I have two questions;
1. If the species is changeable, does human count? I know it's stupid, but I don't want any angry creators.^^

2. Since there are two common adopts, can the stories entertwine with each other?

I'm not completely sure; but I'm guessing that the answer to that would be 'no.' ^^'

1. Well, technically it should, but I do know that some donors don't see it as being that way. Just to be safe, you may want to PM the donor and check with them.

2. That would be perfectly fine. ^^

That, indeed, would be a no. Since commons have so many more characters, I'm limiting it to just 2 commons. :3

Kennel number:
P1
Name:
Lahir Untuk Alam
Nickname:
Alam
Meaning of Name:
Born to be Wild
Origin of Name:
Indonesian
Breed:
African Wild Dog
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:
WIP
Personality:

Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way

Daredevil: This is probably the best word used to describe Alam. He is daring and adventurous. He will take unnecessary risks, because he believes that he can do anything. He thinks he is cool when he does these stunts. Stunts can range from trying to take on a large pretador, such as a bear, single-handed, or exploring in places he knows he shouldn't. He often gets scolded for what he does, but he doesn't care. He works solo and likes it best that way.. He older dogs think he is reckless and young. They are right.

Yeah, darling
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space

Self-Centered: Alam doesn't mean to be self-centered, it's just how he is. He is very full of himself, believing he can do anything. He is overconfident, and sometimes this can make him seem like a bit of a jerk. He always wants the attention, the spotlight, and this is what drives him to be a risky daredevil. He always wants to be the focus of the conversation, the center of attention.

I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racing in the wind
And the feeling that I'm under

Stubborn: Alam's got attitude. He will talk back to those older and more experienced than himself, and he always likes to be right. He will argue for his point, even when he has been proved wrong. He does not listen to the opinions of others, and is sometimes snappy and rude. It is nearly impossible to convince him not to do something he has his mind set on doing.

Yeah, darling
Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space

Flirtatious: Alam is a lady's man. He loves to flirt with the female dogs. He thinks he is handsome and that all the girls should fall for him. He loves to strut around, trying to get the girls to like him. However, he is not very good at this, and most of the girls just ignore him. This can make Alam very frustrated, but, being as stubborn as he is, he will continue to try.

Like a true nature child
We were born
Born to be wild
We have climbed so high
Never want to die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

I walked across
An empty land,
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth
Beneath my feet,
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Oh, simple thing
Where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when
You're gonna let me in,
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

{| I am looking to adopt and love... |}
{| Picture |}
Image

{| Kennel number |}
P3

{| Name |}
Dusk
(I just couldn't change his name, after all this time.)

{| Gender |}
Male

{| Breed |}
Akita Inu mutt
(Canis lupus familiaris)

{| Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it? |}
I remember when Dusk was first donated, back when PoH was just
starting out, and, back then I just glossed over him. But, in the past
year, seeing him repeatedly ignored, and revamped over and over,
I started to love him, but, week after week, I still found a reason not
to go for him. Now, I have no other reason, and I'm doing what I
should have done long ago: offering him a loving home that this
patient pup so rightfully deserves.

A home with me would mean art when I could get it or draw it myself,
a home on my under construction character site, where he'd have his
own page, with his story and art. He would also have a spot in a currently
untitled story taking place in a dying era of Earth, and possibly carried
through to different stories as well. He will be very much loved.

{| Personality |}
-Naive
Dusk is very trusting, sometimes not noticing the dark motives some
creatures have, which causes quite a bit of problems for this pup. Dusk
has been hurt quite a bit from his naivety, most often being suckered
into feeling sorry for a creature, then taken for everything he has,
despite Labrin's best efforts. Dusk likes to believe the best in everyone,
something that can get you killed in the dark streets of New Orleans in
the 22nd century.

-Empathetic
Dusk feels for everyone, from the smallest bug, to the cruel humans,
often feeling the emotions of the other, from anger to sadness to pain.
Being such a strong empathetic also grants Dusk a special ability, the
same ability Dusk's grandmother, Charlotte, exhibited: the ability to
communicate directly with departed souls, especially the soul of his
other half, Labrin. This ability also tends to get Dusk in trouble trying to
solve the problems of creatures unable to rest. It's not until he meets
fellow empath, Bourdaux, that he starts to learn how to control his
empathetic nature.

