Love Song
Species/Breed:
"Lovey"Draft Horse
Gender:[female β]
Personality:Love Song is a strong hearted girl. This is true to the extent that she has bought herself the nickname of "Love Strong" from her cart-mate Ricky. Love is her fortΓ©, and French is her favorite language as it has been deemed the 'language of love'. Love songs and love stories are her specialties. Often times a soft humming can be heard from her pasture or her stall, and she's always loved to tell epics of great love-adventure stories to Ricky. Love Song believes that anything can be mended by a simple, kind, open heart and a receiving, open mind. She's always taken great pleasure in helping others in need. She has a sturdy body build and rippling muscles in her strong, thick legs that make her great for her cart-horse job. Her main occupation is pulling the horse-drawn carriages and sleighs at a local park with her friend previously mentioned, Ricky. She enjoys pulling the carts because she finds it incredibly romantic. Her favorite time of the year is Christmas time, when the park trees are lit with extravagant lights that blink and sing Christmas songs and the visitors' hands are full of coffee and coca mugs with tiny marshmallows and candy cane sticks. Long Song has a load of fighting instinct in her, but she's a gentle one in personality.
Reason You Want It:I recall seeing this design here the first time around. She was donated by one of my good CS friends, JerseyDusk. She didn't catch my attention much at first, because at the time I had many horse characters and not enough uses for them. Now, however, I've expanded my broads and am much more open to natural horse characters with unnatural markings. I absolutely love the revamp on this darling! The script is fancy, and the markings are darling! I think that with all of her characteristics put together, she makes one of my dream horse characters. c: I have a lot of issues writing for horse characters - I think that perhaps Lovey could help me strengthen that weakness a bit. I will be able to exercise my equine writing with lots of short stories. I also am unable to draw horses well, and I think she'd be good to practice this as well. c: She'll be a sketchy character at first, but after exercising her use for a while I have no doubts that she can become one of my main characters, or at least my most prominent horse character.
History/Background/Other:Born and raised on a historical site, the community park, Love Song has been a pampered horse all of her life. She's grown up surrounded by many strong draft horses raised for the purpose of transporting villagers and providing good friends to the park operators. She's known her friend Ricky since the day that she was born, and even though he's a bit older than her, they get along very well.
Art:
Love Song has a main handler that tends to her mane and fur, and he likes to braid her hair. Most of her love songs have been taken from them; he's noticed that it calms her when she's getting a wash or a brush-down. Love Song analyzes each word that he says, and in turn, she memorizes the songs and takes them back to Ricky.
Lovey spends most of her time pulling horse-drawn carriages in the summer and sleighs in the winter, and the majority of down time is spent with Ricky delighting in many golden delicious apples and sugar cubes. She has a passionate friendship and a warm love for Ricky, and in the near future I'd certainly expect a foal. ^^
---
The strong muscles of Love Song's legs rippled beneath her hide and she walked. She murmured a few soft lyrics to her favorite long song, and turned to Ricky. It seemed as though their coats shined brighter today; as though their muzzles were warmer when they touched in a friendly greeting.

Name You'd Choose for It: Balder, I would like to keep it
Species/Breed: Draft
Gender: Male
Reason You Want It: Well I will be perfectly honest and say that, I actually own his other Mother and she is a very close character to me, I loved his design right away when they had pups together but let the other owner keep him. Now that I have a chance I would Love to take it and snap this beautiful boy and his mom up.
History/Background/Other:
He always knew something was off, he traveled the plains with her Mother ever since he was a colt but after all the years of his life he never truly learned what happened to his father. His mother didn't exactly answer his questions well, even getting angry at the topic. Once he was old enough he began to wear her down, asking constantly about any information he could get. Out of lack of patience his Mother finally broke, now all there was left to do was find this mansion she spoke of. She was very upset at his leaving so he talked her into coming but he regrets it as she seems in a foul mood.
"So do I look like him?" He asked as we slowly walked through the forest, watching their large hooves maneuver around the roots. She had her head lowered and ears flopped over in both anger and defeat. "Very much so." She answered as you could almost see the storm clouds around her head. "Is he strong? Like really strong?" He kept asking as he followed beside his mother who was leading the way with a slow pace. "I guess you could say they are strong... I mean it never really came up." She said as she tried to answer her son honestly.
"I'd appreciate it if you'd stop asking questions and just wait till we get there." She snapped at him as he began one more dig. "Just one more!" He pleaded as he gave her the best foal eyes possible. His mother pinned her ears and flicked her tail out of frustration. "Fine, make it a good one cause it's the last." She answered as he thought for a moment. "How come you never stayed together?" He asked, a curios innocent look to his face as he waited. She looked down solemnly as a sad look passed over her whole body, her shoulder dropping and her energy seemingly deflating. "Would you have been happier if we stayed together?" She asked him without looking, her eyes looking through the ground. "Of course not, I have never met him so how could I say if it is better? Besides, I had the best Mother I could have asked for!"
