Oh! For some reason I thought the extra 50 commons would revoke spots for the freaks? I don't know how my mind works sometimes. Thanks for clearing that up for me! <3

EDIT: The town was named in honour of Fenrir Greyback... x)

Hey, Feyria, on page 187 Tiikeria says that common creature donations are open after some deliberation, but on the front page it says that they're closed. Are they open...?

I'm quite certain they're open; theres been, like, twenty forms in the past 24 hours, so I'd say that yes, they're open x3 Unless it had been changed within the past little while, but I highly doubt it... You'll have to get a second opinion on that, since I'd rather not be the reason for getting you in trouble if I'm wrong <3 Maybe ask Tiki?

I am looking to adopt...
Image
Kennel number: P105
Name: Nijinsky {Also called: Nij, or Niji. Rarely called Skye.} Russian word for "dancer" Before you laugh, read the story. xD
Breed: Ethiopian Wolf
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?: I've been looking for a natural colored character for some time now, also considering the fact I've got commissions reserved. I scrolled through these Kennels, seeing dog after dog designed by Spotty. Then I found this little guy. <3 He'd be added to my character site, spoiled, and I'd love him. <3 I like his neat eye markings, and the bright green eyes that pop right out of his natural colored fur. The ear markings are another thing I like. Looking at his design each time makes me love it even more.
Personality:
{Protective}
Nijinsky is the type of creature who will easily show how he feels about family, friends, or close ones. He's extremely protective, and isn't afraid to fight for what he believes in either.

{Quick}
Both in the mind, and on feet. He's one able to hop in and out of places quickly and is extremely smart and clever.

{Courageous}
Niji isn't afraid to back down from anything. Some say it's a "male thing" but close ones to him say he was picked on a bit as a pup. It's both a blessing and a curse for him.

{Heartless}
Not most of the time. Niji has two distinct personalities: Heartless or extremely caring. He's heartless when put in the situations when he or a loved one's lives are at steak.

{Fun}
Not to be called something like an "energetic puppy", which he isn't. He loves being around others, and hates being alone.

Likes:
Being free, being around others, being well fed, loved, winning in anything, winter, thunder storms.

Dislikes: Being ridiculed, being left out, losing, hot days.

History/Background:
{The time setting is World War Three. Future Time.}
{{Basic Recap: The Allied and Axis Powers were on the same sides as World War Two. Most of the fighting is taking place in Germany. (Another reason is Germany is always portrayed as "the bad guys" so I'm writing them as the protagonists. ;D }}

The field General of American troops, David S. Douglas, called for his men to, in spite of what they wanted, attack. All the men desperately wanted to retreat, for they knew the Germans had dogs with them at their side this time. These canines were armored to the brim with lightweight and bullet resistant metal. As guns fired, then echoed in the area of the Rhineland, it sounded as if the battle was more intense than it actually was.
"Kommen Angriff!" the German General yelled to the dogs, which were barking at the upcoming wave of enemies. In German, those works meant 'come attack', a command the canines knew after months of training. The soliders clicked the chain leash off of the collars, and the dogs charged without a single second of hesitation.
One dog, well, a mistaken wolf to be a dog, named Nijinsky, who originally was born, trained, and raised in Russia, was sold to the German army. He was well muscled, clever, and determined animal, whose intimidating lime green eyes shone through tiny chinks in his protective armor. He was actually and Ethiopian Wolf, who somehow became mixed in with the dogs to no one's notice. Running into the brisk late fall air was not an easy task, while he also had to remember to save energy for the real fights. The Allies did not train dogs, so these Axis Canines fought tooth to man. Nijinsky's name in Russian actually means, "dancer". The reason for that he never knew.
Niji, as he was commonly called, was extremely quick on his feet. He could jump in and bite, then dash behind someone with ease. However, one thing he lacked was patience. Because he was so quick, waiting for something seemed to be the biggest chore for him. Another not so great attribute he had was zoning out at times. Not able to focus, able to be caught in a daze, and didn't even notice a bullet graze his armor.
Nijinsky must have apparently been lost in his thoughts because he slowed down. "Nijin! Kommen Angriff!" the human with a heavy German accent ordered. The male wolf quickly picked up his pace and soon met the men. Gun fire roared across the entire battle, smoke and poison gas polluted and hid the sky, but the dogs had the advantage of being low to the ground, and it didn't affect them much. With his tongue lolling out of his white muzzled mouth, he leaped at a man whom had not been expecting a canine to attack. Pinning him down was no easy task, but was accomplished. An Axis solider soon shot the man Niji had knocked down, so the wolf looked for his next victim, no, enemy.
When is this going to be over? Niji thought as he bit at ankles, leaping over fallen humans. The battle began at dawn, and it became nearly dusk at the moment. Before he was pulled out of his thoughts, a chain slipped itself around his neck like a snake suffocating it's prey. He trashed and trashed, but in the end had to succumb to the superior power of man. The brown 'warrior' was taken to a nearby crevice in the ground, and placed inside, only to be tied to a boulder. He was captured, and could not chew through chains.
As the bullets ceased to fly through the air, and the sky cleared up into the blue-black night sky, it eventually stopped. It was ended, but all Niji thought about was going back home.
A hand untied the chain on the boulder, and Nijinsky was transported onto an arriving aircraft. He had never been on one before, and during the period of the ride he had felt uneasy, and the urge to vomit (although he thankfully didn't.) Hearing the load sound of the blades on the aircraft slice through the air some to a stop, the unit was grounded and he was lead on ground. Niji felt thankful to be on the earth again, and vowed to himself to never go on a flying thing again, which he called it without any knowledge of it's real name.
He'd been taken into the hands of the Allied Powers, along with a few more of his four legged comrades, which were separated after landing. The armor on them was removed, and Niji felt a bit lighter, and a bit more free. After being led into a building with mutliple dogs in cages, he was then showed to a huge yard outside the property, filled with fresh air, green grass, and a quiet little pond in the corner, which was encircled by a small number of trees. This section immediately caught his eye, and he
made his way toward it, with that action quickly followed by lying in the shade. His life would be a lot easier.

