The black Ahz sat on the banks of the lake that surrounded the Vortex. Being by himself, he caught the attention of a few others - a simple glare from him though kept them at bay. Along with the fact that he had a scar running over his eye that left him blind. A minor defect that always made others wary. He - of course - didn't mind. He rather enjoyed the fact that he could send a small spark of fear through anyone.
He couldn't help but smirk at the thought as he adjusted himself and moved his tail closer to him. Keeping his one yellow eye on the water. Silence surrounding him for a moment or two before he began to hear a small rustling sound. His ear twitched towards the direction of it and was soon followed by his eyes. The Vortex. It was spinning. A new Ahzenai was coming. How fun this would be. It would probably just end up being another one of those dainty, joyful kind that loved everyone. Those were the kind he had seen around Ahzen mostly anyway.
He huffed lightly as he stretched himself out into a laying position. Resting his head in his paws - away from the emerging Ahz. It wasnt worth wasting his time on one that was not a challenge for him. He closed his eyes lightly and once again grew comfortable. The sound of the new Ahzenai's name barely managed to catch his attention. A snarl echoed through the air not a moment later. Sending his eyes open and forcing him to lift his head up. His eye quickly went to the new Ahzenai. A wooer had approached him and he had simply snarled in greeting. From the look on the wooer's face, they were slightly afraid.
This peeked Demiscious's interest quickly.
He lifted himself up; back into a sitting position once more as he eyed the Ahz named Maryaeth. Quite the character this one was indeed. His eye then drifted towards the wooer as they slowly backed away and left Maryaeth to stand alone on the land-bridge. Demiscious sent a calculating glare towards Maryaeth before he stood on all fours and slowly began to make his way towards the Ahz. This one was different, and didn't seem afraid to show his dislike towards others, maybe Demiscious would actually be able to have a conversation with this one. A challenge all it's own, but a challenge none the less, and Demiscious loved every challenge that seemed impossible.
"My, my, my. What an impression you've made already. Scared the last one completely." Demiscious chuckled lightly under his breath as he stayed a good distance away from Maryaeth - best to test the waters first. "First impressions are quite hard to erase. Of course, I'm sure you could care less about what others think. I know I do." Demiscious added as he glanced back at some people that remained around the area still. Setting their eyes upon him; looks of uncertainty on their faces. He glared at them before he turned his eye back towards Maryaeth. "With an eye like mine, it's best if I forget they even exist. Either that or I would have to rip their hearts out." Demiscious flexed a paw at the thought and let out a hoarse chuckle. Shaking his head to himself for a moment while he looked at Maryaeth. "I have a little more dignity than that though. You - on the other hand - wouldn't waste a second going for ones throat. A characteristic I happen to quite like." A small smirk formed on his face as he lifted his head slightly higher, watching Maryaeth for a moment before an idea sparked in his head. "What if - and I am simply suggesting - we band together to wreak some havoc? To challenge others and show them that we are better; stronger, faster, smarter." A malicious smile spread across Demiscious's face now as he glanced at Maryaeth. "A challenge that could be conquered quite easily. What with my words and your thirst for blood. It wouldn't be to hard, and the outcome would be a wonderful thing to see." Demiscious spoke as he moved his tail slowly for a moment before it came to rest once more. "Of course, you dont have to accept this offer, besides, you don't seem like the type that would want to have someone near them. Then again, it would be best if you had an ally during a fight. Two is better than one after all. And who wouldn't want someone that they could cause chaos with?" Demiscious questioned as he eyes Maryaeth slightly. "This was just a simple offer though, if you wish to proceed, come looking for me near the waters edge." Demiscious finished as he turned himself to leave. Not even caring to tell the Ahzenai his name or wish him goodbye. It wasn't need though, if Maryaeth wished to accept his offer, then Demiscious would tell him who he was, if not, then it was completely fine. What was the point of telling one your name if there was the possibility they would not even see you again anyway?
Demiscious settled himself down near the waters edge once more and resumed his old position. Not giving Maryaeth another thought, there was no need to. He had done enough, and if the Ahz was was smart enough, he would accept Demiscious's offer, if not, then Maryaeth was a fool.

I can give an extension if I really need to, but I'm hoping everyone can finish up tonight, and I'll get with Onyx and we'll judge either tomorrow or Saturday.
