I'm keeping to just the accepted colours for now, though I'm taking a fairly loose definition of 'accepted'. XD Mostly I go by the BC associations and breed clubs' measures rather than the Kennel Club breed standards for the border collie, so I've got some BCs that are predominantly white, as well as Australian reds and lemons, and wouldn't be averse to making a brindled BC if I could figure out the genetics for it. Tweeds and harlequins seem to only occur in Aussies from what I've seen, though I have seen a few BCs with dilute spots (actually, Jake on the front post might count as one, since he's got blue patches as well as black). It would be interesting to do a BC that had one of the really unusual somatic mutations, like an ee-->Ee dog that was yellow with black patches like you see on very rare occasion with Goldens and Labs, though I probably won't given how extremely rare it is. Still, it looks awesome. XD

I might make a few other breeds, but none of them will be done to the extent that the BCs are, especially since most breeds don't have anywhere near the wide variation of the BCs. I might put a poll up for which breeds people are interested in - I did one a long time ago in a different post, but that post is long since deleted. If I do make others, it'll probably be just three or four dogs per breed at most and of the most typical coat colours.