{{{{{{Part Two}}}}}}}

Nijinsky should have known. The foolish humans re-homed him to a greedy man who smelled of alcohol and cigarettes, one who cared for money as a priortity, and Nijin's life as a second. The man, named Jon Gibsonne, slurred out to Nijin, "My little 'dancer', you'll surely make your Master proud, right?" The canine did not understand what the man had meant.
Niji soon made the grim discovery of being used in dog fights. He'd been used for a purpose which brought no gain what so ever to him, but only benefit to his 'Master' monetarily. Nijin didn't enjoy this, being used, and being hurt, for the purposes of making money, and being used as entertainment.
The male wolf certainly lived up to his name, which meant "dancer." He had been able to dash in and out, bite, push, and defend with the quickness of a striking snake. He'd one many fights, gotten few cuts, and was fed only in early morning. Niji had been trying to formulate a plan for escape, but the thinking of a dog cannot match that of man, even a drunk one at that. A dog, even a domestic and tamed wolf knows that he's meant to please man, yet Niji felt this shouldn't be deemed to be true in his case.
At one memorable fight, against one of the largest dogs he'd seen, Niji had trouble keeping himself alive in the cruel sport. Exhausted, and on the verge of collapse, he remembered being in Germany, with his comrades, the people he loved, all taken away. He lashed out a growl in anger, missed his opponent who locked onto his shoulder. The wolf winced, but was quickly distracted when a door had been burst open by two men holding badges of some sort. They took out chains, took his 'Master' and Niji felt free again, let loose in the wild when he was finally proven to be a wolf, not dog, and not property of any human ever again.

Birthday: August 13.

Fears and Phobias: Being enclosed, bugs {anyone would think a big and intimidating canine would stomp on them. No, no, not Niji.} Fire, smoke, dying.

Soft Spots: Even though Niji has no patience, he somehow has a more soft and caring side when it comes to dealing with pups.

Favorite Season: Winter.

Art: My tablet is broken as of the moment. D8 I'd be sure to order art of him, but if I did now, and lost, that'd be a waste. I drew this with my touchpad http://i54.tinypic.com/23jsqxw.png

