((I'm using my old RP charrie, Alex. He's a tall, brown-haired boyish type of guy, who's very into punk & steampunk, as well as just a touch of scene/goth.))

Alex looked up from his book upon hearing the voice of a returning Ahzenai. "Hello! I'm here to find a new companion that can grab my interest. Someone that can support my interests and even would like to join me!" It said before moving off. Alex looked it up and down. It was male, obviously, with an amazing sand colored coat and a pack of.... parts? He shook his head and looked again. Another builder like himself? Alex looked away, back down at his book. He hadn't come for a companion. He was here for inspiration, a new idea for something to build. Every part of him expected to go home alone again, go back to days working and nights building.

Alex sighed. Part of him wanted to go and talk to the Ahzenai. He watched others approach the Ahz confidently and talk to him, all vying for his attention. Alex tried to focus back on his book, but it was in vain. His thoughts kept drifting to the Ahzenai. He could hear others passing talking of the Ahzenai. "Clockwork is amazing, I really hope he chooses me," one said. Clockwork? Alex looked back, spotting him lying down and messing with the parts he had been carrying. Clockwork, he thought. Part of him wanted to go and meet this new character, but the fragile part of him refused.

Alex read a few more pages before he closed the paperback book with a huff. Alex sat and stared at Clockwork for a few minutes, trying to make up his mind. Risk it or not try. He'd left so many things alone when he could've tried and later regretted it; this could be just another on a long list. The young man looked Clockwork over once more from under his brown bangs, which partially covered his left eye. Suddenly Clockwork looked up and their eyes met, pale gold to bright green, and that brief moment made Alex decide that it would be worth trying.

The tall boy stood up and slowly sauntered over to the Ahzenai. "You've had a lot of suitors, you're very popular." Alex said. "I guess I might as well extend an offer to you also, because I think I can help with your project, and maybe you can help me with mine." Alex sat gracefully beside him and looked up at the sky. "I do live poorly, though, I'm not rich by any means. My father and his brother, my uncle, own a junkyard in a small town though, and they pay me to live in a little shack on the corner of the property and 'guard' it, I guess you could say. I'm sure with a little bit of digging, you could find whatever parts you need. And you'll be more than welcome to use my tools. During the morning I work at a gas station convenience store and in the afternoons I attend an online college for design. Other than that I have most of the day free. I'm typically alone, except for my Xbox friends."

Alex paused for a moment and looked over at Clockwork, whom was still focused on his project. "I'm not quite sure what you're working on, but my current project are a functioning mechanical pair of wings.I've got the structure stabilized, but I can't seem to make the movement correct. It often comes out wrong or sometimes they don't move at all. It's very frustrating." Alex sighed, feeling as though he should shut his trap. "I'll leave you to your project," he said, reaching over and moving one of the pieces that Clockwork had been trying to make fit. The part slid in perfectly, and Alex stood up and walked back to the place where he had been before, finally able to focus on his book once more.

Sum up why you want this Ahzenai:
Well, for one I don't have an Ahz yet and was disappointed when I didn't get Solen, but I've become increasingly fond of steampunk and thought Clockwork would be really cool to try and Woo. I also might make a new RP because I've really missed roleplaying with Alex, but I'm not sure yet. I already have too many RP's and one still to create.

Ok, might as well make it official. :B

First off, my apologies for not posting at all for the last few weeks, schoolwork is piling up as the semester draws to a close. On that note, consider Ahzen to be in a state of hiatus for now.

Secondly, this does not mean that Ahzen will be closed forever. o uo-b I do plan on reopening it either near the end of November or the beginning of December. Clockwork will be judged upon reopening, sorry. ; n;

Thirdly, if I do not reopen this particular thread, I will be continuing the Ahzenai in perhaps a different thread, which will host many different varieties of creatures. o uo-b

Finally, I am closing the store for now, so you will not be able to purchase any more items. All of those who currently have a MLV or a MAL will still be able to use them if customs are opened, or even if I open the new thread.

Alright, so I've put up the last three I have in the 'pot'. They were originally supposed to be released around Halloween, but well that didn't happen.

These will be the last three before the hiatus will officially begin. They will be judged in approximately one week. (clockwork included).

