things have been pretty hectic over at the Aldertree compound. new mutations of vulpiki are producing left and right, almost as though they adapt within mere weeks of being transfered to new locations. as of now, contact with our anonymous source has been shaky. we've heard little communication ever since we uncovered a letter of Nathan's to Captain Lars Mendoza.

we were able to extract this from a personal branch of files from Aldtertree Co. not sure what to make of it:

the next litter will be released in approximately 1 week, according to our anonymous source, but some big projects at Aldtertree have slowed progress with the operation. it appears Aldertree Co. is aware of the VRS' work now, so we must ask that you be safe and continue to look out for our vulpiki friends.

hi friends ! ceo of the VRS here.

i'm sure it goes without saying based on my delays, but the vulpiki project is currently on a small hiatus. due to a couple of big ongoing projects that i have a large stake in, i'm going to have to put my vulpikin on the shelf until the start of summer. the game i'm working on with my team is set to be released at the end of may, so i'll continue my beloved alien foxes when i've fulfilled my duties ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ.

there's a lot to still be explored, so i may continue to release small things, but i won't be able to host my prior litter raffles. there'll also be the occasional rare, special vulpikin released in the discord, via the events tab. i did one last year during my first mini-hiatus (oct-nov), so keep an eye out.

on another note, you might notice in the post above this one, my images have once again malfunctioned. ahhh so annoying. due to imgur going down in my country, i re-located to catbox, but alas so did many others. the influx of traffic caused a problem with the storage of images, so images uploaded between aug-oct 2025 are missing. my luck with image hosting services is quite the feat. good news is that the images are all backed up and should be restored mid-april without me having to do anything... i can only wait </3

a new batch of vulpikin has been released, at last! you can find them here.

i have returrrrrned..... initially i did say the litter would be released june, but some projects got inevitably pushed back (as per).. new litter is somewhat of an indulgence because i'm having a big dino phase. but that's really not on me; we've seen lots of strange adaptations and mutations, how can i possibly predict what the vulpikin will become? the delay is on me though, so i apologise for that. i finally just decided to dump all of my images onto toyhouse as my new resource folder, as these image hosting sites keep messing with me grrr. hopefully toyhouse will have me, it's hosted all of my vulpikin thus far with no problem.

so, is the VRS back to regularly scheduled programming? for the foreseeable, i can't saaay. i'm mid-way through moving house with a packed schedule this month, so i'm just here to drop these monstrosities for now and can't promise much else just now.