I am looking to adopt...
Picture:
Image
Kennel number:
106
Name:
Tsukuyomi
Nicknames include Tsuki, Yomi, Yami, and tsu-tsu
Breed:
Dire Wolf/ Shapeshifter (Dire wolf to human)
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:
After my little CS break I had for a little bit, I decided to check here, just to look and see if there were any character designs that I liked. When I scrolled down, I imediatly saw her, and I fell. Spotty always has the knack for creating the perfect design. I just absolutly love her colors; the dark colored fur offset by a pair of golden eyes. Lastly, her markigs are just so... undescribely amazing. All in all, she's just beatutiful, and I want her to be my next character!
Personality:
~Blunt and to the point~
Tsuki Never sugar-coats anything. Ever. She tells everything just how it is, and says exactly how she feels about something, even at the most inoppertune time. She never wastes time in saying anything that needs to be said, no matter how much it would hurt others or herself. For her, the straight truth is the only option.
~Independent~
Tsuki does everything by herself, no matter how daunting the task. She hates working with others because it just slows her down, not to mention that she feels like a loser when she relies on others. Plus, there is the added responsibility for the actions of those she's stuck with; if they skrew up or die, she at least feels like it's on her paws.
~Just a shadow in the night~
Everywhere she goes, Tsuki tries to just blend in, to not be noticed. She hates having to talk with others, because she knows that she'll hurt their feelings or insult them in one way or another, so she feels that avoiding confruntation is for the best.
Likes:
~Night time, the moon, and the stars~
Even as a young pup, Tsuki loved the moon even before her eyes were open. She would always be caught twoards the edge of the den at night, before she was old enough to go outside, gazing up at the heavens. Thusly, her parents decided to name her Tsukuyomi, after the godess of the darkness and the moon. She feels secure and powerful after basking in the moonlight.
~Compremise~
Tsuki prefers
Dislikes:
History/Background:
Moonlight shines on the wet grass in the clearing, glinting off of the dropplets of precipitation that remained after the day's rains. I lay there, in the center of the clearing, my strength returning. I can feel the spring breeze interlace their cool fingers between my fur. The scent of the revived flowers floods my nosterals; I am at peace.
Ah, this curse of immortal life. Why it was thrust upon me, perhaps why I was so worthy of it, I may never know. I saw the golden age of my breed slowly slip from my grasp. My family, they passed one by one, and have now turned to dust.

13,000 years. That's how long I've been here. And most likely I will be for even longer.

Where to begin, I do not know. However, for the sake of some sence of normalcy in this tale of madness, I guess I should begin with my childhood. Most would say, when beigining their own story, would say something along the lines of, "I was a normal child..." However, for me, this was not the case. I was always a bit different, my parents knew that from the day I was born. I always had my head twoards the moon.
Even before my senses had come, before light filled my eyes, even before any violent sound wave tinggled my ears, I knew what the moon was. In fact, I was caught outside basking in its heavenly glow at a week old. That godly orb has facinated me for all eternity. That facination would lead to my downfall, my imortality.
My lonelyness...
Due to my love of the moon, I was named after the godess of the moon, who had been known to the dire wolves for thousands of years, before she was adapted by the humans. Tsukuyomi, godess of the great moon and the darkness that surrounds. What a perfect name for a pup of my deminor. Her name suited me like no other, besides the great godess herself.
I remember, I was barely a year old, almost old enough to venture out on my own, when I decided to go to my hideing place. It was a small, undiscovered medow in the midst of the forrest in which I lived that had a perfect view of the moon. I would go there whenever I needed to think or just wanted the comfort of the moon. That night I needed both.
I was conflicted; I was torn, in truth. My parents had offered me a choice to stay with the pack and become the next-in-line alpha female, even though I was the youngest. I knew how my older sister, Ayame, longed for the position, but I secretly wanted it, too. I never thought that it could have been mine untill recently. I had to make the choice; should I choose the love of my elder sister, or the place that I always secretly longed to be. It would be hard, since I loved my sister more than anyone else in the family, and we were closer to eachother than any other pair of sisters were. I never wished to harm her.
I paced to and fro, gazing up twoards the moon for guidance. What should I do? Then I paused; it had come to me. Why not share the pack's rule with my sister? It was so brilliant that it had to work. This way, we would both get what we wanted. I would tell my parents in the morning. Once I had, they had agreed to the idea after a little prompting from me. I thought we would be happy. However, I was too blind to realize that my sister was not. However, she agreed to be a co-alphess without hesitation. I was happy for the time being.
A few years later, the time had come to pass that our parents passed away. they had gone hunting with the hunters, and never returned. So, my plan was to come into action. Ayame and myself were instated as the alphesses of the pack, and the responsibility hit us like a boulder; it had wounded me more so than her.
One of our jobs, like that of the alphas before, was to lead the pack hunts. I voulenteered myself for this job, since I was the stronger hunter, however, my sister insisted she come along just to make sure I was up to the task.
"Tsuki and I will go this way and hunt. The rest of you, go the opposet." She said. At that point and time, it had been hard to find anything to eat, so it seemed logical to me that the pack was split, but so unevenly, I did not know. Untill we reached my secret cove.
"Wh-what?! How did you know about this place?" I gasped in awe. My sister gave me a sinister smile as she walked up to me.
"I know all your secrets sister... However, I plan to let this place die with you." She began to snarl in a sadistic way. I was taken aback.
"Ayame, what do you mean? What are you planning on doing?" I gasped. I perked my ears forward, trying to look dominant but to no avail.
"I mean I want this pack for myself! You were always the favorite of mother and father, and although I was the eldest, I heard what they wanted to do! They wanted to give you, an immature little twirp, the title of alphess of this pack! When I'm the only one who deserves it!!" She snarled, spittle dripping from her muzzle in anger. I was shocked. My ears flattened back as my mouth stood agape. I had no idea that she had wanted to be alphess so strongly. I closed my mouth and lowered my head.
"I intended to have us rule the pack side be side... however, since you want it so badly, I'll..." I whinced slightly, realizing that my dreams were now unable to be fulfilled, " Resign as alphess, giving you full control. And... I'll leave. For good. You'll never see me again." I whined and looked up at her, for what seemed like it would be the last time. Ayame paused for a momment and considered the situation. That was the last calm look I ever saw on her face. She hunched down as a malicious snral erupted onto her face. The fur on her back rose and almost seemed to touch the sky, as he claws dug deep into the earth. She let out a wolfish roar before she spoke.
"No. That's not good enough! You have betrayed me once, and the trust between us is now gone! Your foolish words mean nothing to me! Your death is the only soultion!"
She lept forward, aiming for my jugular, but I nimbly dogged; her fangs narrowly scraped my neck, causing it to bleed. Now I was mad. I stood erect and snarling, as the moon began to rise high in the sky behind me. It was ironic how my safe-haven had become my battle ground, my final stand.
"How have I betrayed you, sister?! I've given you everything; my heart, my soul, and now you want my very blood?! How much greed must there be in this acursed world?!" I lept up off of the ground for an aerial attack. I slammed my body as hadr as I could into hers, as I clamped my fangs down into her front leg. She yelped in pain as it snapped. I realesed and lept back, snarling as warm blood dripped down from my mandibles. She snarled back as she slid back, panting and babying her wounded leg. She smirked before calmly walking twoards me. Her tail had risen like a truphant flag; she leaned in close to my ear.
"What mother and father used to say was true... You really are a spectacular fighter. It's a shame that such skills shall be waisted on a lifeless courpse!" She lept back a small ways before unleashing a mighty how that rang through the air, one that summoned glowing eyes from within the depths of the woods. I took one step back as I realized that I had been surrounded. She had cheated in our game, now I had lost. The wolves, most my former packmates, came closer and closer, snarling and snapping at me. The last thing I heard my sister say was "it's time to say good night" before her minions all attacked at once.

