I GIVE UP!! I must go for him!! *is determined*
Tracker Dog Application Series 9

Username:
Snowballz is Epic
Tracker Dog you want:
#29
Name you'll give it:
Dune
Reason why you want it:
I have always loved Dune. Once, Luminance asked me to draw a picture of Dune for her, and I instantly fell in love with him. He was so much fun to draw, and I envied her for owning him. I wished I could have him, and by some miracle, he was put up for adoption again! People might say that he's to "common" or he's to "plain", but i love him! He is a perfect find for me! I love his "forresty" colors, and it reminds me of my beautiful cabin up north, in which I have spent all of my greatest and funnest times. it reminds me of my loving and fun relatives, and all of the fun things we've done together at our cabin. I really want him badly, and I hope you allow me to be his owner. I mean, I've tried for many many many Trackers now, and I still haven't won one. This time, I hope that I win with all of my heart's desire. This would make my year if I won him. I love him with all of my heart. He is AMAZING, and so are you for making him. I have a deep connection with this Tracker, and I hope that you see me as his new owner.

Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes, I will use him in tons of stories and give him tons of love and attention.
Trust me, he'll be in good hands if I win him.

Describe its personality:
Fun Loving
Dune loves to have fun with anything. If you give him something living, he will have fun with it. But he always know when the right time is to have fun, and will never have fun when the time isn't right to goof off. It's not that he doesn't have fun on missions, don't get me wrong, he enjoys them thoroughly. He just won't goof off when he's not supposed to.
Determined
Ever since Dune was abandoned by his old owner, he has been determined to please everyone. He never wants to make any enemies, and loves everyone. But since he didn't fit his old owner, he really wants to make sure this doesn't happen again. He is very serious on missions, an will always do his job without question.
Friendly
Because of his playful nature, Dune here loves to make new playmates. His favorite thing to do is play with friends. You just give him a living organism and he will be-friend it. You could be the meanest creature on Earth and still, you'd love this guy. It's guaranteed. See it says on his adoption tag, "Guaranteed That You'll Love Him. If Not, Send Him Back and We'll Give You a Full Refund.". No, I'm joking, but you WILL love him.
Innocent
Dune is just being Dune. If you accuse, I will guarantee that he is innocent- or is he? Dune would never do anything wrong on purpose, and if he DID do something, it was for a good reason- most of the time. I mean, Dune is so kind that he would never do anything to harm anyone.
Loyal
Because he was abandoned, Dune is loyal to anyone that he CAN be loyal to. If someone likes him, he will stay loyal to that person, come heck or high water, he will stay at your side through thick and thin. He loves everyone and will stay with everyone possible. One of his favorite things to say is "Over my dead body," and he lives by this motto. If anything endangered anything, he would die to save another. There is no doubt in my mind that he would die to save a fly's life.
Sympathetic
Because Dune knows how it feels to be hurt, since he was abandoned, he is very sympathetic to everyone that needs sympathy. He'll stay at your side until your better, so don't you worry. Don't worry, because Dune loves you.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
Yes, I did get permission from lolsaya to put Andromeda into my story.
-----
My ear twitched as Luminance slowly closed the door behind her. I looked at the other two Trackers in the room with me, one light blue male and one dangerous-looking female. I inched slowly towards the door, scratching at it and whining silently. But I knew Luminance didn't come back for me. I was all alone. My only friend was the dust particles. And now, I was determined to change my life, along with the lives of everyone around me.
-----
I looked at my new "playmates", mesmerized. I was scared of the dark female who loomed in front of me. Her snaking organs and bony armor chilled me to the bone. "Hi?" I offered. She had no response to this, so I turned to the blue male, #27. "Hello." I said with a grin. "Hi." he said. Just as we had started a friendship, the door creaked open. Nex, my creator, stepped through the open door. I wagged my tail, even though I was still very upset about Luminance abandoning me. Nex looked at me fondly. I saw the pity in her eyes. She crouched down and looked me in the eyes. "I assure you, I get you a good owner." she said. I looked up, unsure. But I looked into Nex's eyes and knew she was telling me the truth.
