I am looking to adopt...Picture:
Kennel number: 106
Name: Tsukuyomi
Nicknames include Tsuki, Yomi, Yami, and tsu-tsu
Breed: Dire Wolf/ Shapeshifter (Dire wolf to human)
Why do you want this animal and what will you do for it?:After my little CS break I had for a little bit, I decided to check here, just to look and see if there were any character designs that I liked. When I scrolled down, I imediatly saw her, and I fell. Spotty always has the knack for creating the perfect design. I just absolutly love her colors; the dark colored fur offset by a pair of golden eyes. Lastly, her markigs are just so... undescribely amazing. All in all, she's just beatutiful, and I want her to be my next character!
Personality: ~Blunt and to the point~Tsuki Never sugar-coats anything. Ever. She tells everything just how it is, and says exactly how she feels about something, even at the most inoppertune time. She never wastes time in saying anything that needs to be said, no matter how much it would hurt others or herself. For her, the straight truth is the only option.
~Independent~Tsuki does everything by herself, no matter how daunting the task. She hates working with others because it just slows her down, not to mention that she feels like a loser when she relies on others. Plus, there is the added responsibility for the actions of those she's stuck with; if they skrew up or die, she at least feels like it's on her paws.
~Just a shadow in the night~Everywhere she goes, Tsuki tries to just blend in, to not be noticed. She hates having to talk with others, because she knows that she'll hurt their feelings or insult them in one way or another, so she feels that avoiding confruntation is for the best.
Likes: ~Night time, the moon, and the stars~Even as a young pup, Tsuki loved the moon even before her eyes were open. She would always be caught twoards the edge of the den at night, before she was old enough to go outside, gazing up at the heavens. Thusly, her parents decided to name her Tsukuyomi, after the godess of the darkness and the moon. She feels secure and powerful after basking in the moonlight.
~Compremise~Tsuki prefers
Dislikes: History/Background: Moonlight shines on the wet grass in the clearing, glinting off of the dropplets of precipitation that remained after the day's rains. I lay there, in the center of the clearing, my strength returning. I can feel the spring breeze interlace their cool fingers between my fur. The scent of the revived flowers floods my nosterals; I am at peace.
Ah, this curse of immortal life. Why it was thrust upon me, perhaps why I was so worthy of it, I may never know. I saw the golden age of my breed slowly slip from my grasp. My family, they passed one by one, and have now turned to dust.
13,000 years. That's how long I've been here. And most likely I will be for even longer.
Where to begin, I do not know. However, for the sake of some sence of normalcy in this tale of madness, I guess I should begin with my childhood. Most would say, when beigining their own story, would say something along the lines of, "I was a normal child..." However, for me, this was not the case. I was always a bit different, my parents knew that from the day I was born. I always had my head twoards the moon.
Even before my senses had come, before light filled my eyes, even before any violent sound wave tinggled my ears, I knew what the moon was. In fact, I was caught outside basking in its heavenly glow at a week old. That godly orb has facinated me for all eternity. That facination would lead to my downfall, my imortality.
My lonelyness...
Due to my love of the moon, I was named after the godess of the moon, who had been known to the dire wolves for thousands of years, before she was adapted by the humans. Tsukuyomi, godess of the great moon and the darkness that surrounds. What a perfect name for a pup of my deminor. Her name suited me like no other, besides the great godess herself.
I remember, I was barely a year old, almost old enough to venture out on my own, when I decided to go to my hideing place. It was a small, undiscovered medow in the midst of the forrest in which I lived that had a perfect view of the moon. I would go there whenever I needed to think or just wanted the comfort of the moon. That night I needed both.
I was conflicted; I was torn, in truth. My parents had offered me a choice to stay with the pack and become the next-in-line alpha female, even though I was the youngest. I knew how my older sister, Ayame, longed for the position, but I secretly wanted it, too. I never thought that it could have been mine untill recently. I had to make the choice; should I choose the love of my elder sister, or the place that I always secretly longed to be. It would be hard, since I loved my sister more than anyone else in the family, and we were closer to eachother than any other pair of sisters were. I never wished to harm her.
I paced to and fro, gazing up twoards the moon for guidance. What should I do? Then I paused; it had come to me. Why not share the pack's rule with my sister? It was so brilliant that it had to work. This way, we would both get what we wanted. I would tell my parents in the morning. Once I had, they had agreed to the idea after a little prompting from me. I thought we would be happy. However, I was too blind to realize that my sister was not. However, she agreed to be a co-alphess without hesitation. I was happy for the time being.
