or merely revel in the status of befriending a freak.

At first Kuifje felt the urge to prove himself worthy to others, to gain their friendship, their respect; mindlessly worshiping their every move to gain their interest. He felt this was the only way to obtain friends, but over time, he realised just how two-faced these 'friends' really were. He then began to pull away from the mainstream, preferring to "dance to his own beat" if you will... Those only interested in him fawning over their every move started to fade away, while those who were not held by superficial whims begun to emerge from the shadows.

While he appreciates the bond of true friendship, he does not mourn the loss of one, those who are meant to be in your life will be, and those who aren't were just not meant to be.

Back story: Halloween... Is it really that time of year again? Where children and adults alike dress to play the fool, attempting to outdo each other in the most ridiculous fashion possible... Who has the best outfit, who has the most candy, who's house is the most haunted? Ahh, humans; always competing against one another in some form or another.

Now if you were to judge me at this point by my above comments, you would assume I that I have some deep hatred of this celebrated event... Though curiously, you would be mistaken. I thoroughly enjoy this event, for it is the one time of year that none gape and awe at my disturbing pelt. I have always looked like this, I am not an escaped victim of some lab experiment gone wrong, or someone's idea of a twisted joke (though perhaps mother nature's).

I am quite simply, a freak of nature.
~

I could literally taste the excitement in the air, at each passing hour the feeling grew stronger. Tonight, tonight was the night that all hell would break loose, cheap imitations of monsters and the undead would roam the streets, seeking but one goal... candy. I shivered with delight, my nails clicking the on crisp pavement, my eyes alight with the activity around me. My ears pricked at the sound of a crinkling candy wrapping, gleefully being unwrapped by a delirious child. The sights and scents of the houses all around me was intoxicating, and I drank it all in; reveling in the celebrations.

I ended up trailing after a group of spindly children, snatching tidbits of sweets whenever their guard was down. I loitered in the human's gardens, exploiting the decorations and nearly singeing the hairs around my nose after getting a little too close to the twisted face of a lit pumpkin. All too soon though, I tired of these activities... I longed for something a bit more, challenging.

Trotting through the colourfully lit streets, I searched valiantly for a target that suited my requirements; when a girl of no more then seven or eight winters brushed past, clutching a plastic pumpkin, filled to the brim with candy. Perfect. I followed her like a shadow as she wandered to and fro from houses, waiting for the perfect instant to strike.

That moment came shortly after, fussing over a chocolate bar, she fumbled and dropped it; as she bent down to retrieve it and I made my move; shooting forward and snatching the plastic handle of the pumpkin from her grasp with my teeth and darting off to devour my prize... Or so I thought.

A whimper stopped me dead in my tracks, and I turned my head to look back at the girl. Tears were brimming in her eyes, spilling down her cheeks and she crumpled to her knees, looking crushed. Curious at her actions, I slunk back to where she knelt; my tail low and my tread cautious. As I edged closer, the girl looked up, her tears were choked back and all of a sudden she lunged at me, her warm arms clasped around my neck. At first I stiffened, my head and neck locking up in alarm but as she buried her face in my fur, I felt myself relax; this sensation was foreign to me, but there was something so gentle in her touch I did not fear it. Minutes past, and still her hold stayed firm but something changed, I heard her voice, no louder the a whisper, muffled into my coat.

"Come home with me..."

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.

Of course. <3

Pet's ID Tag: 34
Name You'd Choose for It:
Gender: Male
Reason You Want It: When I first saw this donation a few months ago, I was immediately drawn to it. I wasn't sure why, but I really liked it. At first I decided not to go for it, since I already have many canine characters. But then I realized I had been looking for a meerkat character, since I love them, and realized the markings of the donation I liked would actually sort of fit for a meerkat: Tan coloring, dark around eyes, dark ears, lighter front paws...I thought it fit rather nicely, and decided to go for him.

(Note: This will not be finished in time for the code drop, as there is a character at TaN I'm going to go for. Since I'm the only one going for 34, I'll finish this form next round. c:)
