Username:
I'm StarrySkyCat, feel free to call me Starry

Kennel Number:
The character I'm going for currently resides in Kennel 31

Use:
Use for this character? Well, I am a character hoarder after all! (Currently I have over 100 chars). But don't worry, Senka won't rot in a corner. I love my characters all the same after all. I try to roleplay and write about them, maybe the occasional drawing (because I can be a slow drawer at times). But Senka will most likely be used in my upcoming series of short stories about all of my characters living their life.

Image
Name:
Her name began as Akila [African, meaning 'most beautiful'] but was later changed to Senka [Serbian, meaning 'Shadow']
This will all make sense when it comes to her backstory, I promise you
Nicknames: The Shadow Messenger (because of her name and job), Sen

Gender:
Female; she could just barely pass as a male, but I like her better this way

Breed/Species:
Winged Wolf

Personality:
|Quiet|Intelligent|Calm|Organized|Stubborn|Negative|Alert|

-Quiet and Anti-Social-
Senka is awfully quiet. Some think she's always silent. Some even think she's a mute. But Senka just isn't one to talk or socialize with people. She would rather keep her thoughts and feelings to herself. This is probably because she was too shy when around others. She would never be confident enough to go up to another wolf and ask to play. And if she did ever speak to someone, they wouldn't hear her. Her voice would be too soft. Of course, being ignored her whole life, she learned to ignore herself. Senka would block out other people so they wouldn't block out her. She wouldn't speak to them to be spoken to. She only speaks if someone has said something to her. She would stay as quiet as possible. She would stay away from other individuals, thinking that she would eventually be forced to speak with them. Instead, Senka would keep all her feelings and thoughts walled up inside.

-Intelligent-
Senka is an intelligent wolf, always learning quickly and studying hard. She hates to be outwitted and likes to pick on others who aren't as smart as her. She usually spends most of her time studying helpful information such as which herbs to use when injured or what to do when caught in a specific situation. And this leads to memorization. Senka can remember things for long periods of time. This is why she's a great messenger, because there is no need for written messages to be damaged. This can be a bad thing too. If you have ever done something to get on Senka's bad side, then she'll remember it. She will wait for the perfect time to get back at you, whether it was just as bad at what you did to her or worse. Adding on, this skill can apply to battle as well. She can quickly learn the style of fighting her opponent has chosen and infer his/her next moves and what their reaction will be if she did this or that.

-Calm and Collected-
Senka is always calm in some of the most stressing situations. Don't expect her to be the one freaking out and overthinking the possibilities of what may happen in the problem. Most of the time, Senka would rather not get involved in the first place. Rarely, if she does want to get into the problem, she would stand back and observe a bit before going in and handling the situation. She would be calm while helping along. Never will she just randomly snap at someone or get angry. Maybe a little annoyed, but she'll try to keep a level head and somehow get it to stop. She isn't scatterbrained either. She'll be strict and confident while giving instructions and be able to make a solid plan within minutes/seconds.

-Organized-
Mostly neat and tidy, Senka has a hate for messes. She needs everything to be in the proper place at the proper time, or she'll get slightly annoyed. She tends to end up doing things herself because she doesn't like the way other people. 'Things won't get done around here unless I do it myself,' she'll sometimes mutter. If a stack of papers has one that is upside down, Senka may frown a little and just fix it. She can also be a freak about cleanliness (although this only applies to her human form). She doesn't like dirty, dusty places or muddy fingerprints on her just-polished glass table.

-Stubborn-
Senka wants to do things her way most of the time. That's why she'll take lead even though she is quiet around others. Everything must go according to her plan or 'things will go wrong' as she says. She doesn't like it if others will follow someone else's ideas instead of her own. She doesn't back off, unless she knows that their plan is better even though she won't admit it. Senka can always find an excuse to make up for her unwillingness to do their plan. She can also be stubborn when she doesn't want to do something. Like when her friends want to go hunting, she can somehow get herself out of it and sleep or whatever. Most of the time, Senka will always get her way, but she'll give in if someone else is more stubborn than her.

