I'm glad that everybody liked their lions C: I colored my line-art about 70 times this CC 8D

I don't mean to step on any toes, but isn't twice a day a little high a limit for something like this? Since it's been going on so long, I would think twice a week would be plenty for folks, yet still give others a chance to order.

The CC only lasts from dec 1 till the last day of december. If you could only order twice a week, that means you can only get 6 line-arts, eventho there are 34. I tried ordering twice a day and stalked the thread quite often..and even still didn't manage to get all slots C: 34 line-arts are allot of line-arts and there's no way to get them all if you can only order twice a week. You can only order once from every line-art, so everybody has a chance of getting the lines.

Since december is passed, the CC is closed, so nobody is opening/ordering any more C:

2 orders a day, but only one of each line-art... ;P It shouldn't matter anymore now anyways, as the CC is closed.

Dear god, at this moment I have 146 png files saved in my christmas corp folder, which means 73 finnished ones so far since all orders have two sizesXD And on top of that I still have all psd files left OTL

I guess I didn't think this was a 'gotta collect them all' kind of thing. Ordering free art from all 34 artists just because you can seems to defeat the spirit of this event. Most people would be happy with one, let alone six.

Over or not maybe that is something that could be kept in mind for next year. I guess it will be a madhouse either way, but you've demonstrated exactly my point.

Im sorry, but i dont see your point. Every artist signed up here knowing they'd be doing lots of free art. Its up to them how many orders they take and how many times they open.

Just because i tried to get all lines, doesnt mean i appreciate them less. I am thankfull for all the art ive been given. You dont have to order every day, you dont have to collect them all. Thats all up to you. But the chance to get them all should be given.

The joy of being picked for a line-art is great, especially in the spirit of christmas. I would have allot less fun if i could only order twice a week and thus have to pick favorites amongst the lines, instead of just ordering and loving the fact that im getting free art.

I guess its just a little weird seeing someone complain/debating about there being too much ordering, most people are happy with the 2 a day rule.

I agree with DaDwarf, I think it's amazing that these artists are doing something like this, not everyone would be willing to do this. Hopefully, all of us love it when we get accepted for a spot and are willing to wait patiently for the artist, and we all love the art we get right?

Yet, even though it seems like a madhouse to you, Selkiegal, the mods and even the fairing patrons of CS keep things well under crontrol. If someone posts for closed lines, someone tells them- quite calmly might I add- that they are closed.

However, it's not a 'lets get all the lines' kind of deal anyway. Around the middle of the events, Artists tend to slow down, making an art opening quite rare. Although some get bent out of shape, most wait patently and understand that you probobly won't just come on an stumble apon an open lineart. They don't stay open for long regardless, so it's a waiting game.

I don't know how many do this, but some like to go and personally thank each artist for their time and effort, and even throw in a little tip when they can. It's not for just a bunch of spoiled brats to get free stuff. It's to celebrate the gift of giving, and allowing a previous few who couldn't normally order art, to get free art.
Whats the harm in that?

Besides, you seem to be the only one unhappy with the 2 a day.