Vūdū

Quietly, and with as much otherworldy grace and reverence that a master of the art of voodoo can exude, a peacock stepped forth from the sidelines toward Xiron. Tarot cards, voodoo pins, and a small doll that looked suspiciously like himself shifted among his feathers as he walked, and, even when he bowed, not one of his many accessories touched the ground.

"Greetings, my fellow being. I am Vūdū... how do you do?" His voice - slow with the hint of this world's Louisiana drawl, broke into a short chuckle at this little joking rhyme, which he had always recited to anyone and everyone that he ever came across. "I come from far away from here, looking for someone like you, someone who might understand, someone who doesn’t want to be seen, or noticed. I can offer you whatever you want, though I cannot give you what you need. I'm a gifted little soul, as far as gifts go, but that's something that those gifts cannot be used for to my... greatest regret."

Easily, Vūdū took to the low branches of a nearby dead tree, his long train of tail feathers flaring behind him. He wasn't quite done attempting to woo Xiron, but he, himself, did not socialize very well. He had spent so much time alone, himself, that it had taken some of his skills away, and he truly needed a friend - one that didn't betray him, preferably.

"I've done a lot of bad things in my life," he began, his accent getting thicker as his voice lowered, keeping it just loud enough so that Xiron could still hear. "I thought I was doin' ‘em good, makin' ‘em happy... but there's something that corrupts it all. Something always goes wrong. And I think it's something wrong with me... my unhappiness is destroying my practice and disturbing my purpose. I ask that you be my companion because... I think you can understand. You hide yourself away from the attention and the eyes of the judging, just as I do, now. And I don't think that it was an accident that I came here, expecting to wait months, or even years... and find you, coming out of the vortex within mere days of my arrival. I need you, Xiron. I need you in order to fix myself. You... you don't need me. But I can offer you anything in return. I will never force you to be around anyone else. I feel a kinship with you, on some deep level... though, you might not feel it with me."

Vūdū sighed, his red-orange eyes surveying Xiron, never once straying from the Ahz’s body. Though he was internally fascinated with the orbs, he knew better than to look at them - though for reasons of his own. He then took one of his necklaces off, one of his many that featured skulls and beads, signatures of his trades, and set it, as well as one of his cards in front of the Ahz's pure white paws.

"Take my card, if nothing else. I... I won't be far."

With that, he bowed, splaying his wings on either side of him, and settled back a short distance, respectfully giving Xiron enough space for the other suitors, as well as space to make his decision. He stared at the ground, unconsciously echoing Xiron's move toward the outskirts, out of the way of anyone else. He didn't want to curse them.

Really. He didn't.

Xiron slipped away from the vortex following his birth and found a secluded space where he could be left on his own. He watched the suitors who did pass him by warily, making sure that his face was always towards them. His gassy element floated ominously behind him, at times seemingly blending into his pure white pelt. What never vanished however and to his disdain were the concentrated orbs of the gas element that floated around him. He did not pay them much mind, but he never truly forgot that they were there and he took great care to be sure they didn't attract too much attention. He just wanted to be left along and if he did happen to cross paths with someone else, he didn't want them to stare at the orbs.

He sighed in relief that he had managed to slink away before Valcyon announced his name. Otherwise, all the suitors would have seen him. In fact because he did leave immediately after being born, he was quite confident that very had seen him at all.

Pandora took a step forward, two born? How odd! I looked at one, graceful and seemed nice but not very suitable. Another full of energy... that one would probably get in the way a lot. I then saw movement out of the corner of my neon blue eyes, I turned my head and said "oh, not two... but three and why does this one avoid attention. Well surely I could answer that myself being one whom shares the same act!" Pandora then flicked her ears after talking to herself for a bit. I took a step towards the creature careful to stay nonchalant and as nonthreatening as possible.

Pandora reached a comfortable distance for both and sat down curling her tail over her paws, careful to avoid making any contact that would make him flee. She only moved her eyes as she took in the features of his face, and only his face.... to search his eyes not to judge. The soul was who you were, not what was on the outside... you could have three heads for all Pandora cared. She then rounded up the urge to try and speak for if any ahzenai would be the companion she wanted... it would be him.