I was done for...

My fur felt warm, and I could feel soft grass underneath the side I was lying on. I opened my eyes, my vision blurry at first. The first thing I saw was the blured form of a white creature, and as my vision corrected itself, I saw it was a fellow wolf. Her golden eyes staired into me as if she knew my very life story. She smiled at me, seemingly happy that I was awake. I lifted my head as I changed my position from lying on my side to on my belly. Her tail wagged slightly.
W-who are you? How am I alive?" I asked, extreamly curious. The previous night's events should have left me dead, however I was there, and alive. Or at least I thought I was. Thinking about it, I actually felt extrodenarily well for someone who was almost dead, better than I had ever felt in fact. The wolf chuckled at me before sitting down. She curled her black-tipped tail around her hind leg.
"So many questions, and you've only just woken up!" She chuckeled slightly again before she continued. Her white fur glowed golden as the sun rose behind her. "I saved you. I had seen what had happened, so I came to your aid. For you see, I have a sister with the same name as yours. I could not stand to loose her, and I saw her in your face, so I had to help. Look at your new awakened form." Her tail thumped slightly against the ground as I looked at my body. My grey and black fur was now covered with purple markings, most if not all resembled the cresent moon. The one on my side reminded me of the moon's reflection on rippling waters. I remembed seeing the reflection often in the stream.

Please call me Bane!

"Outside, its tracks began to fill up with snow, and the shriek of the wind seems savage with pleasure. There is nothing of God or Light in that heartless sound-- it is all black winter and dark ice.

Re: Pound of Hope [ADOPTS OPEN!]

Postby Tarantulatom » Wed Jun 01, 2011 4:59 pm

before I put in the work of creating a donation, I wanted to be clear on something.

I read on a different adoption thread that they don't allow solid coloured animals because it's unlikely that they'll be adopted. I know that there's no such rule or implication here, but is it inadvisable to submit, say, a white wolf?

I have a character that I adopted from a long gone member from an old role play site I was on. I RP'd with her some, but the site eventually died, and I never really connected to her. Instead of just pretending that she never happened or just burying her memory, I've found the idea of having someone else adopt her again and truly give her the love she deserves more to my liking.

If a simple white wolf though is too plain, that's okay. Just would like to know before I begin the process of putting her on drawing paper. Thanks!
