History:
I looked up at the moon and let its pale glow embrace my dark coat, my pale blue eyes glowed brightly I hovered ever so slightly off the ground my wings beating mercilessly in order to keep me in the cool air. I never had been a very good flyer, I was a mockey compared to that beautiful pegasus GlimmerHeart, her black and white coat always shimmering with beauty. One day I would be as good as her, maybe then I would finally get a decent reputation. For now I would have to stick with being a shadow and doing the dark jobs assigned to me, thats the thing about me.

I am a member of the famous "Dark Revoloution" it's I guess what you would call a guild. A guild of assassins that is.

I stood in the bottom floor of the central tower of the mages guild I had been assigned a great task and it would need tremendous skill at sneaking around. As to how I got here I remember as if it were yesterday.

Flashback
The wind howled through the moonless night sending leaves skittering over the ground, there were many creatures with dark intentions outside on this night. Including myself. A young doe walked the cold stone ground her dainty ears flicking catching the smallest of noises, her movements were graceful yet careful. I followed with ease keeping to the darkest of shadows where even the glowing blue shards that adorned my body were shadowed.

The moment she veered off of the stone path I pounced with deadly finesse. I snapped at her throat letting her precious life blood spill and stain the grass a deep shade of red, "there it is done" I muttered, I hoped there was a pool of water around somewhere. I really hated the taste of blood it was so metallic like eating rust not that I have ever eaten rust.

"Daaark Shaaard" a voice called the very tone giving me a feeling of being drawn toward its source, a dark purple unicorn stepped out from the trees her face serene and peaceful. "Who are you?" I asked slwoly getting into a ready position easy to flee if the time came, "I am Night Songstress I can grant you your biggest wish all it would take is. One. Simple. Task." she whispered in my ear. "What would you have me do?" I asked softly staring into her seemingly endless onyx eyes, "perfect, now my little dark one, all you need to do is bring me the black crystal that is sealed within the mage tower" she purred in my ear.

Flashback End
Looking around I saw no one but myself, with a smirk I stepped onto the portal and let it transport me up a floor, I looked round once again and then made my way over to the next portal. I stepped down from the portal and knew I had to be extremely careful, the arch mage herself was sleeping on a bed right in front of me, now where is that crystal? I pestered myself

Personality:
Dark Shard has always been a dreamer. Dreaming that one day he will fly as great as his idol the pinto pegasus. Glimmer Heart. He dreams of the day when he will finally reach the clouds and sit triumphantly atop them looking down at all who doubted him. Dark Shard can be quite hard hearted sometimes especially when hes doing a contract. Dark can easily be swayed sepcially by the dark unicorn Night Songstress, all it takes is a simple whisper in his ear with her beautiful voice and he's wrapped around her hoof.

A dark coat blends with the shadows.
While the blue shards embedded within.
Glow with a light that will never go out.
The songstress will stop at nothing.
Until he is under her power.
Until his life spark fades to a tiny shard.