-Compassionate
Dusk desires to rid the world of suffering, something his naivety and
empathetic nature feed in to. He is often seen helping other creatures
with tasks they seemingly can't do on their own, like scavenging, finding
shelter, or guarding a "den". Labrin often gets frustrated with Dusk's
compassionate nature, telling him that he is being taken advantage of,
something Dusk refuses to accept. His good heart keeps him from seeing
the truth behind others' actions.

-Accepting
Dusk is quite possibly the most accepting creature in existence.
Prejudice is not in this canine's vocabulary, and he will not judge others,
unless they give him a reason to, which isn't easy to do. He accepts
everyone as a friend, even those who don't deserve to be in the company
of this sweet and lovable mutt. Labrin often tries to get Dusk to see the
nature of some of his "friends", only succeeding when Dusk sees for
himself what that nature is.

{| Likes |}
-Mardi Gras
The generous and flashy nature of this celebration is Dusk's favorite
time of year. Seeing the families and friends gathering together to fish
a coin out of king cake, or pray to the Saint, or even throwing beads for
others to enjoy gives Dusk a warm glow inside, making him the happiest
creature on Earth. During this time of year, Dusk is often seen sporting
his own set of Mardi Gras beads around his neck and front legs, and a
homemade mask made of trashed cardboard and random scrap pieces of
fabric and glitter.

-Ghost Stories
Dusk loves hearing stories about spirits who haven't passed on, often
dreaming about helping those spirits find peace. Dusk keeps a small
human book of stories, that he often tries to decipher, only getting the
gist of the story in most cases. But that doesn't matter to Dusk; he fills
in the rest with his imagination, coming up with even more wild stories
than what they were to begin with.

-Gumbo
Dusk's all time favorite food is gumbo, a rare delicacy for him. He
loves the less spicy versions, however, generally leaning more towards
Creole gumbo than the more widely known Cajun. He loves every bit of
the gumbo, from the meat (he prefers shellfish, but enjoys fowl as well),
to the thickener, to even the three veggies that are found in almost
every gumbo: celery, bell peppers and onions.

-Stargazing
Dusk loves stargazing as much as, if not more than, ghost stories.
With the stars, he can make up his own stories, explaining each
constellation he sees, and naming the small, glowing dots his own way,
heedless of the already widely known names. Labrin often disapproves of
this childish practice, but allows Dusk to have that fun anyway, knowing
that story creating is something that makes Dusk incredibly happy.

{| Dislikes |}
-Prejudice
Dusk hates judgmental creatures, especially those who put themselves
above all others. Dusk believes that everyone deserves a chance, a view
that is often not shared by Labrin. Creatures who prove themselves snooty
or judgmental are no friends of Dusk's, but only after they show their true
colors.

-Dishonesty
Because Dusk is so trusting, dishonesty is quite offensive to him.
He feels that lying is pointless, and always makes a point of being truthful
no matter what he does, even if it ends up hurting the other person. Dusk
lives by the phrase "the truth will set you free."

-Violence
Dusk hates conflict almost as much as he hates dishonesty. He believes
there is always a peaceful way of settling disputes, like talking out the
problems that creatures are having. He is always happy to be a mediator,
in order to avoid conflict. He never fights back if provoked, deciding to just
back down, which has given him the reputation of being a weakling to other
stray dogs.

-Rain
Dusk dislikes the rain for one reason: his grandmother passed in the rain,
leaving him without a parental figure. Rain tends to take this happy mutt's
normal mood and bring it down, leaving Labrin to pick up the pieces of the
happy-go-lucky mask.

-Hot Peppers
Dusk hates spicy foods, especially the little red peppers he finds in the
bayou. Ever since he mistakenly ate one as a pup, making his little mouth
burn with the intensity of the heat, he has hated hot peppers. He prefers
his food with other spices, especially his gumbo.

