Bedtime Story [600 word limit]:
Once upon a time, there was a skrunkly axolotl called Carl.
Carl wanted a gorl called Gertrude really badly, and so one day, he hopped into his unicycle and made his way towards Carl's Jr..
In there, he decided to buy a few gifts for Gertrude. He bought her a pink pencil, some delicious frogs and a bouquet of ducks. But the problem was, how would he get to Gertrude? She lived so far away in the other side of the soup store!
He decided he would have to wiggle all the way to the other side of the soup store.
He was dazzling.
He didn't think he'd have the milk carton to do it.
But he did.
Gertrude looked into his orange eyes when he arrived, kissed him and took his gifts graciously. They got married in a Walmart and Susan wore a wrinkly purple dress. They had 25 quite wiggly children and lived happily ever after. They even got a pet pangolin!

Other: I'm really bad at creative writing, so I literally just used a Mad Libs bedtime story generator and this is what came out. I have no idea who Susan is, I didn't type that in. Website is here!

"when you hear that sound, I need you to tell me."
a figure speaks to you before slinking back, fading ominously into a wall of fog behind it.
the forest surrounding you seems to connect and meld with itself as if it were all a large creature.

while not inherently unnerving, it stirs a feeling within you -
that which you've felt only when doing something you know to be wrong.
nothing extreme, of course.
whenever you saw an accident or another being's injury it sparked discomfort within your gut.
along with this discomfort, however, was an innate sense of curiosity.
there's nothing exactly 'wrong' with being curious, despite warnings from proverbs.
and you know that.
but still, that feeling stirs within you.
it's alright though.
it's okay to explore.
it's okay to be curious.
it's okay to wander.
despite this, the feeling lingers.

the forest hums, stilling itself.
a cold breeze laps around you.
the fog in the distance ahead of you simply waits.
calm, yet somewhat unsettling.
it's too quiet.
you begin to notice the little things -
the rustling of leaves on the trees,
birds fluttering far away,
the equalized rumble in your chest.
it's unfamiliar, yet still calm.
it's okay to feel this way.

you hear a sudden discordance.
and you awake.

Other: while not a typical 'bedtime story', I hope this is still interesting, the design of the Draukae made me think it's a sort of dream-eater that might interact with others in a different sense ^^ thank you for the opportunity! <3

There was once a warrior whom would scour far and wide for bounty, glory, and riches, and the search for a dragon unlike any other, for this dragon was known to share the riches of their horde to the people of the land. inspired by the kindness this dragon possessed, each time he came back he gave his riches to a princess he had fallen head over heels for as he thought these riches would do more for her beauty then his. Each time she thanked him for his hard work and rewarded him with a kiss as she put the treasure into a large pile in her room, but alas the warrior wanted something more, her hand. He had asked his father her hand in marriage but her father had believed that it was her choice not his but would give his blessing is she said yes...
He would come back after getting the grandest of prizes, a large golden stature of the dragon the people had saw with the princess and warrior riding atop it. Presenting it, the expression he expected on her face was not one he expected. She'd rub her chin, looking over the status before giggling softly, looking back at the warrior. The words he spoke would shock him...
"My dear, I think you have me all wrong. While you have both my likenesses perfectly, I'm afraid I couldn't ride upon myself..." She spoke, laughing harder at the thought... For... She was the dragon and he had assisted her on her horde that she'd kindly carry on the generosity to her people far and near.
Upon this revolution her face would sadden, realizing that the warrior had done for her and what his intentions were. With a heavy sigh she'd speak again
"My dear warrior, I'm sure this is a shock to you and I would understand that you would want your gifts back, I'd happily depart them as an apology" she said but he would laugh and laugh and laugh even more. Her face contorting into confusion. He'd calm himself, holding himself as he was doubled over and smiled.
"My dear princess, you take me as a man to quit so easily, if you take my hand, it can be our horde." He spoke, smiling.
With happy eyes and an even happier smile, she'd say yes.. For his acceptance for who she was had touched her heart so.
Other: Just a silly little story I thought up!
