Tracker Dog Application Series 11
Username: NativeWolf
Tracker Dog you want: 33
Name you'll give it: Paradise
Reason why you want it: I thought about it for a while and desided out of all the trackers I've applied for so far she was really just calling out to me and I though I had to at least try.
Will it be used in any kind of story? Yes I would be using her in my story Heartfelt

Image

Name: Paradise
Nickname:
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Strait
Age: Her exact age is unknown, but she appears to be younger than most.
Parents: Her father was unknown, but when she was very young her mother was breifly viewed before leaving her in capable hands. She was however raised by a mother jaguar who had lost her cubs.
Personality: The best word to describe this little girl is funloving. Paradise wants to just run and chase things till she's out of breath and act crazy while Eina laughs at her. She is all too willing to please and work hard. Paradise is quiet low matinence, only requiring a little attention, a healthy diet, and exercise.
Diet: Paraise is very active so she requires a lot of food everyday to keep up her energy. One bowl of food in the morning and one at night will help to keep her active. A little snack in the afternoon helps as well. Her main food source is beef or deer meat, but she can eat berries and fruit as well. Table scraps are not usually given to her since they are not very healthy. Her absolute favorite is green apples and would do anything for one.
Favorite Things: Paradise loves to chase the animals around Heartfelt, even if they don't love it so much. She adores Eina and Symfeara her owners. Green apples are her favorite treat and lots of other sour fruits.
History: Paradise was found in a tropical rain forest by Symfeara who gave her to Eina as a companion.

Intro:
The warm tropical breeze blew softly through Symfeara's golden hair. She loved this part of Heartfelt because of its warm climate it made her feel amazing. She closed her eyes for a few moments to drink in everything around her. The tropical song birds sang out in beautiful harmony. The air tasted of rain and all the plants around. The earth under her bare human feet felt soft and moist as the dirt shifted under her weight. Symfeara yawned feeling the tension leaving her body. A growl next to her made her open her eyes and look to her right. Skylark stood next to her a pretty smile on her fuzzy jaguar face. Skylark had been through a lot in the past few months, her 2 new cubs had been killed by poachers, leaving the gorgeous mother in a dark state. Skylark seemed happy now however and Symfeara felt her heart warm to see her this way. For a time Symfeara had been worried she would never be right again and so she decided to come check on her today. Skylark purred and rubbed her face against Symfeara, who wrapped her in a huge hug. A little movement caught Symfeara's eye and she pulled away from the hug. Behind Skylark was what looked to be a young cub sitting in the shade of a fern. Symfeara gave Skylark a puzzled look, Skylark had lost her cubs Symfeara herself had seen it. So what was she doing with another one? Symfeara crept toward the bush and lifted up the leaves. It wasn't a cub at all, but a small tracker dog. Symfeara smiled and turned to Skylark. "Hey now silly girl, this isn't a cub. It's a small tracker dog, now you don't want that as your baby." Skylark blinked at Symfeara and purred. Symfeara laughed at the look on her face. The tracker looked up at Symfeara and yipped and Symfeara only shook her head. Picking up the tracker Symfeara led them both back to the palace. Eina met her at the entrance both surprized to see them all and overjoyed to see Skylark. She rushed forward to hug the jaguar and meet the tracker. It was apparent by the way the tacker both licked Eina and tried to wiggle into her arms that it wanted to be with her.
"Symfeara can we keep her please." Symfeara smiled at the two of them now playing on the grass as the sun set. Skylark purred and rubbed against Eina like she agreed. Symfeara sighed giving in, and who could really resist three adorable faces all giving the puppy dog look. "Fine, but she's your responsiblity." Eina beamed "I'm gonna call you Paradise how does that sound?" The tacker yipped and ran in circles.
The two of them ran off together to spend the rest of their days that way.

Tracker Dog Application Series 11
Username: TheGreenHero
Tracker Dog you want: 34
Name you'll give it: Starscream
Reason why you want it: I love his design <3 It kind of reminds me of the jungle, but different color scheme.

