{"Hello, my name is Nevada, and I have come seeking refuge in your home. You see, I have come a long way, and it's time I settle down and rest. First, let me tell you about my journey.
It began when I was just a hatchling. I was born simple and plain, like most other Puffbirds I knew. One warm afternoon, I was out playing with my friends, when I noticed a young Puffbird sitting alone under a tree. I approached him and softly said "hello". After introducing myself, I asked if he wanted to join my friends and me. A huge smile stretched across his face, and he stayed with us for the rest of the evening.
The next morning, I woke to find I had grown a single, long, gorgeous tail feather! I was ecstatic! I rushed outside to show my friends the miracle. All evening I bragged about my beautiful tail feather. What I didn't notice though, was that with each boastful comment, my friends grew sadder, and my feather began to wilt until it was gone.
As the days went on I began to notice the pattern. With each random act of kindness, a feather grows, and each time I cause sadness or despair, I lose one.
That is when I began my trek. I hiked all across the country, spending years doing everything I could to make the world around me a better place. As the days went on, my tail grew fuller, until it could hold no more. Once completed, I realized that my tail really represented my heart! My heart is now full of joy knowing I did everything I could to make others happy.
Now that I am content, I have come to live the rest of my life here in peace."}
