Sorry to mini mod, but a interdiction is like a little story for your tracker, basically what makes you win it. So, if you don't have it, then you won't get the tracker.

You know, don't bother with trying to "guide" people through forms. If they don't bother to look at other forms or ask for help before posting, and give horrible reasons as to why they want the Tracker, then it makes my job more easy. (:

Tracker #22

Postby MelodiousNocturne » Wed Mar 02, 2011 5:10 am

Tracker Dog Application Series 7
Username: MelodiousNocturne
Tracker Dog you want: 22
Name you'll give it:Irridiate
Reason why you want it: Well, I saw the Trackers and I really have been itching to get one, and since CJ Shaw won #17, I decided to try again. When I saw this handsome boy, I instantly fell in love with him and his markings. The radiation green in harmony with the black and white, combining two of my favorite color combinations together and topping it all off with a biohazard sign. I knew that I had to try extra-hard for him.

Will it be used in any kind of story?
Oh yes, now that i think about it, I could come up with a lot of art and stories with Irridiate and his owner, Mr. Steven Wilson. Mostly art though, I'd love take on the challenge of drawing a Tracker.

Describe its personality:He is calm and collected, ever watching and waiting for the order to help someone. Irridiate is the epitome of how a good dog should behave. He never jumps the gun, acting only in direct relation to his owner's command. He never shies away from an order, even if he knows it would put him in danger. He is not fearless, just courageous. His cool demeanor can be interrupted, but it is difficult. His sister is the main thing, though. He cherishes every moment he spends with her, shedding the training and obedience for the personality of a happy young pup, romping around and enjoying life without responsibilities. However, were there a dangerous situation and he was needed, he would change, becoming the side that his line of work forces him to be. Failure is not an option for him.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
I kept my nose lowered to the ground, scenting for this thing they wanted me to find. I'd done many training exercises like this, it was a routine. The gentle methodic click of my toenails against metal radiated out, allowing me to 'see' in bursts. My tongue lolled against the ground, providing me with a little extra 'sight'. Click. I gently sidestepped the obstacle in my path, I didn't know what it was, but it didn't matter to my mission, it didn't smell like what I was searching for. I kept walking, slowly and intently, every nerve in my body tensed for anything. A small noise off to my left made my head jerk up, seconds before I leaped out of harms way. My paws hit the cold metal as a net shot across where I'd just been. The trainers said that in a real mission, a trap like that may be something else, a gun, a trapdoor. Getting the object was only half of the mission. The other half? Don't get caught. My trainers said my sister and I had great potential. Drug dogs, helping carry medicine to the sick in an epidemic, the list carried on. I felt proud. I paused and let the thoughts fade away. I could jeopardize the mission if I thought of her too much. A gentle sigh slipped from my mouth, I couldn't help it. She and I had always been together. However, I had overheard that when our training was done, we'd be seperated. We'd be adopted by different owners. A thought that continued to bother me. I realized I'd been frozen in place for a while now, and lowered my nose to the ground again. They might think that something was the matter if I lingered much longer. I inhaled deeply, and went back to work. All the thoughts in my head became nothing more than emptiness, I had to focus.