Will it be used in any kind of story? Possibly
Describe its personality:
Starscream is a rebel, he always was.
He prefers not to stick to the status quo, but to live on his own and by his own rules.
He rarely listens to anyone other than his handler.
Although, if you can look past his tough and loner-type exterior he's extremely loyal to his handler, his one and only friend. (Although he would say "Ally")
He loves to be just on the wild side, not so much as to stand a mile out from the crowd and prefers to work behind the scenes. (Hence his darker colors and his preference to the silent of night)
His favorite season is Autumn and his favorite time of day is in the dead of night, when the world is sleeping.
Starscream is a fighter through and through and adores a good battle here and there.
He's also very headstrong and independent, refusing any offer of help from his friends/allies/colleagues etc.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
*Note* This is set in District 11 of the Hunger Games Series*

Under the cover of the quickly darkening twilight, a lone figure roams the streets of the District.
The rest of the mammoth population of District 11 is fast asleep, in huts and houses abound.
He looks up and sees the girl. She's there every night. Quickly making his mind, he hurtles away at a speed any hovercraft would be hard-pressed to match.
A single girl waits, staring at the tiny black comet sprinting towards the safety of the forest. Her bright amber eyes peer out in the deepening darkness, but her heart already knows it. He's gone. The one thing she looked forward to seeing every night...
She knows he only comes out at night. She's never seen him at the broad daylight the District is known for.
She's secretly named him Starscream, although she knows the strict laws of the Distric would never allow for her to keep him.
No matter, she still can secretly love him in the bottom of her heart.
Her eyes dart to the ground. She sighs, hunching her shoulders and meandering back to her home.
...
"Melody! Melody!" The fierce whispers of her older sister, Rue, snap her daydream in half. "Let's go! It's almost curfew!"
Melody sighs and turns to her sister. Bright amber eyes so like her own gaze back in her own. "Fine. Let's go..." She gazes back at where Starscream last was.
"What are you looking at? Melody, you have to stop dreaming. The Capitol won't like that. Let's go!" The last word is repeated with urgency.
"Fine." Melody turns and follows Rue to their tiny hut.
...
Starscream keeps running until he hits the fence separating the District from the forest.
He stops to pant and rest, knowing he doesn't have too much time; The peacekeepers in their guard towers will at some point notice him. So, he pauses to lick his foot, and moves on to the most suburban part of the District.
Glancing to each side for human action, he sneaks down to the vendor's market.
A single stall is still open, a shabby man behind its worn wooden counters.
Starscream becomes one with the shadows, leaping forward to claim some of the precious loot the stall has to offer.
He leaves the man looking very flabberghasted in his wake.
...

WIP for now...will finish later tonight.

Let's see. I'm not really the best with describing how I feel, but I'm gonna try! x3
Where to start... Well, I think the reason I want him the most is because it feels as though he was made for me.
I know that sounds cheesy, kind of like I pulled it out of some stupid love novel, but I feel as though it's true.
I kind of freaked out when I saw him on the screen and literally, squee'd.
You know that kind of 'AIEEEEEEEEEEEE!' sound?
Yeah, that. XD
My dad almost fell off of his chair I screamed so loud.
He was like "WHAT!?"
I was like "He's so perfect!! <3"
My dad was extremely confused. I think he might be filling out paperwork for putting me into a mental institution. Hahaha.
I like the way he's colored also.
His softer colors help the brightness of his eyes stand out all the more, and the stripes on his back really draw your attention.
They're sort of the center piece to the whole Tracker.
He seems to be a Tracker custom made for me, and I absolutely love him!
The other Tracker's you've made that I tried for had the same kind of connection, but his seems the strongest of them all.
Everything about him just draws me in and keeps me hooked!

✗ Wíll It Bє Usєd In Anч Kínd Of Stσrч?: ✗

I'll probably expand his introduction into a longer story, but I don't have a lot of computer time.
I'll try my best though. :]

- Secondary coat to keep him dry for long periods of time while submerged; Secondary coat repels moisture and keeps him warm, so as not to get hypothermia in colder waters.

- Smooth, soft coat with a slightly oily appearance and texture; Most likely has extra oil glands just under the secondary coat to keep his fur from getting bogged down and slowing him in faster-paced missions.

- Larger lungs so he can stay submerged for longer periods of time; The longest amount of time he can stay submerged before serious internal damage is 10 minutes

- A rudder-like tail that is, obviously, used for maneuvering easily through the water and helping him make sharp turns without a whole lot of effort.

- Multiple fins on his legs and back that also aid him when swimming. They catch currents to propel him forward and also help him steer himself along with his tail.

-Webbed feet; Made for helping him keep his grip on slippery river beds. They also spread out to keep him from sinking to far into the river bed.

-Tall, pointed ears; Usually held above water to be able to hear things while submerged. Hearing is far greater than that of a human or any regular dog.
** Tall ears aid in spy missions for gathering intelligence without being seen

Pastello is a major attention hog. He hates to be outshone by other Trackers, and doesn't work well with others at all. Most of the time he's kept separate from other Trackers because he's prone to getting into fights. Being the center of attention all of the time is when makes him happiest, but he won't follow your orders just because you give him the most attention. Most of the time, he ends up getting attached to people who give him the most love and attention, but he won't obey them.

