Dear Nex,

do you like to read the stories right away or do you look at them on the set date so people can make changes?

Do we need to post that we have made changes?

Do you take off a lot of points if we switch words and such?

It depends. If there are a lot of stories, I read the finished ones a few days before the final date.

No, you don't need to post that you've made changes.

Not really, no.

Username; Ikaaaaaaaaa.
Number; #33.
Name; Natara.
Reason I'd like her; I've been stalking the Tracker Dog thread for a while now, but I've never really seen any I've instantly 'connected' with. That is, untill I saw Natara. She's beautiful- stunning- and I'd be honoured to have her and love her. I would write about her [She'd be the main character in a short story I'm writing] which I can PM you chapters of, once they are done. Overall, I immediately fell in love with her. Thank you for considering my form <3

Will She Be Used In A Story?; Definately. As I mentioned above, Natara would be the protagonist of a series of short stories, which I can PM to you if you want to read them.

Personality;

Natara is for the most part a friendly, outgoing Tracker, who gets along with just about anyone. She is open minded and not very judgmental and, so it is unlikely she will simply turn another away or down based on first impressions. She calculates and analyzes, using her intelligence and heightened senses, and above all common sense before deciding if another is worthy of being a friend or, is a lost cause and, considered and enemy. It may seem like an overbearing process but, it really is not--she doesn't take long to make her decisions, especially if they are situations that are not complicated. The more intense they are, the more she will diagnose it, for she does not believe in jumping into something serious without giving it much thought. What she considers serious is fights, wars and love, or anything that involves a serious physical or mental connection. She won't dive straight into it with teeth and claws flying or give her whole heart away at first glimpse.

It is both a downfall and, an advantage that she treats serious things this way. The downfall is that, she gets hurt because, she doesn't reveal how she feels right away and, she may come across as uncaring or lazy. She could possibly offend others or appear aloof, perhaps, even dare I say cold and, potentially loose friendships and or relationships. This has happened to her before and, it has wounded her deeply so, anytime she feels as though she might be tarnishing a relationship, she can become reclusive and, even lash out. When she does lash out, she will become very defensive--argumentative and even physically violent such as nipping or full out attacking. She may also turn into herself, becoming very quiet--she is in a sense boiling on the inside and, is merely waiting for another to tip the scale and, cause her to explode.

Natara's advantage is just the opposite of the downfall and, that is, that because, she doesn't react quickly, she will not get herself into sticky situations and, get looked down on because, she did not think before she reacted. Being cool headed and, calmly calculating a situation tends to make better impressions on others than snapping into something at the blink of an eye and, flying into rages or attacks without gathering all the information beforehand. Luckily, she seems to have a healthy balance [she seems to calculate things in a respectful manner or amount of time] and, this spares her from getting put into the bad spotlight and, more often than not she is respected for her decisions. However, she is no perfect and, does make mistakes in her calculations. She takes this to heart, scrutinizing herself to the point where she becomes paranoid, anxious and, not exactly fun to be around for she can become unruly--emotional and rather. stubborn and vehement.

Overall, she is moderately laid-back and loves to use her mind instead of her body to get about life. She is friendly, loves to laugh, play and even frolic on occasion with those she considers her friends. She is a good listener and, gives fairly decent advice and, is often the one others will seek for guidance. However, she has her dark side [As does everyone] that will come out when provoked or the right situation come into play or just the right type rubs her the wrong way.

Introduction;

The silken hued Tracker moved through the trees at a rather leisurely pace. She was in absolutely no hurry to get anywhere, plus it was dark out, meaning she'd have more trouble manoeuvring through the shrubbery with her thick pelt. If she'd been a thinner Tracker, maybe she wouldn't have cared so much, she probably would have run through these woods without so much as a care, but as it were, she was too big of a target, and would no doubt run face on into a tree. Her golden pelt flickered in the light, the dapples mingling smoothly with her surroundings. The forest was almost dead black, and she was almost blind in it. Because of this, her progress was slow, she was relying mainly on her nose and ears to make her way between the trees, and this was much more difficult than she was used too, sure, using her other senses wasn't that hard, but being robbed of one of your main senses made it hard to concentrate on the others, made you almost feel panicked. For her, anyway.