A few years later, the time had come to pass that our parents passed away. they had gone hunting with the hunters, and never returned. So, my plan was to come into action. Ayame and myself were instated as the alphesses of the pack, and the responsibility hit us like a boulder; it had wounded me more so than her.
One of our jobs, like that of the alphas before, was to lead the pack hunts. I voulenteered myself for this job, since I was the stronger hunter, however, my sister insisted she come along just to make sure I was up to the task.
"Tsuki and I will go this way and hunt. The rest of you, go the opposet." She said. At that point and time, it had been hard to find anything to eat, so it seemed logical to me that the pack was split, but so unevenly, I did not know. Untill we reached my secret cove.
"Wh-what?! How did you know about this place?" I gasped in awe. My sister gave me a sinister smile as she walked up to me.
"I know all your secrets sister... However, I plan to let this place die with you." She began to snarl in a sadistic way. I was taken aback.
"Ayame, what do you mean? What are you planning on doing?" I gasped. I perked my ears forward, trying to look dominant but to no avail.
"I mean I want this pack for myself! You were always the favorite of mother and father, and although I was the eldest, I heard what they wanted to do! They wanted to give
you, an immature little twirp, the title of alphess of this pack! When I'm the only one who deserves it!!" She snarled, spittle dripping from her muzzle in anger. I was shocked. My ears flattened back as my mouth stood agape. I had no idea that she had wanted to be alphess so strongly. I closed my mouth and lowered my head.
"I intended to have us rule the pack side be side... however, since you want it so badly, I'll..." I whinced slightly, realizing that my dreams were now unable to be fulfilled, " Resign as alphess, giving you full control. And... I'll leave. For good. You'll never see me again." I whined and looked up at her, for what seemed like it would be the last time. Ayame paused for a momment and considered the situation. That was the last calm look I ever saw on her face. She hunched down as a malicious snral erupted onto her face. The fur on her back rose and almost seemed to touch the sky, as he claws dug deep into the earth. She let out a wolfish roar before she spoke.
"No. That's not good enough! You have betrayed me once, and the trust between us is now gone! Your foolish words mean nothing to me! Your death is the only soultion!"
She lept forward, aiming for my jugular, but I nimbly dogged; her fangs narrowly scraped my neck, causing it to bleed. Now I was mad. I stood erect and snarling, as the moon began to rise high in the sky behind me. It was ironic how my safe-haven had become my battle ground, my final stand.
"How have I betrayed you, sister?! I've given you everything; my heart, my soul, and now you want my very blood?! How much greed must there be in this acursed world?!" I lept up off of the ground for an aerial attack. I slammed my body as hadr as I could into hers, as I clamped my fangs down into her front leg. She yelped in pain as it snapped. I realesed and lept back, snarling as warm blood dripped down from my mandibles. She snarled back as she slid back, panting and babying her wounded leg. She smirked before calmly walking twoards me. Her tail had risen like a truphant flag; she leaned in close to my ear.
"What mother and father used to say was true... You really are a spectacular fighter. It's a shame that such skills shall be waisted on a lifeless courpse!" She lept back a small ways before unleashing a mighty how that rang through the air, one that summoned glowing eyes from within the depths of the woods. I took one step back as I realized that I had been surrounded. She had cheated in our game, now I had lost. The wolves, most my former packmates, came closer and closer, snarling and snapping at me. The last thing I heard my sister say was "it's time to say good night" before her minions all attacked at once.
I was done for...My fur felt warm, and I could feel soft grass underneath the side I was lying on. I opened my eyes, my vision blurry at first. The first thing I saw was the blured form of a white creature, and as my vision corrected itself, I saw it was a fellow wolf. Her golden eyes staired into me as if she knew my very life story. She smiled at me, seemingly happy that I was awake. I lifted my head as I changed my position from lying on my side to on my belly. Her tail wagged slightly.
W-who are you? How am I alive?" I asked, extreamly curious. The previous night's events should have left me dead, however I was there, and alive. Or at least I thought I was. Thinking about it, I actually felt extrodenarily well for someone who was almost dead, better than I had ever felt in fact. The wolf chuckled at me before sitting down. She curled her black-tipped tail around her hind leg.
"So many questions, and you've only just woken up!" She chuckeled slightly again before she continued. Her white fur glowed golden as the sun rose behind her. "I saved you. I had seen what had happened, so I came to your aid. For you see, I have a sister with the same name as yours. I could not stand to loose her, and I saw her in your face, so I had to help. Look at your new awakened form." Her tail thumped slightly against the ground as I looked at my body. My grey and black fur was now covered with purple markings, most if not all resembled the cresent moon. The one on my side reminded me of the moon's reflection on rippling waters. I remembed seeing the reflection often in the stream.