Because children are always giving him tons of attention and love, he has a fondness for them. Sometimes his trainer will take him to childrens hospitals to cheer up the patients and play with them. He loves to let children ride on his back and play games with him. Because he's so fond of children, he tends to be protective of him and will always jump to a child's aid. If a child is crying or upset, he's always there to comfort them and help them out.

Pastello is easily excitable, and tends to over exaggerate things. He might have been swimming and seen a fish 2 feet long, but when he tells it to you, it was 5 feet long... Then 7 feet... and so on. Usually, he gets excited over everything. Not excited-happy, but excited-jumpy. He is never to be given sugar, as that just makes everything worse, plus there's always the problem of dealing with a Tracker that just crashed off of a sugar-high.

I guess you could call Pastello bi-polar. He switches from one mood to the next with little to no warning. One moment, he might be laughing and having fun, the next he might be sad and quiet. Nobody can seem to figure out why he's this way, but he's a great Tracker no matter what mood he's in. He always feels bad when he gets angry at someone for no reason and is always apologizing for his mood swings.

Pastello is very loving and playful, gladly romping around with his trainer all day. Of course, he had been known to pull pranks and joke around with his trainers as well. Anything that could be classified as 'fun' is ok in his book. Any kind of game, or trick is what he loves best. I think this love for fun was developed when he was around the small children. Of course, kids love to play games, and he just developed a love for them too.

Most of the time, Pastello may come off as hard-working because of his one-track mind. He becomes so focused on a mission, that he looks like he takes it very seriously. In all reality, he just focuses so hard on doing things right that he becomes very focused. He can put his mind to anything, and not stop until he does it. It's really a remarkable trait for him to have, seeing as he would love nothing more than to laze around the house all day.

Pastello slid silently into the biting cold of the river. His paw-pads froze in the cold water, but he didn't mind. He was on a mission, and nothing could avert him away from his goal. The ripples that splashed against his pointed ears and ruffled his fur slowly told him that his target was in the stream. A toothy grin spread across his muzzle as he broke the surface.

His trainer squealed with delight as the large, playful Tracker rose out of the water and splashed her with freezing cold droplets of water. Seeing the toothy grin on his face, she laughed and tackled the dog, rolling him over in the water. They had played this game many times before, but she never grew tired of it. When the Tracker's water-logged face reemerged from the stream, his face was suddenly very serious.

Pastello's ears twitched around, trying to locate the sound. He could swear that he had heard a child's cry just as he had resurfaced. Nothing bothered him more than an upset child. Scenting the air carefully for the smell that all children carried, a milky-sweet smell that he could never find anywhere else, he narrowed his eyes. He had caught the scent, but it was also mixed with the child's fear-scent. Without any warning, he took off after the scent. He loved his trainer, and always wanted to obey her, but this was something he just couldn't wait for.

The trainer's eyes widened and she took off after the head-strong Tracker. In minutes, she was panting, and so was Pastello, but he looked as though he wasn't stopping until he found what was bothering him. She sighed and slowed to a jog, he breathing ragged. She had to run at full-tilt just to keep sight of the Tracker. As soon as she slowed, the dull coloring of Pastello's pelt and his quick pace soon took him out of her sight.

Pastello noticed that his Trainer wasn't behind him anymore, but the child was so close he could hear it's ragged sobbing close by. He scented the air again and trotted along, finding himself by the river again. He was much father upstream and there were rocky banks surrounding the river up here. In the tall banks, there were little cracks and crevasses that could easily hold a child. His ears swiveled as he tried to locate the child.

The trainer crashed through the undergrowth and back onto the riverbank. Spotting Pastello with a determined look in his eye, she caught her breath and let him search. He was looking for something, obviously, but she had no idea what. Suddenly, over the sound of the river, she heard a whimper. It was unmistakably human and sounded like it belonged to a young child. It clicked in the woman's head and she smiled. The only thing that could pull Pastello from her side was a child in pain.

Pastello stopped in front of a particularly large crevasse and peeked in. His eyes were meant to see in dark and murky waters, but they worked well in the dark too. He spotted a child, no doubt under the age of 6. She was dirty and her clothes were ragged. To Pastello, it appeared that she had been living by this river for a while. She squeaked in surprise at the Tracker's sudden appearance, but Pastello just walked in and huddled around her, soothing her sobs until they reduced to hiccuping breaths. He nudged her to her feet and helped her out of the crevasse.

