You can add accessories any way you want, as long as it's done with taste, I really don't mind. To me accessories aren't part of the design but something to be changed around at will, just like in real life^^'. Features are more like the shape of the ears and stuff, things that can't acctually be changed at will.

History/Background:
this was a simple pup born in a rich family having the time of his life till one day they had disappeared, he had journeyed for days in search for shelter. Nothing. One pup in a big city, a day of hope when he came across P.O.H. Shelter! finally, after searching for days he had found a sanctuary in a huge city...

I thought this name would be appropriate because I wanted to have her as a chinese character, and thought her design struck me as peaceful and serene.) (I'm going to just call her Serenity in my story and when I refer to her.)

Serenity is like her name, calm, peaceful and quite. She's never one to raise a fuss, and prefers to surrond herself with easy going, level headed people.

Serenity loves to have a balanced and equal life, plenty of exercise and healthy things to eat.

Serenity is very respectful, never known for letting people down or being rude, naughty..or just plain disrespectful. She shuns away from people like this, and would never dream of being this way.

Serenity is a mixed breed canine. She is a mix between a Saluki and the Japense Spaniel. But also has various other breeds intertwined in her DNA, but she prefers it when others only refer to her as a Saluki X Japenese spaniel, as she's very proud of her Chinese heritage.

Serenity is lean and strong.
She is this way because of her healthy ways, and her well rounded life.
The exercise in the forests, the stretching, the praying.
She loves life and wants to live it to the fullest.
Serenity is muscular, but never uses it in a bad way.
She is taller than most living in China, probably because of her ancestors and mixed breeding, though she would never say it.
Serenity is energetic and constantly on the move, exploring every inch of her beautiful China.

Serenity hasn't shown many people that she has speed. And I mean it, this girl can run! When she ran away from 'busy China' she taught herself to run, how to save her energy an duse it to the best of it's abilities.

Serenity never gets sick, ever. People are very confused about this, but only she knows that it's her healthy lifestyle and way of living that have hardened her body, but in a soft. caring way.
/Ferocity/
Serenity doesn't fight.
Never. Don't even talk about fighting or doing harm around her, you will get a surprise.
/Brain power/
Serenity is very smart, though she chooses not to show off her smarts. She prefers to ponder over life's questions in her head, and isn't very fond of people asking her what she's thinking. Her thoughts are her thoughts.
/Will power/
Serenity is incredibly strong willed, and will stick to whatever decisions she's made. Nothing anyone does would make her budge on her decisions. Her strong willpower helped her in her new way if life, giving up all her possessions etc.
/Strength/
Serenity is rather strong, but she's not what you would call a 'hulk' or 'Mrs muscles'. She doesn't like to brag about her strength, and doesn't show many what she actually can do. She always willing to lend a helping hand and some extra elbow grease when needed.

Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:
It's hard to explain, but Serenity just struck me so hard when I saw her. First of all, she's beautiful and her design immediately made me think of China. The China where the pandas roam, and where the Monks pray in temples in front of lily filled lakes on misty mornings. Where you can hear the distant roar of a tiger as it calls to it's mate, where you can see the speckled koi fish gliding soundlessly between the weeds and fronds of the wide and peaceful lakes. I yearn to visit China one day, because, I've fallen in love with China, and it's soundless, pure beauty. I thought that maybe having this character would bring me closer to China in a way, without me having to actually go there. It's, once again, hard to explain the deep bond I feel with Serenity, and China. My China.

I'd keep Serenity in my character thread, with her own special section. I'd order art of her whenever I can, and look after her and care for her. She wouldn't be neglected, and she'd be smothered with love it would threaten to suffocate her. She would most likely be the main star of my story, well, the story I want to start, about China. It would bring me great pleasure to do this, as I'm always writing stories, and would love to write one about China, and Serenity. Her art would also star in my signature; you'd be able to see my love for her with the naked human eye.

Personality:

Serenity; calm, peaceful.
Serenity is much like her name. She's a peaceful, easy going and calm person. She hates fights, and generally avoids them, going anywhere near them and hates the thought of starting them. Serenity can often be found praying or dozing on the temple balcony, in front of the beautiful lotus filled pond. She especially enjoys spending time at the temple, and often watches the fat and lazy koi fish circling the pond, impatiently waiting for their next meal.

Hypnotic, dreamy prose.
She is very dreamy, romantic and loves to day dream, finding herself walking through the bamboo forests, the muted sounds of fluffy pandas chewing on the stalks all around her. Serenity can often get lost in her thoughts and daydrems. She normally always has a thought on a subject, and can sometimes forget things and blurt out what she's saying, sometimes hurting the people around her, but she's quick to apologies, and her friends and loved ones know what she's like, she it doesn't bother them as much as it would a stranger.

Determined, strong willed.
She strong willed and determined, often 'fighting' hard to get what she wants. When disturbed when praying or day dreaming Serenity can get very irritable and has a tendency to snap at whoever had bothered her. Serenity had long ago given up all her possessions, and taken up the 'Buddhist' way of life. She thinks life is best this way, life has a new meaning.

Friendly, welcoming.
Serenity isn't a rough, agro person. She loves to have company when she's not praying, and people generally love to be around her. She loves to laugh, fool around and have fun, though you might not expect that at first glance. She also has a 'fetish' for helping others, and, when on a roll, can be hard to stop. She dreams of a new, better and different world, one where there are no fights, no racism, no murder. Nothing bad, nothing evil, just pure, good hearted love.