-Negative-
Although she tries to be a realist and tries to be logical, Senka can be pretty negative. She doesn't talk much but some pretty bad things will go through her head at times. She judges too quickly when it comes to people. She will often comment (in her head) on individuals who don't seem like the best person, or are doing this or that. She can and will curse or say insults if something bothers her that much. And Senka wil threaten or say something bad that may happen if someone interrupts while she's explaining something important. And the thing is that she doesn't really care. If she makes a kid cry, she won't really try to comfort them. Instead, she might think 'wimp' or just frown and walk away. She hasn't really been the type to give encouragement or take a compliment. Just say what she needs to say and leaves.

-Alert and Prepared-
Senka is always ready for anything. She's taught herself things such as survival techniques and how to fight. She does this because, well, she has nothing else to do. Her parents don't really care where she wanders off to as long as she returns home when it gets dark. Her siblings often ignore her too. So she teaches herself helpful things that could be used in the future. Like what to be frightened of. It's extremely rare for Senka to get scared of something, unless it was really suprising and could catch everyone off guard. She uses her senses well, especially since one eye (the silver one) is half blind. She relies on her hearing and smell greatly. Senka doesn't usually need to bring anything with her, but she will if she greatly feels like it would be a help during her time away. She is always alert. Senka will always keep her senses heightened if she is alone (which happens quite often). Often, she will not sleep for days and not be as tired as others would be over that course of time (but she would still be pretty tired). Yet she will still train herself because she believes there is always room for improvement.

Of course, during the backstory, Senka still acts like this but cannot remember why until she was told about it.

Backstory:

Dark paws treaded slowly on the hard, beaten down path through the woods. The sun was sinking and a breeze trailed through the lush green leaves. It gently threaded its way through the black wolf's fur, causing her to shiver slightly. She tucked her wings in closer to her body and hoped to keep the warmth before the wind stole it away.

The wolf slowed to a stop and turned her head to the treetops and the fading sky. She didn't want to go home. Her siblings never acknowledged her much and her parents left her alone because she was old enough to take care of herself. And she was fine with that, honestly. They understood her need to be alone and they left her alone. Simple as that. But sometimes it just makes that lonely, empty feeling she hated so much come back when she was at home. She peered at the sunset through a crack in the branches, brow furrowed, until she shook away the thoughts. This feeling happened a lot, so why wasn't she used to it yet? She growled at herself for being this way and ended up stomping on a bunch of nettles. Ouch. Cursing loudly, she ripped it out of her pad with her teeth and began limping home.

The path began to lead into an open field, where the grass was a beautiful shade of green and dotted with tiny blue flowers. It led up to a path on the side of a mountain. It was a bit small for a mountain though, but it was a nice place to live. Still going up along the mountain, it widened out to a rather large cliff. The vegetation changed back to a thick forest along the way again so you couldn't see how far up you were on the cliff. And then, there was a cave. Her family lived there. It was actually dry and shady, and it kept most of the bad weather out.

Akila walked to the entrance of the cave. "Hello?" she called out. It echoed slightly, along with the awkward padding of her footsteps as she limped right in. There was her mother, sitting with a pile of dead animals and picking out the old food. Her deep, ocean blue eyes, just like her own, lit up slightly as she walked in. Her pure wings unfurled slightly as she stood up and pressed against her daughter.

"Akila! Dinner is almost ready; your father should almost be done hunting by now. Can you go get your siblings?" she inquired. Akila sighed and gave a small nod.

"Where are they?" she asked as she turned and began walking out of the entrance. Her mother hesitated as she thought.

"I believe they are on the east path," she finally said. Akila gave another stern nod and continued out and on to the east path. It just led a little closer to the top of the mountain. There was still forestry, but you can see dots of pine trees if you looked around the top. Akila stopped. The path widened out into a small clearing, where her siblings would hang out. But there was no one there. She frowned and took a look closer. There were fresh scents of Remo and Kiri. They were here just recently. But where did they go? Akila realized the scent trail still continued down the path. That could only mean that they decided to hang out at Dead Thorn Fall.

She sighed. Someone was going to get hurt and it would not end up nicely. Dead Thorn Fall was a steep, high cliff that was covered in curled, rotten thorns. According to myth, it used to be a hill full of beautiful red roses. But everyone wanted a rose for their self, so every day someone would come and cut a beautiful rose from the hill. The gods were angry at this and caused a landslide to destroy the hill and get rid of the roses. But the roots still grew and produced the dark claws that are nearly impossible to escape. Of course, very few still believed in that tale. Yet no one would ever go near there, afraid of the unstable ground that could collapse any minute or the overgrown and black rose thorns.