{| Name |}
Labrin
(Creole for "Dusk")

{| Gender |}
Male

{| Breed |}
Spirit Dog
(Canis espiritus)

{| Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it? |}
Every week since Labrin was donated, I would stop and look at him, before carrying on my merry way. It wasn't until this week, our anniversary week, that he finally caught my eye in a new way, an inspiring way. I finally saw the character he could become in my story, a story riddled with ghosts and spirits, first with Taibhse, now, hopefully, with Labrin. His markings, so simple, yet stunning, add to the idea of what he is to both my story, and to Dusk himself.

Just like Dusk, Labrin would have a home on my site, with his own page, and plenty of art to accompany it, both by myself, and by others. He, too would have a place in the untitled story, possibly traveling through to some of my other stories, like many of my characters do. I can guarantee, he, like Dusk, will be loved.

{| Personality |}
-Apathetic
Labrin has issues really caring about anything. He is unemotional, quiet and comes off as being cold a lot of the time. There's nothing he can really do about it, however, as it is part of his psychology, just like Dusk's empathy. The only creature who has ever really seen Labrin's cold mask come off is Dusk, and only Dusk. Labrin prefers his cold and collected demeanor, as it gives him the ability to read people and to think things through, since he has no emotional attachment to anyone or anything...except for Dusk.

-Level-Headed
Labrin keeps his cool no matter the situation, whether it be a stray mutt looking for a fight from Dusk, or Dusk being his normal trusting self. His level-headedness allows him to think things through, almost as if he was playing a great game of chess with him as the player, and all others in ranks, Dusk being the King he must protect at all costs, and Bourdaux the Queen, the piece that could go anywhere she pleased, especially with spiritual guidance.

-Pessimistic
Labrin sees the glass half-empty, and never sees a silver lining. He refers to himself as a realist instead of a pessimist, however, stating that he just tries to keep check on reality, something Dusk isn't keen to do. Labrin takes everything with a grain of salt, preferring to see the truth as opposed to hearing it. After all, to him, everybody lies, and everyone has an ulterior motive to whatever they may do. This causes him to doubt everyone, while Dusk prefers the opposite.

-Reserved
Labrin prefers to stay in control of himself, never letting his guard down. The wall he has built around himself allows him to stay level-headed and collected, but it also helps his cold demeanor flourish, sometimes to the point where it even brings Dusk down. Labrin speaks only after thinking it through, and only acts when he knows the outcome is in his favor. He is often mistaken by empaths as being shy, but that is completely opposite of his reserved nature. Instead, he is analytical and prides his self-control above everything else.

{| Likes |}
-Observing
Labrin likes to observe others, trying to discover their character, their flaws, and above all, their motives. He always tries to be analytical when it comes to his observations, much like the human scientists he's heard so much about. Throughout his life, he has surpassed most in his ability to read the emotions and traits of others; he tends to use this ability to steer Dusk away from those who only wish to use him and his kindness for their own benefit.

-Having a Purpose
Labrin feels as though he has no purpose in his existence, other than to guide Dusk. He enjoys having a reason to keep going each day: almost like a goal he must reach by night's end, or week's end, or even year's end. Normally, he sets one each day, like to read this new creature, or to get that needy tomcat away from Dusk's kind gestures. Sometimes, his goals are much greater, but those are few and far between.

-Thunderstorms
Labrin, unlike his Akita counterpart, loves rain, more specifically, thunderstorms. The way the lightning dances across the sky is enchanting to him, reminding him that he is one part in a whole. Rain also reminds him of when their grandmother passed, but he recalls it fondly; after all, she became like him: a passed spirit. Storms remind him that she's still there, despite everything, and is always willing to guide her grandsons on the right path.

-Being Heard
Because empaths are so few and far between, Labrin is pleased in his own way when others can hear him and his observations. He especially enjoys the company of Bourdaux, the southern belle empath with a fiery temper and a sweet disposition. She never failed to have words of wisdom for the spirit, especially when it comes to getting through to Dusk and his non-judgmental ways.

{| Dislikes |}
-Childishness
Labrin hates it when Dusk goes into his little world of extravagant ghost stories and make-believe star legends. He feels as though acting like a child is a useless practice and makes you seem weak in a world that doesn't take weakness kindly. He does his best to keep Dusk's child-like urges in check, while also suppressing his own child-like wants.