Her ears rotated feverishly atop her skull, picking up unimportant little noises here and there like small rodents running through the underbrush, and the rustling leaves as the wind blew by. It was fall now, and the sound most prominent to her was the crunching leaves beneath her paws. This sound was annoying, it broke the silence too loudly and it frustrated her, made it hard to hear the other noises around her. Not to mention that it would announce her location to any other creatures which might be lingering near by. She finally picked up on another sound, the sound of running water. This peaked her interest greatly. Where there was a river, or stream, that meant there was less or no trees. She would feel safer there, more out in the open, yes, but she was still under the cover of the blackness, and her beautiful pelt blended in relatively well with the shadows. She would be out in the open, more exposed to wildlife, but less exposed to the threat of the trees.

Her pace quickened a fraction as she headed toward the sound of water. She could smell the water now, that was good, that meant she was almost upon it. She finally found his way out of the trees, and she came to an abrupt stop. She was out in the open now, yes, but she was still relatively safe under the dark sky. It was a bit brighter out here, because there were no trees to shade in the ground, but it was still black. She could see the reflection of the stars glinting off the water's running surface, and this calmed her slightly. The sky was clear, stars twinkling down at him from everywhere, it was a pretty night, although the air was nippy and somewhat frigid. That was autumn for you, though.

Her pelt had thickened a good deal since the summer, filling out around her neck and sides, but the air was still cool, even with the extra protection. The wind was a little less tolerable, it would come in unannounced, clawing bursts, trying to sink it's claws into the flesh beneath her coat. It was chilly, but it was still manageable. Winter wasn't upon them quite yet. Natara moved toward the water slowly, lowering her head toward the rushing current. She could dimly make out her own reflection on the moving surface, although it was hardly more than a large black shape blocking out the pretty night sky. She hovered her muzzle just above the water, then allowed her tongue to move in rapid sessions, barely breaking the water's surface as she lapped up the cool liquid. She hadn't exactly been thirsty, but she decided he would have a drink while the opportunity was before her.

She finished her drink, tongue running across the ridges of her muzzle to clean off the droplets of water which clung to her fur and whiskers. She wasn't sure what she was going to do now, she hadn't planned this far ahead. Maybe she would just scout out a place to rest now, to was nighttime, after all. A yawn cracked upon her muzzle as the thought, but she ignored it and started forward again, along the bank of the lake. She could feel the sandy ground mushing between the pads of her feet, and she could feel the annoying debris clinging to the damp fur there. She ignored this too, and continued on her way, still searching to make out some sort of shapes in the darkness. She continued on, her conciousness drifting off into her head at this point, thoughts wandering to far away places and people.

She had been moving for quite some time before she was finally roused from her wandering thoughts. A voice rang out through the darkness before her, and Natara stopped dead in her tracks, the fur at her nape standing on end. She whipped around fiercely, trying to locate the origin of the voice. Finally she saw it, a white form not too far in the distance. The only reason she ever saw the shape was because it was the only white object around, and no matter how dark it was, white was a difficult colour to camouflage into the darkness. Natara's nerves were on end now, but she proceeded toward the ivory shape with slow, weary steps. The scent of another was coming to her strongly now, and she didn't know why she hadn't noticed it before. Too deep into her head, as always, she assumed.

As she neared the other Tracker Dog laying on the ground, she took in it's features- It was a small Tracker, much smaller than herself, half the size, if not less. But it was a male. This confused her for a moment, a male Tracker who was smaller than most of the females he'd encountered. Strange. But not unheard of. Natara cleared her throat upon approaching the male, although she knew her presence was already known, seeing the ivory Tracker had previously addressed her with a nod. "Hello there," She started, a little unsure of herself. "I didn't notice you sitting over here, you startled me a bit." She offered the stranger a small, quick chuckle, a comical smile placing itself upon her muzzle. She had been startled by this little Tracker? Well, she hadn't known the size of the him when she had spoke. Natara shook her head, clearing the thoughts away. "I'm Natara, might I ask what you're doing on such a cold night?"