An eternity passed before the scent became definite. It had always lingered, like a peripheral ghost in my mind, but now I could almost taste it. It was a dark, ugly color, one that made me shudder. It was something dangerous. I ventured closer, sniffing gently where the color was strongest and sneezed. I barked and whined, scratching at the metal panel it was hiding behind. I heard them congratulating me from across the room. Thier voices echoed off the walls and momentarily, I could see everything in the room. I could hear one approaching in a suit, i think they called it a 'Hazmat'.I sat faithfully as the trainer removed the material and patted my head, scratching my ears the best he could through the suit. I panted and barked, knowing better than to jump on him. I'd heard of a younger dog in previous times that had ripped the suit, exposing his trainer to the hazardous materials. I didn't want to be a repeat. I followed him to where he disposed of the stuff as I always did to make sure nothing happed. The mission wasn't over until it was over. When they gave me a treat for a job well done, I could relax. Just then I heard a sound I never wanted to hear on a mission. It was the sound of ripping material. I sprung into action, pulling the harmful substance from the trainer's hand and taking it far from him. My hurried steps lit up the room as I dodged agilely around barriers. I placed it where it was intended to be and raced back. My heart pounded as I realized the trainer was on the floor, and I howled and barked. I whined as I realized that I'd never be able to pull him across the metal floor. His suit would catch too much, but I couldn't wait for the others to put on thier suits. I was lucky it was a thin, young man. I nudged his arm up over my head and pushed him up on to my back as much as I could. I wouldn't allow this crisis to end in failure. Sure that I had him, I gently put my mouth around his arm and began trying to pull him to safety. I'd never faced something like this before, and I was scared more than ever that I'd fail. Pulling him along was a painfully slow process, one that agonized my mind. What if I failed? No. I can't fail. I shook the thoughts from my mind, and started foward with new determination. I panted from the exertion but I wouldn't give up, I couldn't. Suddenly, there was noise everywhere at once and it confused me. Voices yelling, the smell of fear and panic. The trainer was removed from my back as i heard the shuffling and crackling of the Hazmat suits. I followed after them, whining softly.

The next day...

I sat alone in my cage. I hadn't heard if the trainer had survived or if I had failed. My sister was in the cage next to me, whining softly at me. She was worried about me. I sighed and flopped to the ground. My food bowl was left untouched, but I wasn't hungry. What if I had failed? I covered my face with my large paws, it was unbearable. A trainer came in to take my sister out for her training. No one came for me. I shrunk to the back of my cage, despondent and feeling alone. Finally, after what literally felt like eternity, a trainer came to get me. He didn't seem angry or anything. He gently clucked his tongue at me, and I inched forward. He gently grabbed my collar and brought me out. I assumed he was there to take me to train. I was wrong. He brought me to a sterile room with few scents in it. One I recognized immediately, the trainer that had been exposed to the substance was here. I whined and pulled forward, anxious to see if the man was okay. His scent was strong and I could hear breathing. Someone began talking and patting my head. Everyone in the room was tense, but they seemed mildly pleased. They began petting me, congratulating me and I knew I hadn't failed. I also knew however, that I never wanted to feel that feeling again. I heard a soft groan and a hush fell over the room. There was the sound of moving from the bed, and I loped over there. A hand began petting me and the soft, hoarse voice of the trainer I saved rang in my ears. "Thanks buddy, I would have never survived if it weren't for you." His fingers weakly scratched my ears and I yipped happily in response. He chuckled and settled back into the bed. His voice rang out once more, "I think he's ready. Take him to the kennels." I didn't know what he meant, what was I ready for? I could hear soft snores coming from the trainer and sighed happily. He'd be okay. One of the other trainers pulled gently on my collar and trotted next to him. But he turned a different way than anywhere I'd ever gone. I stopped dead in my tracks. He chuckled and spoke softly, encouraging me. I started forward cautiously, and soon smelled my sister. My pace picked up, and I was once again trotting at his side. If she was here, I had nothing to worry about. He stopped and patted me before leading me into a place with all sorts of Trackers. The smells mixed and no one here seemed unhappy, but I still didn't understand. They placed me in a cage with a soft bed, good-smelling food, and fresh water. It was heaven to me.

I stayed in there for sometime, hearing people come in and Trackers leave with them. It wasn't until someone came looking for my sister that it dawned on me. I suddenly realized why Trackers left with people. The kennel was where we were adopted! I paced in my large cage, suddenly making sense of everything. My sister and i were going to be seperated today. My emotions mixed as I realized the truth of where I was. I was proud that I was ready to take on real-world missions, but sad that I'd be taken away from my sister. Fear, happiness, pride, sadness all swirled in me. I whined as the people petted my sister, agreeing happily that she'd be perfect. I whined and scratched at the floor in front of the cage door. The kennel supervisor looked at me and laughed, talking quickly and pointing at me then my sister. "-make sure you let these two visit each other." I barely made out the last tidbit of his sentence, but it made me happy. I'd still get to see her.