-Feeling Lost
Labrin always needs a goal. Without a goal, he has no purpose, and, therefore, he feels lost. Feeling lost is one of Labrin's least favorite things. Many people may hate feeling lost, but, to Labrin, it's absolute torture. Bourdaux often blames Labrin's apathetic attitude on his lack of a life goal and in the lost feeling he often buries deep inside.

-Being Ignored
Because Labrin can't speak with just anyone, he hates it when what he says goes unnoticed to those who can understand him, escpecially Dusk, as the mutt has a habit of ignoring Labrin's advice until it's almost too late. Labrin tries his hardest to be heard by empaths, often so he can advise them not to trust those around them.

-Festivals
While Dusk may love Mardi Gras, Labrin loathes it. All the loud, boisterous partying, the immaturity shown by the humans in their drinking and...immodesty makes Labrin's normally uncaring mood go quite sour. During the Mardi Gras season, you can find him hiding out in the quiet parts of New Orleans, sometimes even in an old plantation house, one of the last standing after all these years, while his counterpart dresses up and roams around the city.

-Con-Artists
Those who lie and cheat their way through life are no friends of Labrin. Especially those who pick on those weaker than them. Although quite cold, he, like Dusk, finds dishonesty appalling and nonsensical, and will happily call out a liar, even when he can't be heard; as long as he knows the truth, and can find a way of showing it to others later, he's quite content to be the only one knowing for a while.

{| History/Background |}
{| Outside New Orleans, July 16th, 2142 |}
I was born in the eye of a hurricane, dusk's dim light creeping through the dingy windows of the old house my mother had holed up in. My cries for milk were the only sounds echoing in the cavernous space as the eye of the storm passed over us. My mother's kind eyes watched me as I suckled for the first time, my cries silenced by gaining what my newborn body craved. My mother looked out at the storm ravaged yard, broken trees and broken dreams littering the emerald grass, before looking back down at my little grey and white body.

"My little Dusk...my sweet, little Dusk."

Another figure silently joined my mother, watching her with me. This canine was older than the young mother, her eyes shining with wisdom and warmth, and, in her mouth, she carried another newborn pup. This pup wasn't normal, however, though I wouldn't know that for a very long time afterwards, but my mother knew. She knew, because she saw no pup in the elderly Akita's mouth. She knew it was there. She was aware of her mother's gift.

"It worked?" my mother's voice was soft, tired, but curious. My grandmother lowered her head, resting the small black pup next to me, watching as the two of us snuggled against my mother's belly. Smiled kindly at her exhausted daughter and her new family.

"Indeed it did, my child. He has gained a spirit brother. Raise them together, Belle, and they will help each other in the toughest times. Blood may be thicker than water, but nothing is stronger than the bond between souls."

Charlotte glanced over at her own spirit sister, a kind spirit named Genevieve, silent, yet ever watchful. They had been through much together, and seen many good and bad things, but they survived with the help of the other. She knew her daughter's newborn pup would need all the help he could get in this dark world.

"What is the spirit's name, Mother?" Belle softly asked, her voice almost being drowned out by the rising winds; the eye, the peace, was almost gone.

"He has none; he is your son, name him as you see fit, my Belle."

As the storm picked up, the winds staring to howl once more, the rain driving against the flimsy wood walls of the dilapidated building, my mother finally spoke, her voice almost blown away with the wind.

"Labrin. My little ones...Dusk and Labrin."

{| New Orleans, May 25th, 2143 |}

"Grandmother...? Where are we going?" I followed my grandmother through the dim alleys of New Orleans, Labrin silently walking beside me. He preferred to observe; I preferred to question. Labrin and I had seemed to grow into complete opposites, yet, we were the best of friends; we were brothers. I smiled as my grandmother chuckled.

"My silly, impatient boy. You will see."

Our journey continued in silence as we moved into parts of the city I had never seen; my eyes filled with wonder as I looked at everything around me, soaking in the details and all the new sights. Labrin kept his head down; he wasn't as curious as I was. He didn't seem to care that we were in a new area of town.

"Well, wha' d'we 'ave 'ere?" Labrin's head snapped up as my head snapped forward. We had stopped, probably because a large German shepherd was standing before us, a cruel smile curling his upper lip. Battle scars littered his face and body; he was a street dog, through and through, and a violent one at that.