-----
I noticed the door that was propped open behind Nex. My eyes flashed, and a flame burned inside me. With a sudden jerky motion, I sprinted out the door and down the metallic hallways. I darted down the hall towards the exit, being careful to keep my paws light on the aluminum floor. The door was in sight now. "I've got this in the bag!" I thought. Then a figure walked into the open door, closing it tightly behind them. It was a Facility Officer. My mind raced as I made eye contact with the officer. My mouth gaped. Just as the officer was reaching for his walkie-talkie, I saw the lights flicker overhead, and then everything was pitch black. "This is my chance!".
I raced passed the confused officer towards the door.
I lunged at the handle, turning it with all my might.
The huge door squeaked as it swung forward.
The officer yelled behind me as I lunged into the open air, kicking the door closed with my back feet.
I was free.
-----
I leaped into the grass with enthusiasm. I rolled in the fresh scent, my tongue lolling. I saw the bushes rustle nearby. I leaped up, excited. "A new playmate!". But this wasn't the case. I approached the bush, my tail wagging excited. But as I came closer, I heard a faint growl coming from within the bush. I stuck my nose in, sniffing curiously. Tracker scent. The growl became louder, and then my nose started bleeding. I yanked back, startled. Growling, I prodded the bush with a claw. The growl from inside subsided and Andromeda stepped out of the bushes, her horrifying figure stepping towards me. I tried to put a smile on my face to hide my absolute fear. Her toxic external organs sizzled lethally. I looked at her, scared to death. "What if she shoots me with that toxic stuff?" the thought raced through my brain. Her huge muscles tensed, and I cowered, unsure what would happen next.
-----
This was to much suspense for me, so I raced off in a different direction. Andromeda just stayed where she was. This "freedom" hadn't turned out like I had imagined, so I swerved towards the facility. I raced in the door and sneaked my way into a group of Trackers and their owners going out on a mission. I'd always wanted to go on a mission, so I slunk into the pack of Tracker dogs when no one was watching me. I strutted in line, careful to make myself unnoticed. I heard the leader giving commands, so I gave him my full attention. "Our mission today is to find Tracker #28 at all costs." he was saying. "Her toxins can be used for horrible things, and if she is not found, they will most likely be used for horrible things." his voice was stern and orderly. "If you happen to find Tracker #29, please escort him back to his facility. But #28 is our highest priority. Now, go!" he dismissed the Trackers with a wave of his hand, and so I followed a random Tracker dog. It was a dark brown Tracker, and I slunk around, stalking it. After a while, I realized that this was to dangerous for me to be doing, so I ran off and into the facility.
-----
It was still dark in the facility, so this made for easy access. I sneaked down the halls, trying to be careful. I knew I was almost there when I heard an officer nearby, my head turned, I continued walking on. Suddenly, I bumped into Nex. I cowered, scared of being punished. But Nex still couldn't see in the dark, so I was able to sneak on down the hall and slip my way into the room, silently. The light blue male was no longer there. "He must be going to get ready for his adoption". I fell back into the corner of the room, but i had fallen on something huge. It seemed to be... Oh no. It was the horrifying figure of Andromeda. She growled, and I raced to the other end of the room before she could lunge at me. I shivered in the corer, afraid of my future.
-----
I was huddled there for a long while, how long I'm not sure. But as I shivered there, I heard a window smash somewhere across the room. Sunlight sprinkled in through the broken window, and I growled. The figure that stood there was a bandit. Sirens sounded and the bandit looked confused and scared. Andromeda growled at him angrily. The bandit saw her and smiled. He was reaching for her, about to take her away, when I made a split-second decision. I lunged forward, barking and snarling at him. He saw me and grabbed Andromeda, hauling her out of the broken window. He must have been very strong, considering she weighs a ton. I was heart-broken. I had failed her. I fell down, horribly sad and upset.
I had failed.
But I knew know what I had to do.
I had to fix that.

