A great heron hunts above the lake...
Its wings are mottled and tattered, but its eyes remain sharp as ever.
Just a wittle freshwater dragon-heron creature design that these wings inspired!

Tell me a bit about your entry! : I titled it “Rebirth” the star they hold to their chest is their life line (modeled after the sun), and no matter how cracked it will eventually restore itself.. so this character is essentially immortal and it makes some creatures jealous.. immorality a curse or a gift? Who knows + The coloration and pattern is not any natural bird, but I was inspired by bearded vulture!

A dying star. It was a beautiful celestial body for billions of years, and is now finally going through its inevitable end.

Whether it's a hopeful rebirth or simply a silent (unfortunately, due to its vacuum environment) death depends on perspective. Either way, it is quite violent from here on out. Keep your distance! A supernova-- such a magnificent thing!

The heart and soul are protected by a hard but fragile crystal, glowing brightly in the safety of its' casing and the freedom of its' wings, however it ends up bound by the cursed thorns of the harm people have caused, even as the vines have been let go of, the harm still persists, thorns embedded in the wings and crystal, spreading corruption, and confining the heart to a painful existence.

A gentle, magnificent star holds within it the memories of a butterfly that has met its end. It drifts among the cosmos, replaying the vibrant emotions of its life, from its birth into the blue skies to its untimely demise at the hands of a predator. Yet, it continues to flutter in the starry expanse, a lasting tribute to a butterfly that once lived.

This... Thing, floats there mocking me. I peer into it's portal like torso as dark smoke flows out and swirls from within. skeleton like hands reach out and around, slow and intentional. It's sleek oilslick black crow wings beat at me with intimation, causing my breath to catch in my throat. My eyes look quickly to the necklace of bones draped over the shoulders of its wings down to the shiny coin that dangled from it delicately. A ghostly green fog begins to ooze from between it's feathers, settling about the unholy creature. It's seems to whisper to me the details of my demise...

Tell me a bit about your entry! : A short horror story for your entertainment, my original inspiration was Hades and the underworld but as it formed it warped into some kinda hellspawn cryptid thing xD this was fun. Hope you enjoy!