"We just wish to pass," my grandmother replied strongly, her head held high, "We are simply traveling to visit a friend of mine. She lives in the area, you might know her."

The shepherd eyed her for a moment before growling lowly, his eyes narrowing and his teeth bared, "Bourdaux. Friends of that freak ain't no friends of mine."

We all knew what was about to happen, but none of us were capable of stopping it. My grandmother barked out a "Run!" to myself and my silent brother before the large dog pounced. Howls of pain and barks of rage mixed in a frightening symphony of violence. I backed away, my tail between my legs, shaking like a leaf in one of New Orleans' famous hurricanes. Labrin, seemed to be torn between leaping into the fight, or running away for his life. Finally, I acted. And I acted like a coward.

I ran.

I never saw my grandmother again.

{| New Orleans, French Quarter, June 14th, 2143 |}

It had been a few weeks after I last saw my grandmother, I spent most of that time skirting around others, running with my tail between my legs. Labrin followed, ever silent, his eyes shining with pain and loss, his head lowered constantly. The violent loss of the last of our family was painful. Extremely painful. And our mannerisms reflected the loss.

However, if it wasn't for the way we acted, we never would have met the group that would eventually become our new family.

We had been slinking though the alleys, trying hard to avoid any other being around, just like we had done since the attack. We were both silent; no words needed to be said. We knew what the other was thinking, feeling. And it was pain. We were in mourning. Deep, deep in mourning.

We were so focused on ourselves, our problems, we never noticed the rottweiler until it was too late.

Until he fell on us, to be correct.

"I'm sorreh! I'm so sorreh! I didn' mean tuh! I'm such a clumseh dummeh!" the big dog whined, leaping up and backing off, cowering. This dog was twice my size, but he had managed to make himself smaller than me, which was quite the accomplishment. I was small for an Akita, and I knew it.

"It...it's okay. I'm okay," I said as I pulled myself up, eying the other canine. Labrin's eyes shined with amusment; he had escaped the tumble. It was the first emotion I had seen him show in days. It was amazing. I turned back to the uncurling rott, both of us eying each other, Labrin watching on the sidelines.

"Are yuh sure? I hate hurtin' anyone!" he whined, looking me over. My reply was cut off, however, by a thick, Southern accent belonging to a pretty, older canine, her smile kind as she approached, a couple other dogs following behind.

"Bear! Hun, are you troublin' these poor dears?" she chuckled, looking at me and my brother, speaking in a stage whisper, a sly grin on her face, "He's such a lovable, clumsy brute, ain't he?" I couldn't help but smile back.

"He's a lot nicer than some of the other dogs we've encountered," Labrin replied, though I knew he wasn't expecting much of an answer. That was the problem with being a spirit; only so many people could hear you. However, we were both surprised when the belle replied.

"Really, hun? Well that's a cryin' shame. Maybe we can show ya the Southern hospitality y'all deserve," she smirked at my gaping face and the almost blank expression on Labrin's, "Weren't expectin' to meet another empath, were ya?"

"A what?" I looked confused, my light red eyes scrunched in puzzlement.

"Someone who can see spirits, correct?" Labrin's soft, matter-of-fact voice sounded beside me. I glanced over at him, wondering how he knew that, when I didn't.

"Indeed, you're right, sweetie. I'm just like you; I see them, too. Now, what shall I call you boys, hmm?"

"I...I'm Dusk. And this is my brother, Labrin," I was surprised when the canines gasped, the belle's eyes softening as she looked at us; Bear the clumsy rottweiler looked ready to cry as he watched us.

"Charlotte's boys..."

"You know who we are? How?" Labrin asked, his bright blue eyes focused on the empath before us.

"Boys, my name is Bourdaux, and I knew your grandmother."

It was her. The alliance that got my grandmother killed.

And I didn't know what to feel.

{| Story in a Nutshell |}

Dusk and Labrin were born two different ways, but were raised as brothers. Polar opposites, they balance each other out well. One silly and emotional, the other serious and stoic. After the loss of their mother, Belle, and their grandmother, Charlotte, Dusk and Labrin take to wandering the streets.

