Species/Breed: Dog/Pit Bull mix

Reason You Want It: I was scrolling down the kennels with no intention of adopting a character and he caught my eye. I just instantly clicked with him. He reminds me of a black Pit Bull puppy my neighbor used to own when I was very small. I loved to go over and play with the puppy until the owner moved away and took the puppy with her. I think that I can give him a loving and deserving home!
Personality
Shadow is a very reserved dog. It takes a lot for him to become comfortable and express his feelings with someone. He is also very kind and gentle. Though, he tends to be a pessimist in most situations. He worries about a lot of things that aren’t necessary. He tries to remain optimistic but sometimes he just can’t help but become in a sad and disheartened mood. He is not one to come to if you are seeking help with personal problems. It doesn’t take much to make him irritated. At times he can be quite shrewd without realizing it. If Shadow is in the right environment he will laugh and have fun though. If you haven’t already guessed, Shadow is very independent. He is very cautious about people and situations. He likes to analyze things before he jumps right into them. The idea of failure scares Shadow. He strongly dislikes violence and likes to keep things peaceful. He often wonders why people won’t mind their own business. He likes to approach things in a civilized manner. Shadow also likes to keep everything around him nice and tidy. He absolutely detests uncleanliness. Shadow likes the idea of being a father someday but is rather a hopeless romantic. He finds talking and being flirtatious with females difficult. He watches Romance movies in order to learn how to be romantic but he just can seem to be what most females prefer, although he tries very hard. Someday he hopes to be a family man.

Background:
Shadow was born a stray in a small town in the state of Minnesota. He was the smallest out of his two brothers and the less favored of his father. His mother showered him with love though. He was very grateful to his mother but grew to dislike his father very much. He recently left his parents and is moving across the states looking for a place that suits his fancy. Nothing very dramatic has happened in his life yet but he is still very young. So there is much more to come.