Tracker Dog #33 I Available until March 31st
Gender: Female
A Tracker that'd be well fit for tropical climates. Originally made to patrol the borders of reserves and stop poachers, yet she can do more than that. She's exceptionally good at seperating friend from foe, even if both carry weapons. Although she looks very fuzzy, her coat isn't actually that thick, and she won't overheat too easily when running while it's hot outside. She does like to sit in the shade during a break, though.

Design was suggested by my friend, she helped me create this one.

Tracker Dog you want: #33

Name you'll give it: Sahara

Reason why you want it: Seeing this girl, I knew that she was just perfect. Since I was very young, I've always loved animals in all their different forms. Someday, I hope to start an animal shelter or work as an environmentalist. Just like her, I would love to defend against the horrible poachers that decide to illegally kill animals. I love to run around outside, especially in natural areas. She seems to reflect me a lot, and I am absolutely in love with her colors.

Will it be used in any kind of story? I would absolutely love to write a story about Sahara. She is such a unique character, she would be perfect to work with. I love the idea, and have been waiting a while now for a tracker dog that seemed to spark something in me.

Describe its personality: Sahara can be shy and quiet, but once she opens up, she's fun-loving and quite unique. She is quite creative in developing plans, and is a natural leader. She is a friend of all, stopping at nothing to protect those she cares about, which often also tends to be the animals of Africa. She believes in living life happy and well while you have it, not spend it worrying about what could be. She would risk her life willingly to save another, and has good intentions.

Despite her good quatities, she is not perfect, just like anyone else. She has trouble voiceing her opinions at times, and has a bit of a temper. She is quite competitive, which drives her to do well, but can also be overbearing. She is not used to failure, and takes it hard when it does come. She can be a perfectionist with herself at times, and naturally enjoys being to herself. She can appear withdrawn, which causes her to be seen by many as somewhat anti-social. It can be harder for her to make friends, but keeps the ones she makes very close. She is not quick to trust anyone, but almost gets vibes about people. She can, in a way, feel what a person may be like. She is slow to give complete trust to someone, and rarely fully trust anyone. She often expects people to have devious drivings. She can be secretive, and keeps her knowledge to herself, but loves to share it with others who seek it. Those who know her see her as a crazy, unique, hard-working individual, who loves herself and others. She is positive, motherly, and quite forgiving (sometimes too forgiving) of others.

Sahara loves getting dirty and watching others. She can run quite fast, and is an expert with grace and balance. She climbs the few trees she finds in the desert areas, and florishes in the wooded habitats. She enjoys feeling connected with the air and sky. She can see the beauty in natural things, understanding the complexities it takes to create everything. She loves children, and takes a liking to those willing to learn. She has the tendency to be somewhat maternal towards others, feeling the need to guide them at times. She understands their conflicts and can sympathize how they must feel.

At times, Sahara can have a temper, though. She gets annoyed with plain rude or immature people. At times, she can be snappy and cold towards those she dislikes. She can hold her place in an argument, especially with topics she feels strongly about. However, she is always open to the ideas of others and learns from them. She doesn't like certain foods, and can be picky, but will eat what comes in the desert. She loves experimenting with new ideas and objects, and has an open mind.

She is defiantly a complex tracker, but a great one nonetheless.