I paced somemore, restless and unable to get rid of this pent-up energy. I heard the bell of someone entering and my head snapped up. I went to the front of the cage, sitting proudly, trying to show off my usefulness. Someone began talking in front of my cage, saying that they needed a dog that could act in the face of a crisis. My tail wagged as I pushed my nose through the bars. I snuffled gently, trying to smell them. They had a soft, gentle smell. The voice was a male, and he sounded nice. There was a commanding air in his tone, but he was soft spoken. I liked him already. The man continued to say that a new team was being created experimentally to discover if Trackers could be of use to Hazmat workers. The supervisor laughed and I heard the click of the latch to my cage door. "He's your dog then. Already saved a trainer whose suit ripped on a panel while he was training. Without Number Twenty-two here, Mr. Alexander would have died." The man only murmured his satisfaction, " Number Twenty-two, huh? Is that your name, boy? Seems a little too, mechanical. How 'bout Irridiate?" I wagged my taill happily and barked my approval. "Well then, Mr. Wilson, looks like Irridiate seems pretty pleased with that. However, make sure he gets to see his twin. That's the only requirement he carries with him." Mr. Wilson only chuckled, "That shouldn't be too hard. I'll keep that in mind." I barked and bounced like a pup, licking my new owner in the face. He scratched my ears and laughed, "Down boy!" He unhooked my old collar and snapped on a harness. "Come on, time to go home." My whole body shook as my excitement welled over and my tail wagged hard enough it seemed I might make a small hurricane. He walked me out to his car, amazed by my ability to not even stray when a bird chirped. I loped by his side the entire way, bounding into the car when he opened the door. He continued to laugh at me, a light-hearted encouraging sound as I stuck my face out the open window. The wind roared in my ears and blew scents I'd never smelled into my sensors. The sensation of it all was amazing. The car finally stopped and he turned it off. "We're here Irridiate." he announced as he stroked my back. He opened the door for me and let me wander the yard. I romped in the short, soft green delighting in the earthy smells. New sounds filled my ears and I wandered over to a fence. The sound of chewing and a strange smell accompanied a large form. I barked at it and bounced side-to-side, letting loose all the energy I'd been unable to release in the cage. My owner called to me, whistling and laughing at my antics. My head snapped up and I ran back to him, stretching my body out as far as I could, enjoying the space and freedom. He led me inside, and showed me around the house, letting me sniff everything. Finally, he showed me where I'd stay. It was a spacious room with hard floors that my nails clicked on, allowing me to see everything. He led me to my bed and then to a large door that i could push open to get outside. I knew instantly I was going to love it here.

First mission...

"Irridiate! In here boy!" I followed the sound of my master's voice, squeezing into a room that smelled dangerous. Dark, deadly colors filled the air and I pressed my shoulder against his leg, hearing the crackle of his suit. "Iind the source boy. I know you can do it!" The gentle tone he normally used was gone, replaced by a commanding urgency. "We can't allow this to leak out." I barked, and inhaled deeply. Then I lowered my nose to the ground and began foward, just as I always did in training. The smell was everywhere at once, and I whined softly. I'd never been somewhere where the scent was like this. My owner walked beside me, patting my back. "Come on boy. you can do it." His tone was soft again and I sneezed and looked up. Suddenly, as if the motion had stirred the smells up, I suddenly had a lead. I started forward, carefully stepping around the objects on the ground. The smell was suddenly overpoweringly strong. I barked and whined, scratching at the area. "Good boy. We'll get the cleanup crew in here and get this all cleaned up." I barked and wagged my tail as he planted a flag on the spot and went headed back. I trotted with my head held high, as we exited the area and the cleanup crew rushed in to clear out the substance. My owner patted me on the head a flicked me a treat, which I caught deftly in midair. My first mission had been a total success.

(If I win and don't respond immediately, it's because I can't get online much right now. I'll try to get on tomorrow and Thursday but I may not be able to respond. I really want #23, don't get me wrong. Real life just interferes with online time ^^)

Nex? Sorry to bother you but I have a question. I feel like my form is not quite up to par with the other forms. I'd like to edit and continue if possible. But, if you have already read it that's fine. I also don't want to give you way to much to read x.x Can I edit it, or would you prefer me to just leave as is?

If you feel that your form can be improved, then by all means, go ahead and edit it. I really don't mind a bit of extra reading. Just don't write an entire book. (:
