I would like to adopt!
Number: 5
Picture: Image

Name: Tocoulu
Species: Smili
Personality: Tocoulu is wild and brave. He fears nothing and is a proud and fierce fighter. He is angered easily.
Likes: Fights, mountains, prey
Dislikes: Cowards, water
Background (Optional, but it gives you a better shot. 2500 words maximum, 100 words minimum. We value quality over quantity, you can have five pages and still say absolutely nothing.)Tocoulu was taken as a kit to warrior, one of the select smilis to get trained by him. This warrior had once been the most fierce in the land. With the warrior, he learned to hunt and fight, having no mercy on his prey or foes. Many of the other Smilis had dissaproved of this type of training, but his parents had thought that it would teach him to be brave, braver than he already was.As his training progressed, the warrior became more and more impressed, for Tocoulu surpased each one of his classmates with flying colors. He began training Tocoulu to become a Tenai, the elite group of warriors that protected the cherished queen of each tribe. One day, after their training, Tocoulu became angered at the warrior, and went insane with rage. The warrior, who had unknowingly angered him, was taken by surprise when Tocoulu attacked, and soon fell to the young warrior's claw. Slightly calmer but now frightened, Tocoulu fled his tribe, leaving everyone behind. After 2 suns, the warrior wandered into a human camp. They surrounded him, surprised by his bloodied appearance, and were slow to call for back up. Feeling trapped, and afraid of the twolegs, Tocoulu attacked. Although many humans fell to his fury, he was shot with a tranquilizer gun, and driven into the city, to an Adoption Agency, where he was surrounded by the smell of fear and antiseptic. He was given pills regularly, for the twolegs feared that he would escape. Do to the medicine, he was adopted by people, thinking he was a calm, loving pet, and then returned because of his ferocious nature. Then one day, an adopter came that didn't care if he was wild, was willing to work with him....

I finally finished my form *faints* I hate the last part of the story though. I had to rush it because I'm not getting back from holiday until after the date the forms are collected >.< Ah well, hopefully it'll be good enough.

I am the sword in the darkness.
I am the watcher on the wall
I am the fire that burns against cold
The light that brings the dawn
The horn that wakes the sleepers
The shield that guards the realms of men
For this night, and all nights to come.

'Kill the boy, Jon Snow. Winter is almost upon us.
Kill the boy and let the man be born'

I would like to adopt!
Number: 15
Picture: Image
Name: Arancio (originally un-named)
Species: German Shepherd Mutt
Personality: An intelligent ambassador for his species Arancio, is somewhat of a progeny. He uses his wits to combat any foes, but due to his expanse of knowledge, he is somewhat of an outcast.
Likes:
-Challenging himself and solving problems and puzzles. His favorite sport is shutzhund, the ultimate test in dog protection work. He enjoys the fact that he is somewhat above the law being a protection dog, but he won't tell anyone that.
-Running. Every working breed's favorite hobby, is it not? Arancio is still a pup and even a master of the mind has to relent to puppyish behavior!
Dislikes:
-Egos. Nothing upsets him more than someone with a big ego.
-Sheep. Sheep remind him of people, and he particularly hates them for their mindlessness.
-Precious Metals. When other animals boast jewelry and fine human things on themselves, Arancio can barely contain himself. Gold is probably his least favorite metal of all, he sees it as some sort of bloodstained trophy people feel as if they have to obtain.
Background (Optional, but it gives you a better shot. 2500 words maximum, 100 words minimum. We value quality over quantity, you can have five pages and still say absolutely nothing.) Grime-encrust alleyways and puddles filled with black water surrounded Arancio from birth. Doesn't every orphan come from such a place? Strike one, Arancio was no orphan. His mother was an Akita purebred and his father was a pure German Shepherd. Humans seem to think the best dogs are purebred however and when his mother's owners found out who the father was, they threw her out in a new city, far from their farmland home. In is still unclear what caused Arancio's strange coloring, but his mother claims it was a sign for what he has yet to be. He has np trace of sable or black from his father, nor the soft chocolate brown from his mother. He is an "intricate explosion of the sun's rays." as his mother told him. His mother and he set out one morning to give ARancio the best possible life his prize-winning Akita mother could grasp. they wandered the countryside for many weeks and this is where Arancio learned to hunt. He devised crude traps with the help of his mother, digging half circle pits and chasing rabbits into them. After Arancio had learned his skills in hunting and tracking, his mother led him to the only place she could find and it turned out for the best.
"Pup, today you leave me. A dog belongs with humans, and an odd dog out deserves special humans." Arancio could not have realized what she truly meant when she left him in front of a tall metal door. He figured he'd end up as a show-dog of sorts. Many a human had tried to scoop him up in the alleyways of his early puppyhood. He could not have known that he was being sent to the most punishing, yet rewarding time of his life. As he watched her curled tail bob away through the thick corn fields he scrabbled at the door. A thick human noise came from the other side and it startled him so he growled in surprise. The noise stopped. then the door flew open and the scents of blood, strange salty water humans often coated themselves with, and dogs assailed his nostrils and he squeezed hi eyes shut as he backed away. Trying to cough the scent out he didn't hear the scrambling of metal and when he finally opened his eyes he was staring through metal rungs. He yelped in panic and started screaming for his mother when a clang rattled him to the bone. He fell to his belly as the ground was swept from beneath him and saw the world rushing around him. He was in a cage! Had they not seen his extravagant colors and wonderful coat? Sure, there was some dirt on it, but you could tell he was special!