Serenity always likes to have a piece of the day to herself, to pray and dream in the morning misty silence.

Serenity is very fond of love. Not just the romantic love, the the family love, the helpful love. The momma duck helping her duckling out of the chilly water onto the slippery bank. Or the daddy gorilla looking out for his family. She believes that love is what makes the world go round. She believes, you can't live without it.

Beauty.
Serenity loves to wake up early in the morn and sit outside the temple on the wooden floor, and watch the sunrise, the world coming alive around her. The silvery mist twirling around the weeds in the pond, the koi fish stirring up the odd bubble. The panda's waking up, the babies yawning, revealing pink, little tongues. The golden yellow sun rising above the pale, green mountains, streaking the sky and turning the mist gold. She lives for the beauty of the world.

Serenity doesn't drink fizzy drinks, or diet cola. She loves water. Plain water. Pure and healthy in many ways. She refuses to drink anything else.

Traditional, is better.
Serenity only eats the traditional Chinese food. Rice balls, sushi and everything else. She uses old recipes that were passed down from generation to generation, and cooks with them with pride.

Creativity.
Serenity loves to express her creativity in many ways. She enjoys painting, the traditional way the Chinese do, and mostly paints sunsets, sunrises and beautiful misty mornings. She will often be found walking through the forest, a beautiful, crystal clear song echoing through the leaves and trees. There are pages and pages of poetry scattered throughout the temple, all her doing.

Serenity loves everyone, and everything. She loves the pandas that live next to the temple, the fat and irritable koi, and the tigers that roam further out in the forest. Everything.

Hate.
Serenity seethes with rage at the mere mention of hating, killing, murdering and all of the above. If anyone around her mentions this she will quickly and irritable remind them about the actual facts and they’ll quickly shut up.

A cage.
Serenity doesn’t like being told and having her freedom of expression and her creativity chained in and limited. She likes to rule her own life and absolutely hates it when other people tell her what to do, though it’s not that way when she’s helping someone.

Past.
Serenity hates being told she’s a mutt. And hates it when people are constantly reminding her or telling her that she hasn’t got full Chinese blood lines like them. She hates it when people brag, show off and/or are arrogant. She believes Karma will catch up with them one day, and she won’t laugh when it happens, well, she won’t laugh loudly.

History/Background:

History.
Serenity was born in China, but in the less beautiful and busier place. She grew up there, and was brought up by her single mom. As soon as Serenity started becoming independent, her mom could easily see that, she hated life. She hated where she lived and thought she had no purpose. Her mom tried to calm Serenity, and look out for her, curbing her hate and bring forth a source of love. But it didn’t work. And when she died Serenity became even more restless and malicious. Then one day her whole life caved in and she tried to run away from it all. Well, she ran straight to where she is now, the more beautiful part of China. That’s where she first saw the monks. They intrigued her, and brought forward a new sense of wonder. She soon realized there was another way of life that suited her, and she was already half way there. She had automatically given up all her possessions when she ran away, making her new way of live easier. She then found a temple to stay in, with a pond and the koi, and a beautiful view. She loved it, and suddenly felt a new and pure love for life. She studied the way of the monks and the Buddhists, praying and walking in their footsteps.
She was complete.

Story.

Silence reigned supreme as Serenity's eyes opened. The sun had not drifted above the horizon, and there was a slight chilly dampness to the air. Silently she stood up and padded softly throughout the temple, bidding good morning to the statues and shrines. Serenity paused at a specific shrine. The Yin and Yang dragon and tiger, posed theatrically under a cherry blossom tree, its leaves scattered through out the scene, it's strong trunk twisted and intertwined with itself. Serenity closed her eyes and froze, lips moving quickly, praying. When she had finished, she picked up a stick of incense and stuck it into a tiny hole beneath the tree. With a match she lit the incense, and the sweetly scented smoke rose up and started dancing its way towards the ceiling, twisting and turning. Serenity watched it, a deep sense of peace over coming her body, numbing her senses, making her one with the world. She nodded before the shrine then continued through the temple, her claws clicking against the woody floors. She nudged open the wood 'Chinese' style double dojo doors and stepped onto the balcony. All was quite, all was peaceful. The world was still asleep beneath her paws, and she would watch and wait for it to take its first breath and wake up. Serenity walked towards the pond in front of the balcony and sat down in front of it. The fat koi fish circled about underneath the pallid, mirror-like water, enjoying its warmth. Serenity's breath misted as she inhaled deeply and exhaled. The morning air was crisp and sweet, the incense mixing and mingling with it. She gazed towards the forest and mountains before her, the greeny-bluey hues, the silvery mist swirling round its edges and leaves, creating an eerie yet peaceful aura. Serenity started to hum to herself, The Eastern Sun. Her chiming voice rose and fell, like the ponds water lapping at the edges of it's banks, drawing little forest roaming creatures closer, daring them to step into the chilly water. Slowly, everything around her began to wake up, the velvety silence now being filled with gentle noises as the day progressed. A panda cub whined for it's momma's touch, another chewed noisily on a bamboo stick. A female tiger called to her cubs, her call echoing off the mountains, bouncing against every rock and leaf. The pale yellow-gold sun slowly drifted upwards, suddenly lighting everything in a golden sheet, washing everything a golden yellow. The koi fish stirred and the pandas rambled about, the dew drops dripped off the bamboo fronds, pattering quietly against the soft forest floor. Serenity sighed contentedly; she felt a pure, holy love for China, her China.
Her world was beautiful, her days filled with joy. She loved life, and that..was that.