Pandora looked up for the first time since settling down to get comfortable. She only made contact with his eyes as she said "well your name was never said out loud so I don't know what you would like me to call you if you want me to speak to you at all, but... uhm, well I was wondering if maybe you would care to join me on my travels." I gathered more courage after starting to speak and I continued "well, before I go, I must assure you that I am not here to take you and leave you. And I'm not here for looks.... I just thought maybe we could stay together, I hope you accept my offer. And if not, I still wish you the best of life". I dipped my head to him then walked down the place where I had come from, careful to not give away his spot. After restraining myself from looking back I jumped to the low branch of a tree and laid down. Here came the painful wait to find what this ahzenai chose to do.

Autoru yawned, the night before was a tiresome one. We had traveled from the far north to come to the new Ahzenai cave which we had heard so many comments about. It was good timing for us to come now too, because the holidays were coming soon. So if Autoru and i were to find another companion durring our visit we would be able to show them, on our way back, much more than if it would have been on a "regular occation". Not to say that gaining a new companion isn't a special occation in itself. Upon our approach to the mouth of the cave we could hear the familiar noises of which can only be recognized as the signal that the new arrivals have come!

Tugging at Autoru's mane i gasped "We are missing it! come on let's go!" energy coming back to my face from the utter thought and knowledge that Ahz always come in very unique and distinct patterns and elements, you never really know what's going to show up next. Autoru gave a slight smile, showing only slight attempt to to walk faster only to appease me enough to where i wasn't annoying him anymore.

Comming up the the alignment of suitors surrounding the water hole, i made my way to the front watching as each Ahzen was now introducing themselves. There was Elvira and Sererak, but who was that white one? I semi watched as the alibaster figure quickly made it's escape into the shadows, as i was smiling a hello to the other two Ahzenai who seem to have more 'people' skills. After their introduction I couldn't help but wonder about the white Ahzenai. Autoru had seen him too and made a motion in his direction first, he seemed to be as curious about him as well. I smiled to myself and then too followed resting my hand upon Autoru's back as we walked together into the darkness.

Peering ahead, we manuvered around the ominous foliage that made up this new cave, i loved it though it was like going on a mini adventure. Finally seeing a glow, Autoru leapt ahead i snatched onto his tail so i wouldn't loose him as he pulled me along faster. "We finally found you" i looked above to see the beautiful Ahzenai which just peered down at us. "I didn't ever hear your name so that's why we came after you, but you dont have to tell me anything it's cool enough just to be able to meet you."

Autoru stepped closer "im Autoru, Neara's companion, and i'd like to show you something." Autoru opened up my bag, i watched him just as curiously. He came back with a piece of wood. "Oh i know what your going to do" i smiled widely at Autoru, he gave me a gleeful look. Placing the wood infront of Xiron he stepped back, taking a deep breath he blew fire onto the wood as it immediately caught hold and danced upon the bark. I grabbed my flute and began playing a playful uplifting tune. Autoru having different colors in his own plasma element, played with the fire making it shape into different forms and colors, some animals other's cars and planes, explaining what each one was. "These are the many things that lie outside of Ahzen." Autoru explained with great passion. "These you can eat, and these make funny noises, and...." as the wood's usfulness faded Autoru did a finalle where he took some special sand and threw it into the fire making it crackle like fireworks then he blew it out.

"Wow Autoru that was your best yet!" Nodding he turned back to the Ahzen he was presenting for "I hope you enjoyed my impression of the world outside. I also hope you would like to join us on the journeies Neara and i take together.... There are some sights that words just cannot explain and i think you especially would love to see and experience them aswell." "Yes, also the city that we live in is very familiar with unique travelers and residence. There we are all treated the same, seen as who we are and not the power or looks we have.... Oh that reminds me i never showed you." Turning around once i take the form of my regular Wolf form, next to a panther, "I'm a shape shifter." I smile looking up at the white Ahz.

Suddenly, at the same time, Autoru's and my stomach growled loudly. Scratching my head in embarasement i tried laughing it off. "Well, looks like we must get going, it was very nice meeting you... We will be just outside this forest if you ever want to come and talk or just hang out we always bring extra everything for visitors." I wave bye to the Ahz, Autoru gave a gesture that is relevent to Ahzenai body language then followed me out of the forest eager to start preparing breakfast.