Akila walked down the path until she began seeing dead, black twisted thorns replacing the friendly green of the forest leaves. They would have stopped here right? Nope. Akila could still pick up the scent going farther down the path. She followed it and began hearing giggles and chatter nearby. Akila walked calmly into the clearing around the corner. There were other wolves there gossiping and hanging out with her brother and sister. They immediately backed off when they saw Akila's icy gaze. Her siblings simply brushed it off though and glanced at Akila. "Hey, what's up?" Remo said, shaking dirt off of his pelt as he stood up.

"Mom said you guys need to come home," Akila replied calmly. Kiri smirked and went to stand by her sister, uncurling a wing and placing it across Akila's back.

"Oh come on, we can hang out a little more, can't we?" she asked smoothly. Akila gave a slight warning growl and shook Kiri's wing off.

"She has a point you know," Remo added in. At this point their friends were whispering quietly to each other.

Akila thought it over. Maybe they did have some time. But their mother will get worried. The sun was almost set in the dark horizon. "Well may-" As Akila stepped forward, her paw began painfully stinging again. She stumbled and tumbled over because of the extra weight of her wings. She landed with a thump by the edge of the cliff, right by the thorny branches. As she got up, she realized that her siblings and their friends were staring at her.

"What?" she said coolly. Then it was her turn to be surprised. The ground shifted below her. Before she knew it, the earth crumbled below her and she went tumbling down the steep cliff.

All of the thorns tore at her, stealing thick clumps of dark fur and pulling her skin open at every struggle. Her wings instinctively spread out to help with her fall, but the soft feathers were being tugged out too. Everything was a blur. Thoughts raced through her head and her limbs flailed in an attempt to escape. But it didn't work. She kept falling, bruising herself and cutting herself at every turn. The last thing she could remember was something hitting her head. Hard. Then darkness for a very, very long time.

---

Her eye opened slowly as the sunlight gently filtered through the treetops and onto her face. It was hard to see. Her eyesight was blurred to the point where everything was just a giant colored splotch and her hearing was filled with a flat ringing noise. She closed her eye. It made her head throb trying to view everything. Everything hurt on her body and head. Scratches burned everywhere. Some areas were colder than the others, due to large patches of fur missing. Blood seeped out and matted what was left of her fur. She could taste the metallic tang of blood still in her dry mouth. Her left eye felt swollen and sealed shut. Her hind left legs felt bent at a weird angle. So did both of her wings. Every try at moving just caused a giant shock of pain, so she just laid there.

Her eye shot open at the sound of something different than the ringing noise. It was fading away, but the new noise still was unidentifiable and confusing. Her vision was clearing up too. She rolled her sore eyes to pick out two wolf shapes. One was stronger, mor muscular. The other was slightly smaller and thinner. The small one was a beautiful white and red. The other had black with small accents of white. Assuming they were there because they found her almost dead, she opened her mouth and tried to say something. But all that came out was a gurgling noise followed by a dry hack. She began to pick out more detail. They both looked concerned and muttered to each other again, but they both shot off at a fast pace. She tried to lift her head and call them back, but it caused pain to shoot into her neck. She lowered her bloodied head and closed her eye again, hoping that the end would come and finish her life quickly.

---

It had been almost two days since she woke up. She was starving and thirsty and it wasn't helping much if she had no energy to heal up her wounds. So here she was, dragging herself to a nearby river she heard gurgling nearby. Every movement wasn't as painful as before, but it still hurt. Yet she was determined to get to the water, maybe catch a fish or two if the river was big enough, and then clean off and find out how she got there and what her past was.

It had been the main thing on her mind while she waited on the cold dirt. How did she get there? What happened? Will anyone save her? Those questions still wandered inside of her head as she collapsed at the edge of the river. She closed her eye again, breathing heavily after pushing herself too hard to get to this water source. She opened her eye again to look at herself while she recovered. She was still covered in blood and now dirt was added to the mix. She noticed the large scratch across her eye and that the blood had dried up and sealed her eye shut. She inched closer to the river and greedily lapped up the water. It was cool and refreshing, curing her parched mouth. She would have to check on her other injuries later. Right now, all that mattered was to regain her energy.

