plans for her Clan. She (rightfully) suspects Fogstar's leadership was set up by the previous leader, and views his leadership as unofficial. Whilst other cats left the Clan in protest of his leadership, she remained - but this was just so she could tear down his leadership from the
inside, believing he is not the rightful leader. Those close to her have tried to talk her out to it to no avail, ignoring the danger and believing she is doing the right thing for her Clan by taking him down. (94 words)

"Fogstar, I'm begging you."
Their leader's disdainful flick of his tail told them all that they needed to know. They had no choice but to do this job. Letting out a dramatic sigh, they padded out of camp. They crept low to the ground; covering themselves with ferns overhead. Their pale pelt effortlessly mixed with the fog, making them look almost like a ghost in the misty moonlight.
They trotted along rapidly but stealthily, making sure they didn't make a sound that would be heard by anything much bigger and much more ferocious than they were. They grimaced internally. And their least favourite duty
involved those creatures. What rotten luck that they had been chosen today. Palechirp knew they shouldn't have gotten out of their nest this morning. Next time, they'd fake being sick, they mused.
If there is a next time. That faint spark of anxiety caused their fur to bush out unnaturally. Oh, why oh why did they let themselves think that? Now that they've put that thought into the world, surely it would happen now? And the more they thought about it, the more anxious they got, and the more they couldn't stop thinking about it.
In the midst of their worry about what might happen to them today, they ironically forgot what they were doing and practically jumped out of their skin when they heard the thump of loud paws. They rapidly scrambled up the nearby tree, barely able to breathe. They tentatively crawled forward along the branch until they were looking down at the den of wolves.
The den needed to be observed every so often to see how their numbers were. If they seemed skinny due to a lack of bigger prey, they could very well begin targeting the cats. Skullclan was only barely under their radar. But, spirits above, Palechirp
loathed this duty. Even high up a tree, it was difficult to not feel terrified of these huge, aggressive creatures. But, they swallowed their anxiety and continued to sit up there until dawn, carefully watching the pack below. (345 words)