After a few weeks, they run into a group of canines, all seemingly outcasts in their own way, from Bear the large, but clumsy and lovable, rottweiler to Felix the greyhound with couch potato tendencies. Their ringleader? Bourdaux, a Southern belle mutt with an empathetic personality, much like Dusk's. Bourdaux took them in, happily helping the grandsons of her old friends.

After a few months of settling in, Dusk befriends a beautiful Irish setter, Georgia, kind and sweet. Dusk falls hard, despite Labrin's warnings, as he sees though the act of the female. Dusk, for the first time in his life, fights with Labrin, defending Georgia's integrity, feeling deep down that Georgia was being honest and open with him. The rift causes Dusk to leave the outcast pack, going with Georgia, Labrin staying behind, his heart cold.

Georgia leads Dusk to an unfamiliar part of town, the infatuated male happily following, unaware that Labrin's sense of character was spot on. That is, until he's surrounded. At a whimper of her name, Georgia just says, "I'm sorry, Dusk, but business is business."

The leader of the pack? The German shepherd that murdered Dusk's grandmother.

Unknown to anyone in the alley, Labrin had followed his brother, needing to make sure the Akita was safe. Seeing the danger Dusk was in, Labrin races back to Bourdaux's home, begging for help from the misfits, his begging easily being answered by their friends.

Labrin arrives first to find Dusk unmoving, laying on the dingy ground of the dark alley. Fury fills the normally stoic canine, and he stands before the group, a protective stance over Dusk. His fury grants him a semi-corporeal form his blue eyes glowing with anger. The terrified gang backs off, all but the leader. A growl escapes him, stepping toward the angry spirit. Bear, the normally cowardly dog, barrels through the group, the rest of the misfits corralling the threatening pack. Between Bourdaux and Labrin, they manage to drive the leader back, frightening him off, but not after he swears revenge.

From then on, Dusk trusted Labrin's judgement so much more. The brothers became closer than ever, living with Bourdaux as her second-in-commands, helping her take care of the growing pack, and eventually helping the pack rescue creatures from the nearby genetic lab, accepting those rescues as family as well. Labrin made his life goal to protect his naive brother from his tendencies, lightening the spirit's mood...slightly.

Though, this, of course, is only part of the long story of Dusk and Labrin. It is only the beginning, and there are many more stories to be had.

Postby MerryEaster » Fri Jul 22, 2011 3:31 pm

Happy one year Anniversary PoH!

I am looking to adopt love & adore...

Kennel number: P44 & P43

Name: Avia; Meaning Innocent; Springtime(brown one) & Maline; Meaning french for mischievous(grey one)

Breed: Snow-leopard/regular leopard cross breed & Snow Leopard x Tiger

Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?: When Avia was first donated, I thought ‘She is the one of the most cutest things ever!’ I told myself, if by the next Code drop, and no one applied for her or if no one got her, I would apply~ Plus, I love the design, as I have been looking for a Leopard character too. Also, who wouldn’t fall in love with a face like that, and so beautiful eyes. When Syra donated Maline, I thought he was adorable to. His design is just as cute as Avia's<33 Plus his eyes are part of my top three favorite colors<33(teal, purple & black) Just as Avia, who couldnt fall in love with a face like that? And I just had to keep them together, and I have a perfect plot for them to~

Personality:
Shy: Avia is not good around anyone or anything. She is a bit socially awkward and just sticks to being with family.
Confident: Maline is very confident, so confident it sometimes can lead to being cocky. He is very bold and quite certain he is right in everything.
Kind: Avia is one of the most sweetest little things in the whole world. She is very affectionate to people, and any living thing
Abrasive: Maline is a little unpleasant to be around. Maline is also a little hurtful when things dont go his way
Smart: Avia is quite intelligent. She knows whether to take the narrow or wide path, left or right. Which is the correct way to go
Yearning: Although Maline's personality isnt the best, there still is some kindess deep in that soul. He greatly desires his sister to love him for who he is, but.....