---

It was okay for now, but maybe she didn't have time. Right at this moment, she was thinking. She stood in the river and, although still a bit weak, washed all of her wounds. She was deciding whether or not to stay here and be found, or go and find them. It had almost been a week now, so why not go and find them? Those wolves didn't seem to find help and get her all fixed up. So just save the trouble and go find them. She had her mind set on it. Getting out of the water on the other side of the river, she walked through the forest and began her journey to find out what happened to her that other day.

---

It was late afternoon. She had already wandered so far away from where she woke up. There was no way she was going to be able to find her way home, let alone find her way before it gets dark.

She sighed and rolled a berry around under her paw. She had been eating the bitter fruit in place of meat. She was in no shape to be able to hunt for small animals. But still, the berries kept her energy up while she traveled. Glancing up at the sky while munching on the berries, she noticed a blur of red at the corner of her left eye. She knew it was her left eye because she figured out that it was damaged enough to make things seem like she's looking out of a half-blind eye. She turned her head to get a better look. A cardinal was sitting up in a tree, eyeing her carefully. When she looked back, it twittered and tilted it's head to one side.

"Ah..." She was getting a bit weirded out by this bird. Hoping it would go away, she took some of the berries and rolled them out into the cardinal's direction. It swooped down and picked a few up at a time, gobbling each one down. When she thought the bird had flown out of sight at the last divebomb, it landed on her left shoulder. Startled, she almost shrieked and jumped back. It flew back into the sky, but landed back on her shoulder again when she recovered.

"Oh, I guess I can't get rid of you," she muttered to herself. The bird just gave a small caw. She thought about it for a second. Since her left eye was blurred but could still see color, maybe she can be able to use the cardinal in some way because of it's red feathers against the forest's natural colors. She would have to think through it later, right now she needed to find her way back to those other wolves.

---

It had been a couple of days now. She was still wandering the area, having no idea where anyone went. The trees eventualkly changed into a forest with pine trees held closely together.

She was stronger than she was before. The larger gashes were still healing up, but her back paw and her wings weren't doing so well. All of them were still broken from the fall. So she was still unable to fly and her gait seemed awkward.

On the other hand though, she and the cardinal named Crimson had figured out a plan. Crimson would fly in the trees to her left and alert her if there was an enemy or something dangerous using one call. If it could be something vital, like a dead squirrel another animal had carelessly left by a tree, then Crimson would use another type of call and sit right near it. It was easy to tell where the bird was because she was right about picking out the bright red against the dark background.

She walked along, her bird hovering in her sight to the left. It suddenly dropped on to a pine tree branch and let out an alarm. "Hmm? Where is it?" she asked. The bird shot forward and disappeared into the thick trees, leaving red feathers in it's wake. She sighed and took a step forward, only to be greeted by a flash of black tackling her to the ground. She winced as her wings hit the ground beneath her painfully. She turned and growled in the face of her opponent. There was no way she could fight back, but maybe she could talk her way out of this.

"State your name and business here," the wolf said sternly, his cyan blue eyes narrowing. She returned the stare coolly.

"And why should I?"

"You little-" He pressed more weight onto her shoulders and made her wince again.

"Tei! Stop it!" A flash of tan and green jumped from the trees and tackled Tei off of her. Two other wolves, one brown and the other gray, stepped out too. "Can't you see that she's lost and in pain?" The tan wolf scolded Tei while the two others approached her.

"Hey, are you okay?" the gray one asked quietly. He looked shy, but his eyes were filled with concern. She got back up and shook the dust from her fur, pain still burning in her wings.

"Of course she's not okay!" the brown wolf answered for her. "She's obviously been through some tough stuff. I mean look at her!" The new wolf walked around her. "Broken wings and left hind paw, fur torn out in many places, scratches everywhere, of course that's not a good thing, Frost!"

Frost just looked down and shifted his paws. "Sorry Nika," he mumbled. She looked Frost, then glanced back to see that Nika was still circling her.

"So, what's your name?" she asked, stopping in front of her. She froze. What was her name?

"I uh, I-I don't know," she said. Nika nodded slowly. She glanced over her and grinned.

"I know! Let's name you Senka!" she almost squealed. "You can come live with us at the Sanctuary!" She was still thinking about her new name. Senka. It had a nice ring to it, in her opinion anyway. And she considered Nika's next sentence. The Sanctuary? What was that?