-----
This was it.
I slunk out the broken window stealthily, determined to find Andromeda. I followed the blood scent the bandit had left form a scrape in his arm that he received from the broken window. I sneaked through the woods, following the trail. The blood became thicker the farther I went. "Andromeda must be giving him a hard time". I almost laughed, but then I realized that that this would be incredibly mean, so I held it in. I tracked the scent for hours. The time just flew right past me, waiting for me to catch up. the only thing that drove me forward was that, at the end, I could save lives.
-----
It was dark by the time I reached the cabin. I heard growling and a man struggling from the inside of the cabin. In the cover of the darkness, I crept into the log cabin. A man who was much larger than the bandit was standing next to Andromeda, suffocating her barks. I slunk closer and closer, unseen, and I caught some of their conversation. "What now?" "We extract some of the toxins, then brainwash her into thinking that WE are the ones who are good." "Oh... Okay.". I turned away, unable to listen any longer. I padded past them, and then I was standing next to Andromeda, who was freaking out. "I'll get you out." I barked quietly. Her struggling stopped, and I bit the hand that was suffocating her very lightly, then darted under a nearby table. "Ow!" he said, pulling his hand away from Andromeda. "A bee stung me!" he looked at the blood that welled on his hand. I smiled from under the table. "Now." I barked at Andromeda as I darted out from under the table, attacking the bandits with brute force. "Andromeda, toxins!" I barked at her. She nodded and shot each bandit in turn with a small dose of toxins. The bandits fell over, paralyzed. "Let's go!" I gestured towards the door, and we darted away towards the facility as the cries of the bandits echoed from the cabin.

Tracker Dog you want: #27
Image
Name you'll give it: Hunter A26, Designation: Seeker
Reason why you want it:
In my plotline, experiments are being made to create the perfect weapon- something I believe suits this species extremely well-, and each of the experiments are, in some way, flawed. However, Seeker, as he will call himself, needs no flaws. He fits the idea of the tracking dog of the anthromorphic beings perfectly- they, after all, need someone to be able to go after any escapees that might leave their facility's cages. I also connect with him on a deep level... I can understand his actions and why he thinks the way he does.

Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes; as stated, this storyline involves the creation of creatures meant to track and kill targets- the enemy camps- using the idea of a "clean kill". That is to say, the "Subject" must kill the target without leaving a trace of either death, or, at the very least, evidence that could be traced back. With these Subjects, there tends to be escapees- that's where Seeker comes in. He hunts down any and all that dare try to leave the arctic compound's authority, never mind if he must eventually kill them while bringing them back. He accompanies the Subjects during their missions, and is often allowed to roam free on the grounds- he is, after all, trusted, especially by his main trainer, Mitsche.

Describe its personality:

Loyal. Seeker would do- and does- anything for his owners in the facility. He always completes his tasks, no matter what he must do in order to do so. He has never let the compound down.
Diligent. Seeker must listen closely to the Subjects as they work on their missions. Any sign of flight, and he is onto them, never straying more than a few feet as they work. His rough silhouette is said to be in the nightmares of those that survive the escorting back after such an event.
Hardy. When the going gets tough, Seeker bears it without dispute. He doesn't mind starving through missions, because he knows his masters will reward him.
Athletic. Seeker loves to run. Be it on a casual romp or during a chase, he gets exhilarated, believing, for a brief moment, that he can fly.
Idealistic. Seeker tries to believe in an ideal world... but the Subjects seem to tear that away from him repeatedly.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
[Written in logbook form, as in research facility lab notes. Green notes are from the computer receiving the transmissions by the Facility's database.]

[Connecting to database.... connected.]
[Log 2c - Seeker tracking log for Facility 112]

Log 2c.C: Hunter A26 has been brought into the facility. He is young, and has taken to Researcher 3-M [Designation: Mitsche] very well. She is scheduled to train him as he grows; any failure is to be placed on her shoulders. He took to the arctic weather incredibly quickly; never before has the Facility even had such an animal that could take the cold and enjoy it so much. His senses seem in order; payment to the breeder is in order for such a fine specimen.

Log 2c.H: Hunter A26 [Designation: Seeker] was put through his paces today. He has had some training from Mitsche since he arrived, and has learned everything that she has offered him thus far. He can now recognize a Clean Kill; now to train him to recognize a failed kill, as well as inclinations to flight. He is to accompany the weapons as they hunt their targets, and make sure that they do as they're told and return; we have lost and had to kill too many of our Subjects. This is the humane decision we have come to in Logbook 1y.S-X.

