Are we allowed to post a form today, like right now? Or is that too last minute and guys won't judge? ^^; Because I really want to apply for #10 and I got the permission yesterday and have been working since then on the form. I'll post it now, because I won't really be around, I have to go do some commuinity service today. ^^; So here's my form:
Pet's ID Tag: Kennel #10
Image of pet
Name You'd Choose for It: Mikko (pronounced meek-co)
Gender: Male
Reason You Want It: So many reasons. XD Hmmm...let's see, he's cute and adorable, I love red pandas. I've been in love with them since I was little and my love for them has been rekindled when I got to see them at the zoo twice over the summer. Now I've become flat out obsessed with them.

I would really like to have a red panda friend for my two red panda characters Mavik and Lilac. I'm contemplating making Lilac and Mikko mates, but I don't really know if I really want to or not yet. ^^; I suppose I'll figure that out if I get him. XD
History/Background/Other:Personality: Mikko is extremely playful and energetic, if you can't find him munching on some bamboo, he's off playing with his friends or just by himself. He's a bundle full of energy. He's fun loving and adventuresome, if there's something new in his environment, he's the first to go check it out. Mikko is also very intelligent, though it doesn't seem to show up very often. It seems to come and go at random times. He'll be saying something smart and then a moment later, be off playing or doing something that makes you question his intelligence.
Background: Miko was born and bred in captivity, he was taken away from his family and the zoo that he was born in to be put into another zoo as part of their breeding program. Mikko wasn't quite ready to do anything like that yet, so he pretty much ignored the female and just played around. The people at the new zoo had no idea what was wrong with him and decided to keep him for awhile longer to see if he'd grow up or get attached. When neither happened, they decided to ship him back to his old home. During the shipping process, an accident happened. The truck encountered black ice on the road and lost control, barreling into a tree. Mikko came out alive and unharmed, but he was very, very lost.
Story:
I-I'm lost. Mikko thought in despair as he looked around his environment. He could see the truck he had been in was practically wrapped around the tree it had collided with, he watched as the driver stumbled out of the truck and the emergency people swarming around the accident. But they were all too far away from him to notice him, he'd never get there in time for someone to notice him and whisk him away back home.
I can't give up hope. He thought to himself, his face set in determination.
I have to get home. But red pandas aren't known for the their speed, mostly they're known for their adorableness and were apparently the mascots for the Darjeeling Tea Festival in some country near their native land. Mikko had learned that bit of information from the sign that had been staked in the ground out in front of his exhibit. But he wasn't in his safe habitat anymore, he was in an unfamiliar place, and he was hurt with no way of knowing how to get home. He truly was lost. How in the world was he going to survive, let alone find his old zoo? He would need nothing short of a miracle.
Mikko looked up, checking the sky for predators. Nothing, which meant that it was safe...for now at least. He decided now was as good as time as ever to try to get back over to the wreckage and hope someone would notice him and take him back to his home. Red pandas have a sort of waddling gait when they walk, but Mikkow wasn't going to let that fact stop him from trying to be fast. He wasn't really all that far away, but judging by how fast things were going, he didn't know if he'd make it there in time before everyone left. When he reached the bustle of everyone, he weaved his way through the forest of legs. He was searching for someone, someone who looked like they would understand. He found a teenage girl who was staring right at him...and smiling. She didn't look like the stereotypical popular girl, or the stereotypical nerd either. She just
looked really nice. He decided that she was the one he needed to go to. He waddled over to her and looked at her all cute and cuddly like. It didn't take long at all for her to break down before his charms and whisk him away into her car. She spoke spoftly and kindly to him as they drove away, telling him that she'd take him back to his home, back to the local zoo. Mikko hoped with all his heart that the local zoo would be same zoo that he was going to be delivered to anyway. As he sat in the back seat of the car, he noticed it smelled like dog.
She must have a dog. He thought to himself.
I'm just glad it's not in here with me. With that he resigned himself to watching the scenery blur by as the girl continued to drive.
When they pulled up to the zoo and parked in the parking lot, the girl got a collar and leash out of the back. She told him, again, in soft words that she was going to put it on him so that she could take him back without having to make a second trip out to her car with one of the zoo keepers just to go get him. He sat there and endured her as she put on the collar and attached the leash.
It's only temporary. He thought in an effort to comfort himself.
But it's so uncomfortable. When they got to the gates, the lady at the window looked at the girl in a funny way, but when she looked down and saw him, her eyes became all bug-eyed. Faster than you would have believed, she picked up her walkie-talkie and told someone to come to the front gates to pick up a red panda.
Once Mikko was back safe and sound in the habitat, lounging with all four of his legs dangling from the fragrant fir tree he was in, he listened as the girl related the whole story to the zoo keepers about what had happened. Mikko smiled to himself when he heard the zoo keepers tell her that whenever she wanted to come to zoo, just check up on him, they'd be more than happy to let her in. She was so happy, he could tell. Just by the way she carried herself as she walked out of the zoo.
Other: I seriously had no idea someone applied for him and called him Niko...freaky. XD Apparently a name with "iko" in it really works for him. ^^;
