If there is still accepting of forms I'm going to try for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. ^^
I would like to adopt!
Number: 5
Picture:

Name: Chito
Species: Canine > Dog > Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Personality: Chito is, as some might say, 'to smart for his own good'. He is friendly for the most part, somewhat reserved with strangers. If he is left by himself Chito will find something to do, whether it is destructive or not. He likes almost all dogs, and can quickly find his place amoung them. With humans it isn't quite so, he'll bond with one or two, but never really will completely trust others.
Likes: Running, other dogs, collars, human food, playing, fetching
Dislikes: Groups of people, leashes, dog food, being walked, being in a cage
Background:
The Corgis were the largest breed in that shed, accompanied by Shih Tzus, Malteses, and many other toy breeds.
Of the dogs born in Fall, Thai and Chito were the last ones to be brought to the Pet Store. The man came in,
taking their cage, draping a towel over it, then putting them both in a car. After the grueling drive they
were dropped off in a cage that did not have a top. Thai was quick to be adopted, being a 'cute little fluff
ball', but no one seemed to ever look at Chito. The pup grew into his skin, getting to be the oldest dog in
the shop. No one wanted an adult dog, and Chito didn't seem to want them either.
One day, his Corgi mind took over and he escaped from the pen. Nobody made an effort to look for him. Chito
was just another dog to be forgotten about. He became adapted to the city life, digging through the trash,
trying not to get hit by cars. The stray had never grown to trust humans, and at the age of 1 and a half years
old, he'd never had a real home.
A boy, about the age 13, was walking through the park one day, with an empty collar and leash in his hand,
calling "Sparky!" as he walked. With a heavy sigh, the boy stopped and set the collar down on a bench, then
sat down in the shade. Chito slunk up to the blue collar and curiously stuck his head through, unnoticed by
the boy. The Corgi didn't know any better, and soon it was around his neck and the leash started 'chasing'
him. Chito bolted off, barking at the leash as he ran. The boy noticed this and chased after Chito, stepping
on the leash and sending the poor Corgi flying backward with a yelp.
The boy whispered softly, slowly bringing Chito towards him. Reluctantly, the Corgi stayed as far back on his
leash that he possibly could. The boy took out small treats and offered them to Chito, trying to gain his
trust. After a while, the dog would eat out of his hand, but still very timidly. The boy took of the leash and
started walking. Chito raised his nose, sniffing around, then followed him.
They walked back to the boy's house, and a girl, much younger than the boy, ran out yelping, "I found him, I
found him!" with a black and white Shih Tzu trailing behind her. An older girl, most likely the older sister
to both the little girl and the boy, came out and quizically looked at Chito. "Alex, did you fall and bump
your head? That looks nothing like Sparky." The older girl asked. "I gathered that Laura. He followed me
here."
"Puppy!" The little sister cried, pointing at Chito happily.
"If he followed you here, why is he wearing Sparky's collar?" Laura asked.
"He got stuck." Alex retorted.
"I'm not stupid, Alex. You had to of put that on her." The sister said.
"Him, and no!" The boy said, heading up the path towards the house, looking back as Sparky and Chito followed
him.
When they put the dogs in the back yard, Chito and Sparky emediatly recognized eachother. Although the family
had changed his name, it was infact Thai, the Shih Tzu that Chito was raised with. When Alex's mother came home, she didn't seem to happy, and Chito was brought to the Humane Society. Alex left the collar on Chito, visiting the dog every day when he didn't have some activity to do out of school. One day, after about a month of seeing the dog every day, Chito wasn't there. The workers explained that Chito had escaped, and that was about the last time they ever saw him.