"I hear your name is Senka," the tan wolf from before approached her with Tei trailing behind her. "I'm Avani and we would like to apologize for attacking you." Senka gave a small nod and glanced at Tei. Why did they attack her anyway? These wolves don't seem like the type to create a pack together.

"As Nika has probably suggested, you can come live at the Sanctuary with us. It's a highly protected area and if you had gone even farther than this, then the boundaries would have almost killed you, because of your condition, without our permission," Avani setted into a sitting position. "So would you like to take up on our offer and come live with us? Or would you rather continue your path?"

Senka shifted uncomfortably. Should she take up on their offer? Probably yes. they could provide shelter and possibly help her find those other wolves. She lifted her head and actually gave a tiny smile at the small group. "Yes, I would love to come live with you."

---

Senka had fit in with the others almost perfectly. She had a hard time with some of the others, but overall it went smoothly while living with the other canines.

It was almost another full week. Senka had completely forgotten about her quest and decided to just enjoy hanging with the other canines. Her wounds had mostly healed up and her fur was growing back. Her wings and hind leg were bound and should heal soon. And she had assumed Crimson had gone and lived it's own life in the forest here somewhere. She was content with her assigned den and her new job as the messenger wolf. Right now, she was eating breakfast with her new denmates/friends Avani, Lakota, and Frost. They all sat in a clearing, chatting quietly while munching on a deer they had brought down earlier.

Nika, the apprentice messenger, burst into their clearing. "We have two tresspassers!" she blurted before anyone could say anything. The group all stood up and stopped eating. "Come follow me! They're deciding if we should punish them or not," she said, turning and racing through the trees again. Senka's denmates dashed ahead, but she hesitated. Maybe it was just some wolves who wandered on to the boundaries, but punishment? It had to be others who were probably lingering at the borders for too long. Before she knew it, she sprinted through the trees along with the others.

Bursting into another larger clearing, Senka froze. It was those wolves. She recognized them. The white and red one and the black and white one. She narrowed her eyes and joined the small crowd at the edge as Tei brought the intruders to the middle. "We are all gathered here today to look upon these tresspassers on our territory. We shall see if they recieve punishment for their reason, or if they are found innocent," Tei announced. He sat down and nodded at them, giving them permission to speak.

They glanced at one another and then the white female spoke. "I, Kiri, and my brother Remo here are searching for a wolf by the name of Akila. She had fallen down a cliff. We found her brutally injured and went for help. But we somehow couldn't find our way back to her when we got someone. Eventually we did, but she was gone. We followed a scent trail. Our rescuers could not go any farther, so they left us to find out where our sister went. It happened to lead to your boundaries and we kind of forced our way through the security," she admitted. Remo kept looking out to the crowd with a calm look, going over each and every canine with his red eyes.

His eyes settled on Senka. She returned it coldly. They widened and he choked out, "A-Akila!" Senka frowned as every pair of eyes settled on her.

"What? I think you may have me mistakened for someone else. I am Senka," she replied. Or maybe it was true what they said. Maybe they were related to these two winged wolves. Maybe she did fall down a cliff. But it could be fake.

"Akila, it's us. Please remember," Kiri almost begged. "Just come with us to the edge of the boundary and we'll tell you everything." Senka didn't respond. As much as she wanted to, there was a high chance that it could be a trick. The canines began whispering among each other, taking glances at Senka and the tresspassers.

"Enoguh!" Tei's voice bellowed through the clearing and silenced everyone. "Now, do these wolves need punushment?" The crowd began whispering again. That was another thing senka liked about this group. Everyone got to vote and have some voice on the situation.

Avani stood as everyone quieted down. "We believe that they will be found innoccent and go unpunished." Nika murmured something in Avani's ear. She nodded and said, "On one condition. Senka, or Akila as you call her, must be able to know the truth of her past. If you lie, injure, or take Senka away from us, we will be warned to go and kill you. Understand?" The two wolves nodded. Avani gave a small smirk and sat back down. Senka was shocked, but a little glad. At least she would get to know what happened, and continue living her life at the sanctuary.

"Very well. Senka, please escort these intruders to the borders and learn about your history," Tei said. He glanced at Nika. She gave a slight nod and disappeared into the trees. What was that about? She probably wouldn't get to know. But she let it go as she walked with her supposed siblings, up around the borders. Before they walked out though, she stopped. The two other winged wolves stopped too. Sitting in front of them, she calmly glanced between the two. "Now tell me, what really happened that day..."

---

Senka walked back down the path. She looked unaffected, but on the inside she was shellshocked. It didn't revive any memories, but that was what really happened? She shook her head to clear her thoughts. "They weren't lying, you know." Nika dropped from the drees and landed next to Senka. She opened her mouth to ask but Nika got to it first. "Tei sent me to see if they told the truth. I can sense lies, you know. And I was like your watchdog for a little," she answered. Senka looked down at the wolf.

"Well played Nika," was all she said, not attempting to hide a small smile. Nika grinned and bounced ahead of her. Frost and Avani met up with her once she entered the clearing.

"You found out?" Frost asked. Senka gave a nod.

"I'm pretty sure I like living here better though," she answered.

Avani smiled. "Well that's good!"

Senka's eyes softened. "It is, isn't it?" she murmured. "I love this place, no matter how grumpy I can be sometimes. I will probably never leave here for a long, long time."

-End-

[Here's an etrememly short story in Senka's human form because I'll be including this form in the application as well]

"How did you convince me into doing this?" Two girls hid behind bushes, each sporting a long black jacket and hiding behind a bush. "Hey, it's not that bad. It's actually pretty nice," the other girl said. The first one rolled her eyes.

"So, are we going now or what Avani?" Senka was getting impatient at this moment.

"Alright, alright. Take your jacket off and leave it here. We'll enter the club in a little bit. Make sure to look for Scorch and Tei, they should be there," Avani replied, standing up and pulling off her jacket. Senka did the same. They were both dressed in a way that is sort of casual, but also good for partying.

They walked into the club. This place was only meant for others who had a human form and were born with a different form. So technically that guy or this girl can be a furry or a cat. To regular old humans, it appeared as a broken down and abandoned small warehouse. They held special drink mixes in here. It wasn't like the stuff that humans drank and it wasn't as dangerous. But you could still get drunk and do some pretty stupid things.

Senka was greeted with the loud dance music pounding in her ears. Chatter and laughter filled the air. Neon lights lit up on the dance floor, illuminating bodies moving to the beat of the music. Some sat at the bar, drinks in hand. And that's where Senka and Avani made their way up to. The music wasn't as loud and it didn't seem as busy.

"Hey girls," An arm rested on Avani's shoulders. A tall, dark-haired Tei stood next to a slightly shorter red-head. Scorch smirked at Senka, causing her to roll her eyes.

Avani smiled at Tei. "Tipsy already?" He shook his head.

"Actually, he is," Scorch said flatly. Avani shrugged and pulled him out to the dance floor. "So Sen..." he turned to her and draped and arm over her shoulders. "How about I buy you a drink?"

---

Now here Senka was, sitting at the bar, completely drunk and sitting with a guy she found kinda hot at the moment. It was extremely late. The crowd was thinning out. Most had left already. The rest were either still dancing, passed out, or making out.

Senka stumbled off of her chair and pressed close to Scorch. "Carry me home tonight? I don't think I can walk," she breathed in his ear, heavy with the scent of alcohol. He pulled her in close. "Of course," he replied.

He picked her up bridal style and walked down to the entrance. "Tei, Avani, you guys can stop making out. We're going home," Senka slurred as they passed by. They were up against the wall and, disappointed, began trailing after the other two. They walked into a nearby hotel and checked in. They did this right when they walked into the human world because well, you can never be too sure that you can teleport smoothly when drunk.

Scorch and Senka walked down the hall. "This room right here Scorch," she said weakly. "Avani, where's the room key?" They turned to see that they were making out again. Without interuppting their session, Avani pulled out a key and handed it to Scorch. He pushed open the door and set Avani on the bed.

"Hey Scorch?" He turned around as he was about to leave Senka. "I have a feeling that Tei and Ava are going to fall alseep in the hall. Stay and sleep in the other bed," she murmured. He sighed and gave a small smile.

"I think so too Sen," he said, before collapsing onto the other bed and going to sleep.