Write an introduction for your Tracker: The crisp moon shone fully in the cool night sky, painted the color of the desert sand. Sahara padded slowly, allowing the breeze to run fingers through her dappled fur. She contemplated the problems of the world, wondering if there was a way to change. A moth fluttered out of the waving grass, its white wings streaking the night sky. She decided that problems must be inevitable. She carefully wove her way through the savannah weeds, almost silent. Taking a deep breath of the now cool desert air, she gazed at the ebony cloth that streched across the plains above her. Little speckles of stars clustered across the sky, swirling together so brightly, it almost took her breath away. The night was brightly lit, and gazing around at her surroundings, the place she loved, she felt joy well up inside her. With all the happiness of her heart, she shot off into a sprint, racing with the wind across the landscape. She listened to the quiet snorting of desert animals and the chirp of crickets as the called into the night. Her heart thudded with the elation of life, of spirit, of everything being fine. She would claw her way out of the deepest trenches life had to offer, and do it with a smile every time.

She began to slow down, feeling herself pant. The night was still, clouds washed in thin blankets over the expanse of the sky. In the distance, Sahara picked up the deep, husky breaths of wildebeests resting in the night. She trotted on, jumping her way up a slight hill that carved its way into the sky. A smile streached across her face, sightless eyes would have lit the night. Atop the hill, she streatched up on her back legs. Pawing at a passing leaf that fluttered through the air.

Suddenly, she picked up a scent that set her skin crawling. It washed completely over her, traveling on a wind from the west. Her joy was cut from her. She lowered her paws to the ground, feeling them stir the dust of the savannah. Feeling anger flash inside her, she broke into a run, allowing her legs to carry her. She ran across the expanse of land, her teeth clamped. Dirt flew up, leaving a trail of fury in the air. She knew the scent all too well; it haunted her. It was the scent of blood, scent of guns, scent of humans, and of death. It was the scent of corruption. She could hear the pained welling cry of an elephant in the distance. Driven by the sound of hurt, she only ran faster. The anger of the humans' brutality, their cruelty, grew inside her until it hazed her thoughts. She felt her heart pound, her breath come slowly. She preferred to hold it, inescapable, trapped.

She came to a clearing that cut its way through the tall grass. She could pick up the sound of the elephant to her right, and by the scents, it had a calf. They brutes had shot a mother. Bearing her teeth, she sprung to the left, opening her mouth to clamp around the throat of the trespassers she was able to sense, but suddenly she stopped. She faltered in the air, thudding to the ground and skidding across the dirt. She picked herself up quickly, startled.

There was a smell, a sound that she didn't believe. It caressed her with such sweet mockery, that she was frozen on the spot. Her breathing stopped. There was another tracker dog with them, a male to be exact, who stood firm, almost laughing at her with his calmness. The humans didn't move, seemingly confident. Sahara hadn't come in contact with another tracker since she was back in training, which was years before.

Even more, the male who stood there now had a familiar scent. It gagged her, and she felt that she might as well be plummeting into the depths of the world. The ground was no longer underneath her, and all the beautiful cresting sounds of the night silenced with her. She tried to mouth words, mumble something out, but she couldn't function. Disbelief shook through her, but the scent, the breathing patterns, the sound of his paws in the dirt, was all just too real.

A smooth, low voice cut slowly into the silence. The sarcasm gripped her soul, mocking her, "Why, Sahara, what a suprise it is to see you here."

Tracker Dog you want: #33
Name you'll give it: B'elana
Reason why you want it: She is really cool and I think she would make a great pet. I would put her in my siggie for everyone to see how awesome she is. I know you will probably give her to someone else, I just thought I'd try to get her, even though she won't become MY best friend, probably someone else's since I won't win.

Will it be used in any kind of story? If I got her, I would probably create a story about her.
Describe its personality: She is loyal to her master. She is a friend and guard. She lives on a tropical island.

Write an introduction for your Tracker: B'elana ran across the beach, the sea breeze whipping her fur. She raced across happily with her master. Suddenly, she froze. A figure was on the island! She raced at him, growling to protect her master and her home. ((I could write more, I have homework to do. :| ))

I walked across
An empty land,
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth
Beneath my feet,
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh, simple thing
Where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when
You're gonna let me in,
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
