Over the weekend, you can send your deer out gathering at either the plaza or the fields and if you go to the fields there's a chance your deer will return to you with a child (the activities post has more specific info).

This weekend is special in that a companion can be sent to the fields (if you wish to go to the plaza, send a deer like normal) for a chance to bring home a child (more companions!)