---

Senka's eyes shot open. It was morning. She sat up quickly, only to realize she had a pounding headache. "Oh jeez," she groaned, yet she continued to pull herself to the edge of the bed. Holding her head, she glanced out into the hall. There was Tei and Avani, slumped together and fast asleep. She looked back into the room and saw Scorch asleep in the second bed.

"Well, we had a busy night didn't we?" Senka muttered to herself. She quickly changed clothes and limped to go get a ginger ale.

-Forests of any kind (natural forests, not something crazy like a cheese forest -.-)
-Peace and quiet
-Cool, shady areas
-Small places
-Teaching herself things
-Organization
-Looking at the clouds
-Rain
-Flying
-Getting away from reality (sometimes)
-Soda (especially Sprite)
-Being able to outsmart others
-Scorch (not like, loves him [*cough cough* lies *is killed*] or anything but does admire him in some way)

Dislikes:
-Bright sunlight/neon colors
-Being reminded of her past
-Explaining things over and over again
-Untidyness
-Dumb people
-Being outwitted
-Large places
-Lots of people
-Having all the attention on her
-Deserts
-Being trapped underground (just a large fear, it hasn't really happened to her)
-Not knowing what the heck is going on
-Tea
-Greasy food
-Sunny, optimistic people (always annoys her, although she doesn't lose her head)

Mate:
No one for now (hear that boys? *hint hint wink wink*)
-Heterosexual/straight
-Likes guys who can take the lead. Although she may not act like it, Senka is extremely unconfident around guys. She'll seem like she doesn't care and isn't interested, but inside she's just nervous
-Boys who can get to her inner self, her real and helpless self inside. Someone to understand and not feel like she shouldn't be alone
-Guys who can be rough or be the badboy, but doesn't keep up the act all the time. There's no way Senka is going out with a sissy or someone who won't drop the act

Age:
-15 years old in her human form
-Around 2 years in wolf form

Birthday:
November 8th

Forms:
-Original-
In her original form, you see Senka as she is now. The beautiful, pessimistic winged wolf right up there at the top of my form

-Human-
Senka appears as a 15 year old girl in this form. She is 5"6 for height and weighs 137 pounds. Her hair is houlder length and jet black, yet it has some thick black stripes on the left side (our left, her right) of her hair. It also has some white-blond smaller streaks in it. Her skin is a little more tanner than others, though people would think that it would be paler (Senka likes to go outside a lot, what can I say?). Her eyes both stay as they are right now, one silver and the other cobalt blue. She has her ears pierced twice on each ear. They are just silver studs, right above each other, nothing too special. She wears a red t-shirt with a black and white vector splatter design on the right corner (once again, our right, her left). She wears torn, dark blue skinny jeans with a chain hanging off of one side (our left) and red high top converse shoes. Senka wears fingerless black gloves that both go a little past each elbow. Her left has thin white stripes going horizontally and red stripes on her right (from our view). She also tends to wear mascara and eyeliner a lot, sometimes a little bit of dark blue or silver eye shadow.

-Kemonomimi-
Senka appears as she does in her human form. Her hair is not 'dyed' tough, just a plain black. The earrings are also gone. She gains her black wolf ears, tail, and her wings. They are tiny chibi wings though and tend to just disappear and appear randomly. The markings that appear on Senka's original form will appear on this form (ie. the white dots under her eyes will appear under her eyes in this form). The markings on her legs strangely do not appear though, but it already is slightly represented because of her gloves.

Strengths:
-Flight (well, she does have wings you know)
-Blends in with the shadows/darkness/night
-Slightly faster than other wolves (long distance runner)
-Thickly forested terrain
-Stubborn (will not spill any information for example)
-Quiet/sneaky
-Smart
-Plans usually work well (they are well thought and organized)
-Enhanced hearing and smell (cannot rely on her eyesight much)
-Prepared
-Always calm/never loses temper

Weaknesses:
-Strength
-Her eyesight
-Stubborn (like she refuses to cooperate with a plan other than hers)
-Open places (the desert, maybe fields)
-Extreme heat (can handle extreme cold though)
-The sun/daylight
-Temptation (this one isn't very big, but some offers will pull her in quite quickly)
-Being alone (would be a pretty bad thing if she got caught, eh?)
-Never did well with fires

Short/Written Description:
(This is mostly for me just because I'm going to end up forgetting how to describe her in the shortest way possible *ends up doing too much detail sometimes*)
Senka appears as a black winged wolf. Her left eye is a pale gray color (due to an accident and ended up half blind in this eye) and the other is dark ocean blue. Both ears have thin stripes going across and alternating between white and red. Her chest fur is white, along with a red tipped tail. There are three white dots under each eye. There are three red dots on the left and right sides of the bridge of her nose. Her wings are dotted with flashes of red and white feathers. From our view, her hind left leg is covered in thin white stripes and her right front leg is covered in thin red stripes.