His answer seemed to perk her up as she smiled and lifted her head a bit. "You are the best son I could have asked for." She said as she nuzzled his neck. "And you are way too wise for your age." She added as she grabbed his mane with her teeth and pulled playfully before darting away. "Hey don't start cause I'll finish it!" He neighed as he reared and chased after her with a laugh.

Name You'd Choose for It: Rhea
Species/Breed: Shire
Gender: Female
History/Background/Other:
Rhea paced on the mansion floor as a calm looking half human stared back at her. "So did she answer?" She asked as she wore a hole in the carpet from her quick steps. "She is actually coming over to discuss it with you." The girl answered with a flick of her canine like tail. "S-She's what?! Why didn't you tell me that!?" The Mare exclaimed as she bit her lip and began to trot in her pacing ring. "What on earth am I going to say to her?! This is going to be so awkward!" She mumbled as she felt her face go hot. A voice in the door way made her heart skip a beat as a familiar looking canine leaned against the door frame with a smug look. "You could start with a Hello."
Rhea stood awkwardly as she quickly glanced in between the two in front of her. Shifting her weight to the other hoof she cleared her throat and got both of their attention. "So um.. how's this going to work?" She squeaked out as her mane fell in front of her eyes and she took it as a moment to hide. "Please calm down, this isn't the first time this has happened to me and I perfectly understand your situation." The Black and brown canine put a paw on her shoulder with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry alright?" The human answered as a small smile sneaked out onto the mares face.
It had been a few month since the whole ordeal and so far she had been feeling fine. She was given a long list of rules that she memorized as best she could to end up with the best results. Already she could feel her stomach start to grow and all the effects that came with it. She had to return back to Silver's before the winter so they would both be safe. She smiled as she walked at a comfortable pace, she couldn't help but try to pick out name ahead of time. She knew that as soon as she saw it's face the name would come to mind but it was fun to imagine before hoof.
She could feel the cool chill in the air as she woke one morning and knew what was on the way. Without a second guess she started to head back to Silver's home, wondering if Lakira would still be there... would she be interested in her own child? Nobody knew what went through that canines head. She shivered as a breeze went straight through her thick coat. She tried to walk at a faster pace to keep warm but it was still a little awkward to her with a larger stomach.
When all was said and done and she laid beside her new colt, both exhausted and relieved. She curled around the foal and couldn't help but wonder where Lakira had been. Silver came in quietly to gawk at the newborn, the adorable sleeping colt made her tail wag. "So have you picked out a name?" She whispered as she didn't take her eyes off the foal. She nodded and looked at her son. "Balder, I think it fits him." She said as she couldn't help but gently nuzzle the colt, her colt. Silver's face fell when she felt a more serious question come up. "What will you do now?"
"When he is old enough we will leave and I shall return home, I'm sure my herd would love to meet him." She said with a flick of an ear and a smile still on her face. "What about when he asks about his father?" Silver added looking over to see the shocked mare's face. Rhea was quiet for a while, she wasn't sure what to say as she listened to the soft breathing of her son. "All I can say for sure is when he is old enough to learn the truth I will tell him..." She answered as Silver nodded, quickly making some food for Rhea before leaving her to eat in peace.
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it. Of course, I would also like to add here that I know it's the same cage I just wanted to put a separation between the two.
-----------------------
"So this is the mansion?" Balder asked as he took a step back to look at the whole thing. "It's huge!" He exclaimed as his ears rose up in excitement. He ran up against his Mother's orders and knocked on the door, surprised that it didn't even nudge under his weight. When he stepped back a small girl answered the door, her ears twitching in curiosity. "Oh Balder, it's been so long!" Silver exclaimed as she jumped out and hugged the colt catching him off guard. Rhea walked over with a laugh and joined them, earning a hug from Silver as well. "Too long don'tcha think Mom?" Silver teased as she opened the heavy wooden double doors to let them in.
"So you know my father?" Balder asked Silver as the girl cocked her head before turning to look at Rhea who was avoiding eye contact. Keeping her gaze on Rhea she answered. "I suppose you could say that, we are friends but I haven't seen them in a while." He nodded and looked around the giant mansion happily as Silver pulled his mother off to the side. "You honestly haven't told him?" She asked as she crossed her arms. "I didn't know how... I'll beg if I have to but please help me." Rhea said as she bit her lip and looked at Silver hopefully. "You've grown up so much and yet you still have the old habits." Silver laughed as Rhea blushed and let go of her lip. "Of course I'll help, you should know me better then that.
Rhea smiled as she looked back over at her son running as fast as he could around the first room, amazed at the size. "Thanks... I appreciate it. One question though." She began to say as Silver looked at the silly colt as well. "What will Lakira actually do when she gets here?"
"The best she can, but I wouldn't say you shouldn't say a prayer or two."
