>> I don't know, but for some reason I really see this BD as being a dreamer. Pursuing his dreams is what he is all about. What those dreams are, I don't know yet. I see him as inspiring and hopeful and never giving up until he reaches his goals, even if he gets hurt along the way. No matter how old he gets, he'll still be dreaming. His coloring also reminds me of a dreamer. Or more so, another saying that is supposed to mean follow your dreams, and don't give up, because only greatness can come. 'Reach for the moon; even if you miss you'll land among the stars.' The stark black with the hints of white and blue remind me of the millions of stars against the night sky, with the blue eye being the moon, just a small dot against the vast starry expanse (is the horse a blue roan? That's my favorite colored horse coat ;D). This kind of signifies that although your dreams may be hard to reach, its not impossible, and even if you don't make it, there's still greatness.

I'm probably starting to ramble and not make sense, so I'll stop it here. But yeah, this is how I perceive his spirit and soul ^.^

Would It Matter- Skillet

The song I have chosen is Would It Matter by the Christian rock band, Skillet. I chose this song for many reasons.

For one, the appearance of this pet seems really sad and dismal, like he feels not worth it and that is what this song is all about. Feeling like he has been betrayed, abandoned, despised...
Secondly, I adore this song and it just came to mind straight away. The song reminds me quite a lot of myself in a way so having a BD pet that shares that problem would be really great.
Third and finally, being able to adopt this pet would finally give Chestnut a friend and I can imagine him meeting her in this situation. Shadow believing he is worthless and then Chestnut trying to rebuild his confidence...

I can just imagine Shadow thinking he's some kind of beast that doesn't deserve to live happily. Believing that death is his only release and yet there is something, just something, keeping him from leaving...
He would feel worthless, hated and all those other emotions because his memories have always been of him alone. He doesn't remember his parents so believes they abandoned him. The truth... Well, that's a whole different story