They arrived at another door and the gruff human unlocked it swiftly and threw it open. A yellow-green light was washed over the room and it smelled so strongly of dogs and dog excrement that it made Arancio’s eyes water. His mother had gotten the buildings confused! They passed rows of empty kennels with tall concrete walls and thick heavy-duty harnesses that could probably hold back a charging horse. He knew were he was, and it send icy waves of doom through his blood. A dog fighting circuit, he knew it. They arrived at a clean concrete kennel and he was placed inside, ignoring the humans grumblings. He waited until he was out of the cage and the human was gone to explore. The kennel was spacious to adult dogs of a large breed, so it was a small house to the little puppy sitting inside. A thick rubber flap was at the end of the cage, next to a hammock-type dog bed. Little did Arancio know how wonderful it was to have such a comfortable place to sleep. The rest of the pen was concrete, from the walls to the floor, lightly stained with dog pee in some places. Arancio wrinkled his nose at that and pressed his head into the rubber flap. It came open and he scented fresh air outside. Those stupid humans left a hole in the wall! His eyes brightened as he jumped through the flap, racing towards . . . a fence? He skidded to a stop. Only to find he was surrounded by a fence on all sides. One cage leads to another here. He found that it always would. He swished his tail and jumped on one of the fence pieces, feeling the crossed metal slide between his paw pads. Suddenly the loudest bark he had ever heard sounded from a little ways away and a mass of muscle and black fur was rocketing towards him, lined with pearly white knives. He yelped and tucked his tail between his legs, backing away. He looked around at the other pens to see that all the other dogs here were made of muscle and has enormous jaws with bone-crushing power behind them.

That was his first taste of the world of dog protection work. He needed no more than a bed to sleep on and a run to rest in, the humans wore him down to a pulp every day. He learned the scents of every illicit power humans could come up with and how to signal when it had been found. He was trained to attack a thick sleeve worn by humans, but in the back of his mind Arancio wanted to sink his teeth into real flesh of those who opposed his masters. He was trained to be loyal to whomever he was eventually going to be sold to and the humans seemed not to care that he was only an 8 month old puppy/ He was a worker and Arancio loved every minute of his duty. But, as with everything we love, you must meet the double edged sword of reality. The humans had been complaining recently and a few of his new friends had heard talk of a wolf rummaging around, causing trouble, supposedly a dog had been killed. The thought of another dog on their rightful turf made Arancio growl. One morning a search party was formed to exterminate the threat, as the wolf had become notorious with farmers by killing off livestock. Arancio knew his masters usually didn’t go hunting with their dogs, but he had seen the wads of smelly green leaves in their pockets after the farmers had barked to them for a bit. So they set off in different directions, each dogs and handler team ready to take the wolf out with an exploding stick, or with force. Arancio found a scent trail and scrambled after it, realizing he had caught a fresh one. Soon they came upon a thicket and Arancio heard the wolf’s breathing. He snarled and barked as loud as he could. Then he heard a startled bark in reply and Arancio charged towards the bush from which it came, seething to clamp his jaws on the creature that had killed a dog from his home. The harness caught him and lifted his front end into the air, but he continued trying to fasten his jaws into something, anything.

His master commanded him to heel and Arancio obediently halted his episode and retreated. Then, a slender fluffy she-wolf emerged from the brush, her chocolate brown eyes stern and wise. Except this was no wolf at all, it was the dog that had birthed him. It was his mother. She had blood trickling from her jaws and seeing that she had caused this trouble sent a bittersweet twang through his heart. Then a deafening clap exploded from behind him and Aracino flinched. His mother’s eyes went wide as she fell to the forest floor, a bullet in her chest. And so Arancio was thrown into the world of heartbreak and betrayal. Also into the pain of regret, for not even being able to say goodbye. He sought to escape this place that he once loved and the only way to go about it was to become disobedient. So he did and just as quickly as he had refused to listen, he was removed, to be sent away from the life he had seemed to be born into.

"(The things that I've loved the things that I've lost
The things I've held sacred that I've dropped
I won't lie no more you can bet
I don't want to learn what I'll need to forget

I like throwing my voice and breaking guitars
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like playing in the sand what's mine is ours
If it doesn't remind me of anything

I would like to adopt!
Number: 3
Picture: raven colored Smili
Name: Kopaki (greek for raven)
Species: Smili
Personality: Kopaki is reclusive smili, rarely venturing out to socialize with others. She prefers to eat small rodents and birds that she can catch easily without having to leave her den for long. Kopaki is not interested in a mate due to a childhood incident.
Likes: Looking pretty and living by herself
Dislikes: Male smili
Background: She lives at the base of a volcano, at the edge of the jungle in which she grew up. The higher humidity, close proximity to ash, and different lifestyle have lead her to have a sleeker coat. Her habitat is the result of her restlessness as a teen smili and she has remained in her childhood home since.
