Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:Well, like all my characters, they will be given a spot on my charrie thread, will be given art and will be found mates/have offspring. These two will be no exception; this is my first couple adoption.
Personality:Prince's PersonalityPrince is magical. He is intellegent, wise, patient, and a good leader. He is intellegent, a fast-thinker. He cares deeply for all of his friends and his family.
On the outside, he is very shy, reserved, but nonetheless loyal to his friends and romantic to his Rose. He walks with a casual air of authority and is generally a listener, not a talker. Many think he is "adorable"... he is very playful by nature.
On the inside, he is frendly, bold, determined, and courageous. He fights for all believes in and has an independent spirit. He is very much musically driven. He loves listening to music and riding to it.
Rose's PersonalityRose is almost the opposite of Prince; she is fiery, aggressive, and sure of herself when it comes to her talents and abilites. She tries to stick herself out there in the big mass of horses, and she is a very good speaker. Rose is a very good swimmer, and is strong enough to pull Prince with her in a swim when conditions are good. Rose also loves being in the spotlight, but only if she very well deserves it, and perhaps if Prince will join her, too. She is a very good friend, a good teacher, too. You can always rely on her to stay by your side. She does seem to exaggerate things and scream out when she doesn't believe what you are telling her, and has a very short temper. However, at the end of the day, she makes a loyal companion and a great pillow to her friends and her mate, Prince.
History:Rose was born on a large Hackney, Saddlebred and Morgan-based farm in Vermont. She was the result of an accident breeding from one of the stallions, Jeremy, at the farm, where her dam, Maria, became in love with him. Jeremy was a bit arrogant; he saw Maria looking at him, and at the moment he got a chance, the deed was done.
Rose was born a summer later, nothing less than a beautiful surprise for her owners. Since she was so beautiful, her owners trained her as a halter filly, planning for to show and make nationals, hopefully to produce her own beautiful foals.
A few months later, Prince was born from a planned breeding. He was a beautiful, blue roan Saddlebred colt out of a stallion named River, and a mare named Queen. He was a very still newborn, so still, they thought he was a stillborn. However, as he grew, he became very playful and lively, but to his parents and caretakers, he was always responsible and gentle.
Not too long after that, the barn went under new management, where the new owner loved driving instead of riding. So, they threw all the yearlings into a pasture, picking the best of the best to become driving horses for festivals, parades, and more. A few of their pasturemates were chosen, and due to contrasting colours, Prince and Rose were taught how to drive as a pair, hitched together all the time.
The two became such legends, they were the barn's mascots, and struted their stuff around multiple horse festivals throughout the world. They brought fame to their new owners.
Future:Rose and Prince eventually retired from driving, becoming a lesson horse for beginner riders. They had a few "accident" (well, that's what the humans called them) foals of their own, and once their foals were sold, they were finally retired out to pasture for good. They both peacefully died on a March day, a sunny spring morning, near a lake in their pasture, where they always wanted to be; together.
I have a story!Song: Kiss
From a Rose by Seal {Info on "Other}
"
There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea."
Rose, in her older form, lifted her stiff, arthritic foot. She was only eighteen, she was, but ten years of driving did a good deal on this horse's body. Her fiery spirit was been put to rest, for the most part, on the outside. With that so, she lifted her head, and sighed. Across the lake was a garden that belonged to their neighbors. With the summer sun, the flowers blossomed.
"You became the light on the dark side of me."Nearby was her mate, Prince. The two has such a great history together. Including a life of what most horses could call fame. So active and strong the two were when they were young.
Prince lifted his head from the sandy river bed, looking at Rose is a deeper, older voice. "Rose, let's go back to the plains."
Rose smiled, picking up her arthritic feet and pracing with her mate towards the softer, greener landscapes.
"But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and
The light that you shine can be seen."Soon, a harsh but beautiful winter came. Prince had a heavy black blanket, and rose has a sage green blanket, thanks to their owners. It gave them the liberty to run, roll around, play, and jump in the snow.
The two had very little interaction with the younger and newer horses, but that didn't matter. It was them, the snow, and the wind.
One sunny winter morning, they trotted on the lake. Against the beautiful lake's frozen core, the light that came upon it shined into Rose's hazel eyes. Prince stopped in surprise, the beauty before him still stunning, even at his age.
