Code Drop Form ListWoot, new week. Yet another list for the staff to use for the Code Drop this next week~ Seeing as how people seem to confuse this with the regular code drop, I will explain here, so please make sure to read. This list is not the Code Drop, but simply a list of me collecting forms at a steadier pace as to make sure no one gets accidentally skipped over, and to make the judging a little easier come Saturday. ;3 As always, do not quote or edit this post yourself, as I am the one in charge of this, and doing so will only be confusing and spamming for both me and the rest of the staff. Please remember that if you are trying out for the same character again this week], you must repost your form~

Reason You Want It:
Not only did his "cute-ness" factor melt my heart when I saw him, but I think he would make a great fit with my other chars. I have one other human character and I keep telling myself that I will adopt or create him a friend, or in just general get a another human character or two. But, so far I just haven't been successful in finding a character that fits my fancy. I need a character that I really like and feel attached to and I feel that this character fits those standards. Personally I know that I'm not going to let him rot, I would hate to see him not used after sitting here in the pound for so long. If I were to be successful in adopting him I would use him for personal literature and art (collecting and making.) In the fall I may even join an rp with him.
On A Side Note:
After looking back to his original picture I have come to realize how much I have been over-looking. I realize now that so many of the characters that I have ignored in the past at different adoption agencies could be wonderful stand-out characters with just a little attention. I can honestly say that I am sort of excited to revisit some of the other adoption agencies and try digging out other diamonds in the rough. This kennel has really opened my eyes. c:
History/Background/Other:
To be quite blunt about it, Sam was an accident. His father wanting nothing to do with a newborn child and left his mother. His mother did her best to support and raise Sam, however the several jobs she worked to keep them afloat caused her to be away for most of the time. His mom hired nannies to look after him while she was away, however none of them stayed long and no bonds were ever formed with his many nannies, let alone his own mother. His closest bond was with their cat Berry; no matter how many different nannies he had, he always had Berry and from this stemmed his fondness of animals, particularly cats.
Soon after Sam turned 3 his mom was killed in a car collision and having no other known family he was sent into the foster care system. He spent the next 5 years going from foster house to foster house. Some were better than others but none ever left a positive impact on Sam. Having no true friends or family Sam became shy and reserved. His one true companion, Berry had been sent to the pound after his mom was killed. The other orphaned kids and the kids he saw at school saw him as loner and thought of him as a weird "girly-boy" and stuck away from him. Yes Sam was a loner, but not by his own choosing. He simply lacked social and communication skills and was honestly quite lonely.
A month before his 9th birthday Sam was adopted by a family in Massachusetts. It was a nice family; a middle aged couple and a nice house; in the suburbs; however Sam could never feel a strong enough bond to his adopted parents. At this time Sam had matured mentally more than average kid his age, however he still remained a loner. In attempt to open him up, his adopted parents got him a new cat named Apple. Although this made Sam a happier kid he still remained on his own as he felt like he didn't fit in with the other kids.
The biggest turning point for Sam was found in the house next door. Now, there was only two other houses on Sam's street and the rest was all woods that was backed by a larger neighborhood. The first house, across the street, was owned by an elderly man who didn't really get out much. The second house; the house next door, was an old two story house that was abandoned and boarded up. It wasn't exactly scary but it wasn't something that wasn't quite desirable to approach. Sam had seen movement in the house and sometimes very dim lights but never thought much of it; just his mind playing tricks he always thought. He would have continued to believe that it was all in his head had his cat Apple not chased a bat into the house next door. Afraid of losing Apple, Sam went to try to get him back.
Finding the door unlocked Sam went in finding that the house actually showed signs of inhabitants. Spooking a little bit Sam hurried on into the next room to find Apple sitting in the middle of the floor observing the bat who had come to rest on the floor in the corner, between an old, worn couch and the wall. Having his fondness of animals, Sam crawled over to the bat to make sure apple had not hurt it, only to discover that there was more hidden in the corner; a quivering blanket. Confused and quickly becoming more spooked Sam whispered a hello.
The quivering blanket was then flunk over the side of the couch revealing a 9 year old orphan boy crying out and bawling, "Don't take my house, PLEASE!!..." And this was how Sam met Cooper. Although Sam had never felt compelled to make friends and be social he felt a sudden connection with Cooper and the two became fast friends. I suppose it was the fact that Cooper was also an orphan and Sam wanted to protect him. The bat, as Sam later learned was Coopers companion Popcorn. Not only did Sam finally gain a friend but he became more open and friendly although he still remains slightly reserved.
We now reach Sam's current position in life as a energetic 12 year old who rushes home every day after school to sneak away to see Cooper. Sam is currently at the best point in his life and is making some social progress at school with the other kids while still remaining reserved. He is also much happier lately and is learning to connect with his adopted parents.
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.