[Attempting to connect to Logbook 1y.S... Connection failed.]
[Retry? Y N]
[Returning to Logbook 2c.H... Return successful.]

He is also extremely athletic; in the Exhaustion Run, he ran for three and a half hours, stopping only for water. His top speed reached was .1 km/hr faster than our fastest Subject, which is acceptable for now. He will be in speed training indefinitely- we need fast Hunters. He has also proven himself loyal; in one of our more questionable tests, he decided he would rather stick with Mitsche than side with the animatronic puppets... though this test seems too unreliable to preserve the exact results.

Log 2c.N: Seeker's Tracker senses have saved him; in a test field excursion, he discovered a land mine planted by our enemies before it could go off. His accompaniment, an old, loyal Subject sent to scout an area, returned unscathed, save for tooth marks in his ear from Seeker himself. It seems that it is his way of ensuring dominance as he escorts others, as long as he can reach said ears. He has not bitten an employee at the Facility.

Log 2c.S: Seeker's Exhaustion run time has improved by several notches. He now can run for four hours, with fewer water breaks, and top speed has improved by .6 km/hr. His puppy stage is finishing, and though he has lost much of the excess energy he had, he has gained determination visible in his stance. His legs and shoulders are more strongly built than any of the other Hunters we have. He is certainly more alert, and has been recorded to react within a half a minute of the mere thought of flight. However, he still needs training before we can send him on missions with our more dangerous Subjects, such as the ones being shipped in today. Subject 346 has shown multiple signs of violent escape with one attempt already behind him, and Subjects 158 and 159 are mentally unbalanced Stealth killers. We have our hands full.

Log 2c.V: Seeker has proven himself yet again; in a low-priority mission with a thought-to-be loyal Subject, the Subject tried to flee, but was disabled by Seeker and brought back to the Facility. The mission was a failure, but the Subject was not lost. Records of how Seeker disabled the Subject are in Mission Logbook 24.D.

[Connect to Mission Logbook 24. D? YN]
[Returning to Log 2c.V... Return successful.]

A sense test performed today also showed that Seeker's hearing has improved twofold since his arrival at the Facility. Training has done well for this Hunter.

Log 2c.Y: Seeker was allowed to walk the Facility unhampered today. He seemed attracted to the containment portals of Subjects 346, 158 and 159. Perhaps he senses their individual natures? 346 has proven himself hard to contain; he has killed one Researcher already, and may not hesitate to kill another. 158 is simply insane; one moment, he is Safe, and the other, he is Tranced, ready to kill. And 159 is... psychotic. She is constantly in a state between Tranced and Safe, and is therefore very unsafe to be around. Today, Seeker paced between the three doors, his ears flicking between each of them in turn. He was tense; ready to strike out if one of the three chose to escape. Security has been tightened on those three.

[Connecting to Logbook 2d... Connection successful.]

Log 2d.B: Seeker started pawing at his containment portal door today. Researchers on the other side of the facility say that 346 was pounding on the walls of his pen, weakening the south wall. Perhaps they are connected?

While being stuck on either this one or Metallic Dragon's one, I went for this one. The logs were well done, the reason is good and the personality's nicely worked out as well. I know, I hear you all thinking; "Nex, stop going for incomplete forms!" but seriously, this form is a good example of -fairly- short and sweet. It all adds up, and that's what's important. I also found myself to be very curious as to what happens next. Congrats, 3B.

A tip to you all, keep it a short story, don't write a book. I don't mind reading, but I have enough books to read for book reports and essays already. :c

Edit: Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to bed..

After going back and looking at my own form, I decided it was too long with the added Epilogue and decided to take the Epilogue off. I have stories for that anyway, I can tell what happened to them later if I win anyway >>

Thank you, Nex! ^.^ I had been planning to work on it more after I got out of class... but by then, you'd already started judging. xD I'll finish it off when I have the time, if you want to read it. And I love my Logbook format for certain applications. :3
