I've actually thought about smili breeding. Letting people who adopted earlier return for one or a few cubs for free. If they find a smili partner to breed with that is. A problem is that the colour isn't decided by genetics but the environment of the newborn smili. The markings are genetically regulated though.
Glad you like them Nawee^^.

You know spotty, you are COMPLETELY wrong about the Nightelves. That in the intro was a Nightelf DRUID whom shapeshifts into CATFORM [Which is a lion for the horde and a panther for the alliance] They also take the form of a BEAR and a MOONKIN which is an owlbeast. They can also shapeshift into CROWS and TREES for healing. In water they shapeshift into sealions and their travel-form is a leopard. So no, nightelves are NOT panthers -insulted-. They are far from that, and they are a breed of highelven derived from Quel'danar.
(Oh and sorry about the caps it isnt ment as yelling<3 its just to make it easier to skim through)

Spotty wrote:Please don't make a book about smili, it's sort of my species and I'll guard them jealously, and I wouldn't want them to leave CS. Without permission to use them it would be idea theft and I wouln't be happy about that. Stories posted on CS only by people who have a adopted smili is alright as long as credits for the species go to me.
Don't worry, I won't. It was just a thought. Anyways, I wouldn't be able to. I've been able to create species of my own, but have been unable to write about other species, such as werewolves or vampires. But I guess I could if I tried. The words in my Location or whatever, their Elcean. A creature I made a long long time ago. I love them and guard them with my very well being. i wouldn't want anyone stealing them either.

I have a question for you.
You mentionned (and I just re-read it on the front page) that the temperature and light influenced the cub's coating. What kind of temperature or light could end up in a black fur ?
EDIT : Drama Llama, don't be insulted like that O_O Maybe she just doesn't know the game very well that's all.

Drama Llama, why are you angry with me? Alright, I'll rephrase that.
"In the intro movie it shifts into a cat form with is identically alike a normal real life panther, but not very alike the cat form they feature in the actual game. so in the film the Nelf catform is basically a panther, but not in the game and that confuses me". Better now? I've had my fair share of WoW druids, I played it for years but abandoned it.
Well Nawee, the colouration is based on where they live pretty much. Bright light and cold temperatures generates white smili, dark, hot and damp environments generate black ones. And all possible variations in between.
Made a sketch for the smili cubs. They are pretty much adorable.