In her human form, Senka appears as a 5"6 tall, 15 year old girl. She is a little bit more on the tan side because of her time spent outdoors. On her left side of her shoulder length, black hair has varying sized streaks of red and white. Both ears are pierced twice and have silver studs right above each other. Her red t-shirt has a black and white splatter design on the right bottom corner. She often has dark blue faded jeans that are torn and are paired with red high top converse. She has black fingerless gloves that go just past her elbows with thin red stripes on her right and white on the left. She wears mascara and eyeliner, sometimes the occasional dark blue or silver eye shadow.

Her kemonimimi form is just like her human form, except she has her black ears and tail. She also has chibi wings that disappear at random times then comes back. Her hair doesn't have any streaks in it anymore and her studs are missing. The markings that appear on her original form appear on this form also, but the markings on her legs are not there because her gloves already represent them.

-This section was just something I should put up to set for acknoledgements and maybe a little more info for my form (like this one doesn't have enough already)
-This has probably the most longest post I have ever made. Congrats for reading through it all!
-The opening quote is by Annie Dillard
-I can't afford art. I know it doesn't make a big difference but I thought it would be a nice addition.
-I just wanted to say why I put Senka's original picture up there. I've had my eye on her for awhile, and although I know I shouldn't of gotten attached, I felt something kind of click while writing the application. I didn't want her just because of a pretty custom (I'm sorry if I hurt you Aeo! Your art is beautiful and it was meant to attract members but I just don't see her because of a nice drawing) I really wanted Senka as my character, just another one to love and care for. I really am hoping that I get her, but I can believe you if I don't. I face some experienced members and this will be my first time applying for a character!

Thank you for considering my form and good luck to all!

I'm very harsh when judging, so feel free to be as harsh on my work as you want. I want to have every single possible error pulled out, every example of bad wording etc so I can fix it and make it as good as I know I can make it. My writing has been a little rusty recently, and I do not want it to decline.

I will be here
when you think you’re all alone
Seeping through the cracks
I’m the poison in your bones
My love is your disease
I won't let it set you free
Til I break you

You’ll never know what hit you
Won’t see me closing in
I’m gonna make you suffer
This hell you put me in
I’m underneath your skin
The devil within
You’ll never know what hit you

I tried to be the lover to your nightmare
Look what you made of me
Now I’m a heavy burden that you can’t bear
Look what you made of me
Look what you made of me
I’ll make you see

Congrats to our winners; the code drop is now posted! I'll be spending the next hour or so adding up donations and revamps and fixing broken links, plus updating our contests, events, and staff. Keep your eyes peeled for the new round! Bear with me as we undergo some brief updates. x3

Thanks,

Oh...well, congrats Solanum. ^^
You're very lucky you won 'The Investigator.'
I wasn't aware that un-finished forms could win? Oh well.
goodbye, hours and hours spent on that stupid no good story~
I'm traveling til Friday w/ no access to my tablet!

Mostly quitting CS; I'll check messages on occasion but DA or Skype is probably a better place to contact me.

Charchar, your form was neck-and-neck to Solanum's. In fact, I had to request that an anonymous judge be a tie-breaker for it. It was incredibly close, and personally, I thought that both of your forms had winning potential and quality. As long as a form has enough information in it to even BE judged, it qualifies as a contender for winning. I hope you won't see this as a reason to no longer apply. Indeed, the competition was close, but I know you can provide a good home for a character as well. c:

Everything's updated except for the success stories, so the round is open~
We have 3 revamps and 12 new donations up in the kennels, so go see if any of them catch your eye. ^u^
Back to our normal 3 character limit; we have Christmas-themed code words. xD Let's see how many characters we can get nito a new home for Christmas!

Good luck~
