Please wait for me because
In my next life, I'll still love you
Don't try to save me...
As long as you know
That I love you
As long as you know I love you, it's fine.
Death gods...
Gods die.
Line 1-- Is straightforward enough X3
Line 2-- Still straightforward |D
Line 3-- Still.
Line 4-- Again.
Line 5-- It's common belief of many Asian cultures that people are reborn in cycles. Everyone has a past life, present life, and next life. The person saying the poem would then be dying and going to the next life. They're saying that they'll still love you in their next life even though they might be separated.
Line 6-- The speaker accepts their death as inevitable.
Line 7 to 9-- Devotion of love...
Line 10-- Many asian cultures believe in gods that deal primarily in death. Contrary to western belief of evil death gods like the grim reaper, eastern death gods were often believed as the "good" gods. They helped souls into next lives. The Japanese culture has shinigami which are most popular in today's society~
Line 10 to 11- This is basically saying that even death gods that are almighty and are around death constantly will die. Even the strongest will die eventually. Death is inevitable for all of us, even gods and even death gods :3
