Name: Charcoal
Species: Smili
Personality: Charcoal is lonely and cold. As she was abandoned while young, she has a negative view of the world. She is ruthless, often treating others cruelly when she is upset. However, she just wants real affection, and she often tries to become friends, but her pride doesn't allow her to compliment others. She hopes that one day she will be friends with someone whom will understand her but not hate her for it. Secretly, she hates herself, and her inability to connect.
Likes: Charcoal loves fire, silences, spicy food and anything that makes her feel.
Dislikes: Charcoal dislikes chatter, gossip in general and pity.
Background:
When Charcoal was only very young, she was abandoned by her mother, and was found by a hunter. The hunter, instead of killing Charcoal straight away, kept her for amusement, in a cage. Charcoal instantly thought of the hunter as her mother, and truly loved him. The hunter occasionally let her out to hunt, and Charcoal always brought something back for him to eat. They usually sat in silence over the campfire, not talking but just looking at each other. She knew he didn't trust her, as he was always looking at her warily and making sure that she did not get too close to him, but she loved him anyway.
However, the price for Smili coats skyrocketed, due to their long fur and beautiful colours. The hunter instantly realised that Charcoal's coat was stunningly beautiful, with its dark shades and fire like patterns dancing across her pelt. He considered it for a day, for he had developed some sort of affection for Charcoal, as she always gave him things to eat, and she was a useful kind of creature. However, in the end, when Charcoal returned to the campsite, with one swift tug the hunter grabbed her by her ruff, and leered at her with some sort of greed.
Charcoal was terrified at the glint of the knife, as she watched him kill animals before.. With a sudden movement, she was out of his hand, and with a vicious roar, she leapt at the hunter and tore her claws down his face, ripping off his skin. The hunter screamed, but when Charcoal bit into his neck, he screamed no more.
From that day on, Charcoal just couldn't love anymore, since the only friend she had in the world had betrayed her. And she wandered lonely in the woods, her fur glimmering as she stalked through the trees.
