Not all is what it seems and pink can hide the truth as well as dreams
A ribbon of pink around her neck declares her style and outlook
But while she likes her pretty scarf the bright aspect of her mind likes more
The enjoyment of outwitting opponents that didn't know she too was a player
In the checked games of wits and might.
The darker color of her coat could show a blandness that fears the bright,
But holds instead a fascination for the night.
She uses shadows instead of light and in their covers can still use sight
To see others flaws that make her strong, give her wings and let's her lead.
Her feminine body might look weak but she has strength keen wits and mind
A dance on the heads of the "strong" who stumble and lunge below her
Gives her paws a slight job while a mind calculates undisturbed above all.
She is the one who sees the night, who tramples might, who knows the right.
she calls herself I, they call her LaLonde.
I decided to write her a poem. I picture her as an intelligent, no-nonsense female with a sharp tounge and quick wit. She runs circles (mentally and occasionally physically) around suitors and males who believe themselves stronger and more capable than herself. She has a soft appearance and an easy beauty that she manipulates others with. She herself ignores appearances because she knows their lies. The pink scarf she wears is both because she likes it and as a reminder to have fun and enjoy life.
In holding with the personality I imagine her having, my form is unadorned (she would only laugh if it had neat boxes and swirly borders.) I hope my idea of her is similar to what you imagined for this dark lovely in her bright pink scarf =D