Likes:
Their mother & father: Surprisingly, Maline and Avia have something in common. Ever since that one day, they have been longing for that one thing small pups need, parents.
Attention: Since Maline has a pretty, uncomfortable personality, most people stay away, so when he gets /positive/ attention, he is beyond happy
Cupcakes: Avia adores cupcakes. She thinks they are nature's wonders of deliciousness <3 But cupcakes are rarely eaten since they arent found very often in the woods

Dislikes:
The dark: Avia is deathly afraid of the dark. She is afraid predators or larger, hungry animals will come and attack her. Although her species in the forest, are foretold as the largest predator there. But she doesnt know that
People: Unlike his sister, Maline thinks people are horrid creatures who destroy everything they touch. He thinks, that they will just ruin everything if they could.
Chickens: Although Maline & Avia could eat chickens, and hunt them down, they consider chickens "an annoying bag of feathers and bones"

History/Background:
"Keep up pups. We dont want to loose you." My father's reassuring voice called back. I scampered up quicker and Maline trailed behind mumbling about something. I sat down and licked my sore pawpads. My mother and father walked over to a small stream to get a drink. "What are you complaining about now Maline?" He glared at me, his eyes burning angrily. He mumbled more and joined Mother and Father. Mother licked his ear and he twitched it and started sipping water.

"Avvie are you going to come get a drink, or keep licking your paws? It'll help to let them soak in the water." My mother told my sister. She bounded over here and hopped into the water. "Great you got me wet...." I said frustrated and licked my fur. Avia looked confused and lapped the water. When she wasnt looking, I hopped in and splashed everyone else. "You got me all wet!" Avia shrieked. " I laughed and pulled myself out of the stream. "You got me wet, I get you wet. We're even."

My father saw the tense vibe, so he spoke up, "Ah...I think its time for us to leave." and he starting walking back on the path with Mother following behind. "I did not deserve to get wet..." I whispered. But Maline was behind me and replied, "Trust me. You did." And he walked away to catch up with our parents. I stalked off, and sighed. I did deserve it.

I was bored. Very bored. The only thing to do would be to do something to his sister. And he had done that the whole trip. My parents had fallen asleep, and it was almost midnight. I yawned and layed down for a moment. As I was about to rest my eyes, I heard slipping and grunts. When my eyes flashed back open, I saw Avia, slipping down the hill, attempting to climb back up. "What are you doing?" I hissed through gritted teeth. She started whimpering, and I knew there was no joke. I lazily pushed myself to wake up and bring her back up. "Help me" she whispered. I grabbed her by the scruff and tried to pull her up the mountain, but instead, it just got worse.

I didnt know what was happening. It was dark, and I only felt Maline's teeth in my scruff. Next thing I knew, we were tumbling down the hill. I didnt let out a cry, but I felt warm tears drip down my eyes, thinking we wouldnt make this alive. I felt another warm liquid plastered on my fur, but I wasnt sure. When we finally got to the bottom, I heard my brother cry in pain.

"I think I broke my leg.." I muttered. Avia nosed through my fur. "Which leg?" I twitched my toes of my broken leg. Avia prodded my leg and she felt something warm & sticky on her muzzle. "Your bleeding. Bad. We...we need to do...something."

I was scared. More than Maline was. And not just because of his broken leg; but also because we were lost without our parents. But I had to focus on helping Maline, even if he wasnt so good to me. I tried to find something that could help Maline, but I had no luck. That is..until I heard a familiar sound....the stream.

"Maline! I hear a stream nearby. Do you need my help, or do you think you can try to get there by yourself?" I heard my sister call not to far away. I heaved myself up and limped towards her. I felt her tail brush my nose, "Follow me." And I did; surprisingly she was right. There was a small stream. I had no idea how she heard it, but I didnt object.

Maline stepped into the icy stream. I saw him shiver and then sigh quietly. "Thanks..." he muttered under his breathe. I nodded and scanned the area. It was dark around 11:17pm. There wasnt much except many trees, bare grass, the stream...and structures? Our mother had described them to us; warned us to stay away. She told us, these two legged creatures who were almost like us, without a tail and only fur on their head(a.k.a. Humans) take little animals like us. I always thought it was a children's story book to scare us from the structures...that is; until it really happened.