The trainer smiled when Pastello returned with a ragged looking little girl clutching onto his fur. Her little fingers were hanging on tightly, like her was a stuffed animal she just couldn't let go of. The Tracker looked relieved and the trainer picked the girl up. "What's your name, honey?", she asked gently, but the girl only whimpered and the trainer set her beck beside Pastello. After a few moments of quiet, she turned to the trainer and said, "My name is Raven Monroe.". She said it softly, as if the slightest noise could trigger something terrible.

Pastello licked her face, cleaning the dirt and grime off. Raven giggled and held onto the Tracker's fur firmly, but gently so she wouldn't hurt him. To the trainer, she appeared to have a very good sense of how to treat animals for a girl so young. After a moment, the woman's eyes widened and she pulled up a picture of a 'Lost Child' flyer she had saved on her PDA. "You're the lost little girl from all of the posters around town." She said, picking the girl up. Raven nodded and wiggled out of the woman's arms, returning to Pastello's side loyally. "Mhm. I got lost in the woods out behind my momma's house a while ago and I couldn't find my way back..." She said sadly, stroking Pastello's head gently.

The trainer nodded and grabbed the girls hand. She called for Pastello, who came without hesitation. When they returned to the woman's car, she helped Raven into the back seat and Pastello jumped right in.
They drove to the police station in town and identified the girl. Her parents were called and she was rushed to the hospital to get checked over to injuries.

Pastello and his trainer came and visited the girl every day until her release from the hospital. Raven and Pastello seemed to be very close, and one time when his trainer was trying to get Pastello to leave the room, he had pulled away from the woman's grip stubbornly and returned to Raven's bedside.

-------- 2 weeks later ---------

When Pastello and his trainer came to visit the girl for the last time, his trainer could not get him to move. Raven had been sitting in the lobby, waiting for her parents to finish the paper work when Pastello and his trainer had walked in. The woman and Raven began to chat briefly and Pastello set his head on the girl's lap. Raven smiled down at him and grabbed onto his fur as she had in the woods when she had been found.

After about a half an hour, Pastello was still sitting loyally beside the girl, his head in her lap. The trainer had called and called for him to come, she had tried pushing him across the floor, pulling him by his front paws, but nothing would get him to budge. When his trainer had finally gotten his leash from the car and hooked it around his neck, Raven had burst into tears. She wrapped her arms around Pastello's neck and looked up at the trainer. "Please don't take him. PLEASE!" She wailed. Hearing the commotion, her parents had come over and tried to coax her off of the Tracker, but she refused. She and Pastello sat firmly beside each other, looking up at the parents and the trainer.

Sighing, the woman looked over at Raven's parents. "I'm really sorry about this... He's never disobeyed me once, but he seems to have become very close with Raven here..." She muttered. The parents nodded and motioned for her to come talk with them privately.

When the three of them returned, the trainer nodded and smiled at the two. "Yes, he's up for adoption at the Tracker lab, I was just his trainer to see if he could handle being around humans. Some Tracker's aren't that good with people, and end up being put down. He has passed, but I was just keeping him until the adoption next Friday. You should come see." The parents nodded happily and thanked the woman. Raven was coaxed off of Pastello, and the two families parted ways.

Next Friday, at the Tracker adoption, the parents showed up just as they had promised Raven, and she ran through the doors. Ignoring the security guards around the pens, she pulled the door open and clung onto Pastello's fur. The Tracker's rudder-like tail wagged furiously and he licked her face. The parents beamed down at her and grabbed the clipboard with the form for adoption attached to it. They took their time filling it out, every now and then looking over at Raven and Pastello, who were playing happily a few feet away.

When the form was done, they handed it to the lead scientist. Her name tag read 'Nex, Lead Scientist and Creator of Tracker Dogs'. She looked over the form and nodded enthusiastically. "I have plenty more forms to look over for this Tracker, but good luck to you. The winner will be announced at the end of the day." She explained, walking off to look at other forms.

Hours later, Nex reappeared after hours of considering forms. She looked bedraggled, but her voice was firm and happy. "The winner of Tracker number 35, Aquatic Tracker named Pastello is... The Monroe Family." She said brightly, handing Pastello's leash to Raven's parents.

Raven held tightly onto Pastello's fur, petting his ears gently and smiling brightly. It was one of the best days of her life, and her new beginning with Pastello.