While I was in the stream, I could her Avia sniff almost everything. But I didnt hear it anymore. No sniffing, no sounds...I turned around. No Avia. Only a human, a creature our mother told us about in her "Story time" but I never thought it was real. There was more than one human. All I could see was one, but I could scent others. It turned around and noticed me. My blood ran cold. I saw Avia tucked in her arm, unconscious. I wanted to run, but I remember my broken leg, and the human scooped me up. I went limp and passed out.

When I woke up, I saw my brother curled up next to me, and something wrapped around his broken leg. I think it was called a 'cast' that helps it heal properly. We were not in a forest, but inside the structure. There were things to sit on, a hole with logs and fire, something that was round, almost like the ground we were just sleeping on; a potted plant, and many other things hard to describe. I prodded Maline to wake up, but he was completely asleep. I just curled up closer to him, shivering in fear. I was glad I was here with Maline...and not alone.

I felt the sun creeping through, trying to reach in and bring Avia and I home. I opened my eyes and saw Avia cuddled close to me. As much as we dont get along, I was glad she fell down the hill; glad I tried to help her; glad that I didnt save her. Because of that, it brought us closer, what I dreamed of someday happening....Me and Avia becoming more than litter mates, but my closest friend. Instead of trying to escape I let out a sigh of happiness and curled up next to her again.

After a while, there was no struggling, no fighting. Things were better off in what was later found out as a 'house' with our new owners. It was much suitable. Today on the news, there was a story of a snow leopard and a tiger found on the road. It was assumed they were mates. The snow leopard was female, the tiger male. The female had only one litter, most likely of two or three. The two are now located in the local zoo. Possibly Maline & Avia's parents? That is an unsolved mystery....

IN order that I want them (if that changes anything)
I am looking to adopt and love forever...
Picture: Image
Kennel number: P65
Name: Duuri
Breed: Australian Shepherd x
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?: I instantly fell in love with his design, I love him. I will try my hardest to get him
Personality: Duuri is a very loyal friend. He loves being around friends and family, but is on edge when he sees strangers that don't look nice. He often gets teased for being a crossbreed, and hates the purebreed dogs who think they are the best.
Likes: pups, mix breeds, food
Dislikes: nasty purebreds, untrusted strangers, people who abuse or are cruel to animals
History/Background: No one wanted him when he was a pup, and he became a stray. He lives on the streets of the town in Nome, Alaksa (in 1925), and has made friends with many people and dogs. He is always looking to find a mate, but all of the girls he meets prefer purebred dogs to mixbreeds. He also hates Steele (Balto, 1995) because he is mean to mixbreeds. Thats how he became friends with Balto (Balto, 1995), a wolf dog who is also a stray. They are great friends, and always stand up for each other.
Art: Coming soon
Other:
This character is going to be in the "Balto World". Balto is a movie I really like, and most of my characters are set in the time and place of the movie.
I am looking to adopt and love forever...
Picture: Image
Kennel number: F55
Name: Tiger
Breed: Jungle Smili (I think I chose subspecies)
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?: I love Smilis, and I will do anything for it. They have been something I have wanted for a long, long time, and now I have a chance to get one, if I win that is.
Personality: Tiger is a skilled hunter, and is a great help to his group. He is also very strong, which is handy when hunting larger anmals
Likes: hunting, his group, the small pets his group keeps
Dislikes: not succeeding when hunting, fights between his group, other groups
History/Background: Tiger lives in a group with 8 other Smilis. He is 3 years old, still fairly young, but acts like he is all grown up. His greatest achievment in hunting was when he hunted a deer by himself. He thought he was the greatest smili when he hunted it.

Kennel number:[/b ]P1
[b]Name:
Laz
Breed: African Wild Dog
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?: I love wild dogs, with their unique patterns and beautiful colouring, and I love the design of this one
Personality: Laz is a determined wild dog. When he has a goal, he won't give up hope until he succeeds. He sometimes feels lonely when he is rejected.
Likes: packs, family, succeeding
Dislikes: giving up, being rejected, being lonely
History/Background: Laz is sort of a loner. He was seperated from his family as a pup, and is rejected from packs he finds because he is weak. He is always on the look out for other wild dogs, in the hop he will find a pack that will accept him
Art: Coming Soon
Other: None

Would it be ok if we went for 3 common creatures instead of 2 common creatures + 1 freak of nature?
